When I turn my phone on in the morning, texts will come through from the day/night before while it was off. The time of the messages are always the time i turned it on, not when it was really sent. Is there a setting for that so I know when the messages were actually sent?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my Blackberry Torch 9800 everything worked for two days well not everything the browser said "uncaught exception java.lang illegal state so I did the sofeware update.After the update a I was unable to use the BB Messange..I went to my Service Provider and they told me I had to reload my OS which they did.I can send and recieve textes and calls but I still cannot get instant messaging, BB messanger and emails. I live in the Cayman Islands and my service provider is LIME. I bought this phone from Amazon via the OEM Planet in April.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell, this is my 3rd torch in about 10 months and i turned it on this morining to find that no one was replying to my texts... so i waited a few hours because i presumed that maybe some people were busy, etc... but it wasnt untill my freind sent me an fb message saying she replied to my texts sent earlier today, that i realised that something was wrong... i sent her another text saying to post on my wall what it was what i had sent her, to see if it was mine or her phone, turns out its my phone.... so to double check i sent a message from my other phone to the torch to see if it was just her bold misbehaving, but turns out that my phone didnt get that text either... checked my firewall to see if i had accidentaly set it to texts, i feel like throwing the phone on the floor because its so **bleep**.... after this im never buying a blackberry..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a forum search for my problem, and couldn't find an answer for my specific issue, which is this:My AT&T 9700 worked great until about a month ago, when it started to freeze while I was text messaging. Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I have done the following as well, in order:

Upgraded to the latest AT&T approved OS (5.0.0.602?)

Each time, the problem has recurred. I never have less than 105MB of application memory available.
I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?
This just started happening after the upgrade to froyo. I get a lot of texts from one person, and they were always displayed in the messaging widget before the upgrade. Now they only appear in the notification bar. Have tried deleting the conversation to start over but no change.

I put it on GPRS , because i didn't did any browsing on that day and to see how much my battery will last. So after a few phones, sms, emails, I was down to 80% by 10PM. Was very happy with what I saw. In background were running Accuweather and Facebook with update once every 3 hours. Also I have Battery Bost MAX, and an application which shows me battery icon with procentage.(Smart Blndie). I am in an area with good signal. Put the phone in the holster, and went to bed. I was very courios to see what the battery shows. At 6 AM i was shocked : 42%... I can't blame it on the applications, because if there were their fault, my battery should discharge the same over day... GPS is off, wifi is off. The phone has 2 weeks (almost new). I am runing 7.1.0.658 OS.. My screen is at 10%, and turn off over 20 seconds...

It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.
