Mar 10, 2011Been a Blackberry user since March last year, although I seem to have struck lucky with the particular blackberry I've got - my Storm2 9520 has been a catalogue of problems since the start.Anyway, last night I dropped the phone in my room, and the screen broke. Now, all that can be seen is a bizarre, inky pattern onscreen, obscuring everything bar the very bottom of the view. However, the glass screen itself is undamaged. Whenever I've looked on the internet for fixes, nearly all of them seem to deal with cracked glass screens, but my screen is undamaged - the display and what's showing up onscreen is the problem. Now, I'm not very tech-savvy, so here's my questions for you all:
1) what is the nature of this problem, i.e.. what is actually broken?
2) does my Vodafone warranty likely cover this? I've already sent the phone off once to be fixed, when the screen was not working properly and wouldn't respond properly to my button presses.
3) If no to 2), how easy would it be to affect a fix myself? Would it simply be a case of buying a new screen part and fitting it?

Apr 8, 2012I have an Iphone 3G that Im selling.
The only problem is that the screen is broken, it wont slide to unlock so I am unable to put in the passcode in so I can restore it and wipe it on Itunes. The lock button is very, very selective to. More than 99% of the time it doesnt work, actually. The only thing that seems to work is the home button.
As you know, because I am unable to put in the passcode my computer refuses to read it, so I cannt go in and manually delete everything myself.
Is there any other way to completely wipe it? Or am I screwed?

I don't want to shell out money to have it fixed (+-$100) because I'm almost due for a phone upgrade on my contract.I tried using the data cable but when I connect it to the phone I can't choose data transfer or ovi suite etc. since the screen input is broken.Is there any way to access the (internal) memory of the phone? I basically just need the photos and contacts.

Aug 2, 2010over the last few days my dare's touch screen has been acting up. first it was making random touches, i figured there is a pocket of air underneath the screen. now the screen is not responsive at all, it does not feel like the screen has been pushed at all it is like its completely solid underneath the touch screen. the display itself is fine, so i don't think the lcd is the issue.
there also seems to be a spot underneath the display on the left side (see picture) that has been expanding since the problem started. again i don't know if its air or moisture. any suggestions? i have seen both oem lcds and digitizers on ebay for around $15, which is more likely the cause of the problem?i can't draw too well with the touchpad on my laptop but the white thing is supposed to be an arrow pointing to what i'm talking about.

Motorola Xoom :: Cracked Glass Screen On 4G LTE?
Jun 7, 2012I just replaced a glass screen on my father's Motorola Xoom with the 4G LTE upgrade. Total cost was $101 and about two hours of time. The Xoom was dropped on a tile floor and had multiple cracks in the glass, but was still functional. Just want all you fellow Xoom owners to know it can be done yourself if you have at least a bit of skills (and a hair dryer).

Feb 12, 2010I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.
