Apr 13, 2012When I go to voicemail it just dials my voicemail like the old days with a flip phone. I am no longer getting voicemail notifications either. Called sprint and they said it was apple's problem and a software update was needed. Apple denied this and recommended a hard reset which did not work. They are going to call me back later with other options to try to fix it but this requires that I have another phone which won't happen till later tonight. Any tips? I'd like to get visual voicemail back and I'd also like my old voicemails too! Is this a sprint or apply problem?

As time passed, this was no longer sufficient and I had to do a battery pull while the device was plugged in to a power source, for full reboot.

Oct 7, 2011I am using a Blue Ant Q1 Blue Tooth headset and updated to the latest firmware on it. Now when I tell the Blue Ant Voice command the command 'Phone prompt' it connects with my Blackberry Torch 9800 Nuance Voice command option with no problems.Now when I tell the Nuance voice command the numbers of a phone number I want to call, it will repeat it back to me to verifying the number. Now the numbers are clear when the voice command repeats the number I want to call.I swear it really sounds like the very first computer voice ever created, it's all garbled and muddy like. No real clarity in what it is repeating back to me.It is very hard to make out what the voice command is repeating back to me to verify the word I used to describe the number I want it to call.Now, I shut off my Blue Ant Blue Tooth headset and tried the Nuance voice commands with my phone only and I get the same poor quality computer animated voice issues coming out of my Blackberry Torch 9800.Is this normal, I sure hope not, after purchasing what I consider a top quality cell phone. I would expect more clarity with this software from Blackberry and Nuances.This is the one feature that I really need for a cell phone to perform well for me, since I am on the road a lot for my business and needs handsfree dialing.

My phone is now speaking every command (it didn't have this option before it went for repair!) but it keeps asking me to enter my passcode but when I do nothing appears in the four passcode boxes - all the phone does is repeat out loud my passcode number. I have read some of the forum threads & understood that it is a bug which exist in all blackberry fones, is there any solution found recently?If anyone know, updating the software with latest release of software would solve the problem??
Since I was unable to press * while speaking I was unable proceed with the call and the call ended after some time.

Dec 14, 2015Something I have noticed since upgrading to Marshmallow, and probably the only thing I don't like, is that music playback, for instance Spotify, will not longer mute whenever the phone is "Speaking." In fact, it doesn't even reduce in volume at all, whenever the phone is giving feedback through Moto Voice all other sounds will continue at full volume as well.
The reason this is an issue for me is that I tend to use the phone as my music source plugged in via an Aux cable, in the past, I could have sworn that other sounds were reduced in volume or muted whenever the phone was "speaking." That made voice commands while in the car driving actually usable, but now they are not anymore. I could use things like talk to me, replying to messages, etc. but if other sounds don't get muted, I can't interact with it at all, there's too much noise with music still going.
