View 9 RepliesIt is not possible to set a Task in the Calendar application. When pointing to Task a blank page open and is not possible to write anything. The events and the rest of the Calendar work OK.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBrand new to BB, switched from Palm T/X. I use both calendar and Tasks a lot. I need them both as I use them for different things. Anyway, I have entered about 4 recurring (monthly) tasks on my Storm 2 9550 AND I enable "view tasks in the Calendar options. Despite this, I only see the upcoming tasks for the next month. In other words, even though they should be showing on the 1st of each month, they are only showing for 1 month.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using the stock calendar on my Verizon S5. As you can see in the screen shot my tasks are a blue color. I would like to change it to red. How do I do that?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two calendars on my bb torch, from email and facebook. Today, out of the blue, 3 birthdays popped up on my home screen, as if it was today, but the dates are months away... and 2 of them are from the same person (but both came from facebook...). I clicked on them to see and hoping they would clear from my screen (just as messages do when you click to read them, when you close it, the notification of the message dissapears...) but they didn't... i tryed deleting one of the birthdays from my calender but it still showed the notification on my screen (it disappeared after about 20 min)! And the options of the event are all correct with the right dates, and the notification of the events are set up for the day before each birthday.... but it stil shows as if it was an event for today...I then tryed entering a task for next week... it also showed on my screen! Does every event you enter shows on the screen no matter what date? how do i get them to only show on the day they are set up to notify me? The alternative would be not to use the calendar at all... how do i alter the option of having the calendar sincronize with facebook? Or to have it not notify me about anything.... because i tryed selecting the email calendar only but the selection is only for visualization purpuses, it doesnt stop facebook sincronization.. and it doesnt give me an option of saving a task on the blackberry only.. i have to select the email or facebook for the reminder... cant i just use the regular calendar?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter days of searching I have been successf in syncing contacts, calendar, and tasks on my Samsung Android phone (Galaxy S5) with Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 Desktop using the following tools and procedure:
Install Samsung's Android "SmartSwitch" app on the phone
Install Samsung's Windows "SmartSwitch" application on the desktop
Configure the Windows "SmartSwitch" application to sync the desired outlook data. After the phone and desktop applications are installed and configured, connect the phone to the desktop using an appropriate USB cable. Windows plug and play may or may not correctly recognize the phone, but the SmartSwitch application should connect to the phone's client app and initiate the data transfer.
On the phone, email, contacts, and calendar applications will readily display and update the Outlook data from your desktop. Unfortunately, accessibility of Outlook's "To Do" task list is somewhat obscure due to Samsung's non-intuitive UI and menu organization. To access Outlook's "To Do" task list, using the phone's Calendar app:
Tap the timeframe (Day, Week, Month, Year) text in the upper left screen header. In the resulting drop-down, tap "Agenda" and the screen will display an agenda of dated Calendar events and "Agenda" in the upper left screen header.Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right screen header
In the resulting drop-down, tap "Filter by" and select "Tasks" in the resulting pop-up and the screen will now display undated tasks in the main window. Although I did not see this documented anywhere, apparently the programmers define Events as "date-associated" list items, and "Tasks" and undated list items. To return the screen display back to Events (dated list items), tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right screen header and select either "Events" or "All" in the resulting pop-up.
To return the screen display back to Calendar mode, Tap the word "Agenda" in the upper left screen header and select the desired calendar timeframe (Day, Week, Month, Year) from the resulting drop-down.
I noticed that after going through this process once, when the main display is in "Agenda" mode I have an "Undated" section at the top of the display. When "Undated" is tapped, the section expands to display all of your undated Outlook tasks.how to maintain the Outlook's hierarchy of folder names (the grouping of each task) in the imported data.
when I got the phone I could open the calendar in monthly view and when I clicked a day it would open in daily view, so I could see all events for that day.
What is currently happening is: when I open calendar it starts in task list view, and i can switch to monthly view, i can browse the calendars, but when I get to a day I want to view, I click it and it shows the event list view, from today, its so frustrating because I want to see details of the day I clicked, not today.
I have tried flipping all sorts of settings and the phone has been restarted since this.
I have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.

I have the most up-to-date firmware and mobileme setup and have refreshed everything and still no luck. The same seems to be happening with my emails. In order for me to have updated emails on the phone I need to open up the Mail application and only then do I get recent emails.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI am facing the issue regarding a lag with when trying to unlock with the slider button and with the unlock pattern, and when trying to answer calls sliding the button. But, for example, if I am doing something on the phone and somebody calls me, the slide answer button works without a problem, as well as the pattern definition in the security settings. So, since this only appends when the phone is in sleep mode, more than with the tasks themselves, I guess this lag might be related with the internal process to turn it back on. It seems that it takes something like 4 to 5 seconds to start to work properly. One other thing, after the restore of the OS, during the initial configuration, when I first connected the audio jack, inadvertently I have defined an incorrect task (opening a web page).

View 2 Replies View RelatedAlmost everything about my BB is perfect - for now BUT: I noticed that since a few weeks? ago my agenda view is acting weird. It's very slow when opening (-20sec delay). I read about a few other people having this issue but neither of them got the issue resolved. A few facts I noticed:
- when I enable "Show free time in Agenda" it gets a lot snappier, but it ruins the whole view for it fills the whole display.
- I have 4 calendars ("Default", Facebook, >>BIS-email-address<<, >>normal email-address<<)
- I keep the appointments forever, but there's only about 200 of them
- All other views work flawlessly
I hope you guys have a few suggestions as to how to resolve this - for me - huge problem.I can't tell when this started exactly but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the OS I'm running (.509), otherwise most of you guys would have this problem, too
edit:
I already tried to:
- delete all the calendar data and resynchronize completely (I actually reflashed the whole phone)
- delete all the recurring appointments (birthdays etc.)
