I have a BB 9530 Storm and have noticed that after upgrading to the V5.0.0.328 device software, I can't always view SMS text messages. The phone says I have messages, but I can't always view them.
This is an intermittent insect infestation. Sometime I can view the message and sometimes I can't. In order to view the SMS messages, I have to reboot the phone (take out the battery).
I have a nokia 5530 just bought early december 2009. It's been 2 days that can't receive and send text messages. So I thought it was just the service provider. But now all my inbox and outbox messages gone. The phone calls works fine. What is this? Need help what to do?

Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

I have done some reading and see that I need to downgrade to the previous bundle, but I do not have the options on my Bold 9900 as described by most of these support forums. Thus being: On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon. Click Device > Software Updates.If you recently updated your BlackBerry Device Software, to return to the previous software version, press the key > View Result > Downgrade.To downgrade to an earlier software version, scroll to a software version that the icon appears beside. I tried reinstalling it and can't find it either. I used desktop manager and was able to install an older version of blackberry messenger. And that one works perfectly. But whenever I try to upgrade the blackberry messenger to version 5 the icon disappears, yet it appears on the application list. I've tried upgrading from appworld, from the computer and from the upgrade icon that's on my home screen.

However, the App World was missing - and hence I could not update any app, or install a new one.I took a backup, and upgraded the device software, and then restored all the data.Now, the App World is there, but the Password Keeper is missing.

But the main problem is I've been missing some of Nokia Apps including Maps, Ovi store, quick office and also the pre-downloaded games that came with Symbian belle. I believe those are Need for Speed, Golf and I forgot the other one. How can I have those apps back? I've been doing factory reset every now and then but still programs are missing. And also those missing programs have widgets on my homescreen and an error which is "Error occurred. Widgets removed" will pop up on my screen.

If i try to find a word from english to vietnamese, the vietnamese equivalent word will have missing letters.For example: i search "hello" and the vietnamese shows: "xin chao: bi ___ u _ l ___ s ng ___ c nhien" (the underscores "_" are the missing letters.Anyone know how to fix this? View 1 Replies View RelatedBasically, last night I had a blinking update sign on my N900. I clicked to update as I normally do. The update was 100% successful (Before this, my last update was on 20th April 2010).
As the phone re-booted itself I checked my messages and found that all my new messages have vanished from my Conversations & recently added contacts between 20th April - 28th May (last night)!!! ;0(
I contacted Nokia and they said there is a way to retrieve these but when I took it to a Nokia Centre (in Carphone Warehouse) they said they will need to reboot the whole thing and everything will be deleted!
My Backup reads as follows:
Backup4 29/05/10 This is backup Carphone Warehouse tried (but took me back to settings as Backup 2)
Backup3 28/05/10 This is yesterday backup which lost my messages - 4.3MB

I have messages that i am sending and recieving but once i come to school, they all delete for some reason. Once they are all deleted, i send acouple of message but when i check my message log, they are deleted again when i check. I know its not that my memory is full. I just got the phone and i dont have many files so thats not the case. Ive seen one come in because i was staring at my phone and saw i recieved a message butt right away it got deleted along with the messages i had there. i dont no if everytime i roam for a bit they delete or what but it is very strange to me.
