My phone is charging perfect. The problem I have is that I cannot turn on my Blackberry Storm phone. On the screen sometimes only the red lights show and other time for the longest the hour glass or the a lil box will show up on the screen. It wont allow me to see anything on the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen a Blackberry user since March last year, although I seem to have struck lucky with the particular blackberry I've got - my Storm2 9520 has been a catalogue of problems since the start.Anyway, last night I dropped the phone in my room, and the screen broke. Now, all that can be seen is a bizarre, inky pattern onscreen, obscuring everything bar the very bottom of the view. However, the glass screen itself is undamaged. Whenever I've looked on the internet for fixes, nearly all of them seem to deal with cracked glass screens, but my screen is undamaged - the display and what's showing up onscreen is the problem. Now, I'm not very tech-savvy, so here's my questions for you all:
1) what is the nature of this problem, i.e.. what is actually broken?
2) does my Vodafone warranty likely cover this? I've already sent the phone off once to be fixed, when the screen was not working properly and wouldn't respond properly to my button presses.
3) If no to 2), how easy would it be to affect a fix myself? Would it simply be a case of buying a new screen part and fitting it?
My Black Berry Curve 8830 freezes up and I get the Hour glass symbol. I have 6.9 MB orf memory and a memory card with plenty of memory. I takes forever to go to websites..

I searched through the whole web but cannot find any instructions on how to replace the glass. There are many for iphones though. I bought one digitizer from ebay and plan to do it myself. I just replaced a glass screen on my father's Motorola Xoom with the 4G LTE upgrade. Total cost was $101 and about two hours of time. The Xoom was dropped on a tile floor and had multiple cracks in the glass, but was still functional. Just want all you fellow Xoom owners to know it can be done yourself if you have at least a bit of skills (and a hair dryer).

Today i put my storm on my desktop and looked at it for it had shut itself off then it tried loading itself up again it got past the black screne to a white one trying to load and then it just stops a message pops up saying something like jump: PFault something like that then it shuts off red light comes up
