I had to re-install my blackberry's operating system when it crashed the other day and since the installation I have not been able to find either the tasks or the notes applications. Is there any way to download just these applications without re-installing the whole operating system again?
View 1 Repliesi had preoblems with my curve 8520 last night resulting me to reinstall the OS. I luckily used blackberry protect to back everything up. However all of the games have disapeared that came with the phone originaly and the notes and task apps have disappeared. I am not too worried about the games but I had a large amount of notes and tasks that I need to get back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWeird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

Anyway, I have entered about 4 recurring (monthly) tasks on my Storm 2 9550 AND I enable "view tasks in the Calendar options. Despite this, I only see the upcoming tasks for the next month. In other words, even though they should be showing on the 1st of each month, they are only showing for 1 month.

However since last week all the entries are now showing twice, one in my "google calendar" and the same entry again in my "device" calendar. I would like to only show one of them as the default, but I can't set a default evidently, so in order to show the entries once only I need to select the calendar manually each time.
How can I
a.) get rid of the duplicates - or alternatively
b.) show one calendar as the default

View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to access a file on my SDCard directly from a link in the Notes section of my Tasks application.
I am able to put a link there and access a web page, simply by typing a web address (e.g. http://www.sample.com), which converts to a link after I close and re-open the task. From an open browser window, I am also able to access a file that exists on my SDCard (e.g. file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/documents/sample.pdf will go fetch the file and then open my default PDF reader just as it ought to). But when I type "file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/...etc..." into the notes section, it remains as text, and does not get recognized as/ converted to a link to the file.
My device is an S5.In the Google Calendar app on my S5, I am unable to see my "tasks", which I am able to see on my desktop via chrome. I don't even have an option to select "tasks" anywhere in the app's settings.I really need to be able to access my tasks on my calendar.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am facing the issue regarding a lag with when trying to unlock with the slider button and with the unlock pattern, and when trying to answer calls sliding the button.But, for example, if I am doing something on the phone and somebody calls me, the slide answer button works without a problem, as well as the pattern definition in the security settings. So, since this only appends when the phone is in sleep mode, more than with the tasks themselves, I guess this lag might be related with the internal process to turn it back on. It seems that it takes something like 4 to 5 seconds to start to work properly. One other thing, after the restore of the OS, during the initial configuration, when I first connected the audio jack, inadvertently I have defined an incorrect task (opening a web page).
