I don't want all of my emails to go to the BlackBerry. I'd like to keep them comming to my desktop except for those rare occasions that I'm away from the desktop and want them to go to both the BB and the desktop. I know I can turn off my wireless connection, but doesn't that also turn my phone capabilities off also?

My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.
View 14 Replies View RelatedRecently, my phone kept turning itself off, and on. At first. it would turn its self off and then turn itself on and the battery would be flat. But if i had credit on it, it would use my credit up?Then after a few times it came up with uncaught exception error 4 or 5, the number would change.But the other day it switched off and 2 days later it has not switched back on, i have it on charge and has been on charge since it happened.

Yesterday added Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.4.17 to the phone, which previously had been provisioned by Verizon directly (connected to our exchange server). Email comes in just fine, but if I wish to either reply or forward the message, at the very top of the message, there is a note that states: "Send Using" and next to that is a button that shows "Desktop v" (the v is a down arrow). I am unable to change the Desktop button to my email account.
Saw the following post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Storm-BlackBerry-9500/Composing-Sending-Emails/m-p... and tried changing the default, which it allowed me to do, but to no avail.I am unable to respond to or forward any emails I have received on the hand-held unit.The option to send is available but when I send it comes back with an error message that it is unable to send from desktop.
I am 1 step away from throwing this phone against a wall, I really need to access my emails asap.. So hoping some1 can help..Basically it seems to intermittently go into this mode or has this bug or even screen damage? If i open my emails for example what ever I click on it highlights every email from the top to that specific email instead of just selecting 1 email. I cannot click on any individual email it just highlights multiple emails and its impossible to open any emails like this, even if I use the BB Function button then click on Open it jumps to the top "Help" and wont select "Open" or any were else on the menu. It happened a few times over the last week or 2 then randomly goes back to normal, was fine all weekend now it has just happened. I cant select some of the main icons on the home screen either, it's really starting to seem like the touch screen is damaged?? (Also I noticed on the facebook ap there is 1 icon it will now not select unless I tilt it to the side..)

I have the icon sayin that i have an unopened email but when i looked there was nothing that i had not read yet.. i did a battery pull (my first instinct) and then clicked marked all open in the options menu and it is still there there is no red * next to the icon just the envelope with the number 1. i also checked my vmail and deleted all vmails and it is still there please help!

If I type: The program sam is made in The software corrects it automatically to: The program Sam is made in Erasing the word and typing again will not work as it will be capitalized. What works is pausing after writing the word sam and then chosing from the popup that allows a choice of sam or Sam.This was not the case in 4.7 . If it is of any importance, I use multitap.

I noticed that now when I SMS, bbm, or even typing here it is giving like a predictive text list, I don't like this can it be turned off. I did a battery pull repeatedly and charged it over night, at first the red light would blink whenever i hit the power button and now its completely unresponsive, no red light at all. View 4 Replies View RelatedI get my ringtones from myxer.com and mytinyphone and sites such as that. When I set any of these ringtones i download as my sms alert or phone call ringtone, it just uses the default ringtone. So I checked to see if I saved my ringtone settings. Sure enough I did. So I tried turning my phone off and back on, and my ringtone settings just get reset back to default. When I had my 2 gig microsd in it was doing the same thing, but after a couple days it was using the ringtones I set for it. I just put an 8 gig microsd in and there's no hope.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSunday night I went to bed with a battery that was at least 80% charged. I had my alarm set to wake me up the next morning. I have no idea if that has anything to do with the battery possibly getting drained. As far as I know, I didn't have any apps running either. Anyway, Monday morning I woke up to a completely dead Storm. I tried plugging it in, but all I got was a red light for about 10 secs, the screen went black & then a white screen with a battery in the middle appeared with a red slash through the battery. I've tried everything from a battery pull to even taking a risk & dropping it on the floor & still nothing. I even went & bought a new battery but that's not the issue either. No matter what I do, I still get the same result. It's not the chargers cause I've tried both my wall charger & USB charger.

I had added my Yahoo email and I could read and delete email from my Blackberry and it would show as read or delete in my online account when I logged in, as well, if I read or deleted emails online they would show as read or deleted on the Storm 2. Now I have added the same account to the new phone and I have to read and delete emails online AND on my Blackberry because the 2 way synching no longer works. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have deleted the accounts, re-added them, wiped the whole device and started over multiple times and it still doesn't work. It never worked for hotmail but if someone knows how to get it to work for hotmail that information would be appreciated too.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwell i activated my storm about a week ago, switching over from my old curve (and quite an amazing switch). but i've noticed that i no longer recieve any emails pushed to my phone from any 3 of my accounts. i activated it over the phone through vzw's 1800 number, is there something more i need to do? honestly i didnt pay much attention to the automated voice, so am i missing something here?
