IPhone :: Is Speaking Every Command ?
May 19, 2012I have just received my iphone back from being repaired following water damage. My phone is now speaking every command (it didn't have this option before it went for repair!) but it keeps asking me to enter my passcode but when I do nothing appears in the four passcode boxes - all the phone does is repeat out loud my passcode number. I am able to receive calls but that is all.

Dec 4, 2014I just upgraded from iPhone 5 to iPhone 6. I restored all my settings. I have version 8.1.1 installed. When I am typing a text out, the phone is speaking it back to me. I do not want that turned on so I can text in silence. I am not referring to speaking and then having the phone relay what I am speaking into a text. How do I stop the phone from speaking what I am texting to someone?

Oct 24, 2011When ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.

Dec 14, 2015Something I have noticed since upgrading to Marshmallow, and probably the only thing I don't like, is that music playback, for instance Spotify, will not longer mute whenever the phone is "Speaking." In fact, it doesn't even reduce in volume at all, whenever the phone is giving feedback through Moto Voice all other sounds will continue at full volume as well.
The reason this is an issue for me is that I tend to use the phone as my music source plugged in via an Aux cable, in the past, I could have sworn that other sounds were reduced in volume or muted whenever the phone was "speaking." That made voice commands while in the car driving actually usable, but now they are not anymore. I could use things like talk to me, replying to messages, etc. but if other sounds don't get muted, I can't interact with it at all, there's too much noise with music still going.

Apr 10, 2012At the slide to unlock screen, it lets me slide the slider, but it freezes when i slide it all the way, then it displays a black screen with a wheel in the middle after about 30 seconds. Then it turns off. I decided to restore, and when I did, it displayed me with the iphone set up menu, but when I slide to unlock, the same thing happens. Pressing the home and sleep/wake button until the device turns off and the apple logo comes up doesn't work either.

Mar 26, 2012Since yesterday all the sudden my iphone 3gs is freezing at the slide to unlock screen. You can slide it over and then after a few minutes the phone will go to the circle with the lines on it screen then all the sudden stop doing anything. If I hold the top button and home button down I can hard reboot the phone and it works again until I have to slide to unlock then it happens again. The weird thing about this is that it only seems to be happening when the phone is not on a wifi network only 3g. What can I do about this? I have the latest iOS update installed and it's been installed for a while.
