Nov 18, 2010When I read emails on my Torch, the message gets marked read on my Gmail. However, when I read/delete the message on my Gmail, it does not get reflected on my Torch.

May 18, 2011All of the sudden, my bb is deleting emails right after I read them so they do not remain in my inbox. What can I do to change these settings so that emails only delete when I initiate it?

Jun 20, 2010The problem I am having is that when I receive an email, I will open it, read it if need be and either leave it as is or go back to the home screen. A few seconds later the email indicator shows back up as a new message, like if I havent read the message. If I retort back to opening it again, a few secs later, the indicator pops back up. So in order to get rid of the problem all together, I have to simply delete the message which takes care of the problem.
Is there a way I can get rid of this problem without always having to delete my messages? I have tried deleting my email account and adding it back, but the problem in fact remains. I have gone thru the options menu to email setting and changed some things in there just to see if that would fix it. But nope, the problem still remains. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and how this can finally go away? thanks in advance.

Apr 19, 2012I have 3 email accounts that I synchronise with the email app. I use this app to have all my accounts in the same place, including my gmail account. The issue is that when I send an email, a copy of it is stored in the imap sent email folder of the account. Gmail do not recommend this practice because it saves all sent email by itself, and there for, if the client also saves a copy of the email, there is two copies stored. That's my problem. When using email app, I find in my email account twice the mail sent in the conversation. (How) can I configure the email app not to store the sent messages in the imap server ? I am running ICS official realease from sony (PC Companion) since yesterday.

Nov 12, 2012I have an older model Curve 8330. Ever since I have had this device my gmail account has been linked to the phone (i.e. when I receive a new email in my gmail inbox it shows up as a new message on my phone's screen). For the past 6-months I have had my Sprint service on standby mode because I have been away (standby mode means you pay $8.99/month to keep the account and phone # active but the service is turned off). When I turned my normal service back on my gmail account was no longer linked to my phone. At this point the only way I can access my gmail account from my phone is via the gmail icon on the home screen. What I am trying to do is get my gmail account linked back to my phone so I receive incoming emails on my phone just like I would an incoming text message. I also want to be able to compose and send a new emails from my home screen. Right now the only way to do this is via the gmail icon which is not what I want. At the present time if I try to compose an email from the message screen on my phone I receive the following message "No message services configured. You will only be able to Save Draft." I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and turning it back on and that does nothing. I have also created a BlackBerry email address thinking I could setup my gmail account to forward to the BlackBerry address but that is no working either because new emails to the BlackBerry address are not showing up as new messages on the phone either. I had this setup the way I wanted for years and it worked fine but ever since I turned the service back on from standby I cannot get it to work.

Dec 30, 2015I don't know if I am missing a setting but many times I will have no email notification and there are new unread emails in the gmail app. I have exchange and gmail addresses setup and I think it happens with all of them or it is just the exchange emails.I went into all the gmail email settings and selected notification for every email and not just once, the exchange emails do not have this option. If I use email, I get notifications and I can use the Messages Widget and access to the Universal Inbox The manual appears to favor email over gmail, but its not entirely clear. The example the manual gives of sending an email is using the universal inbox.
I did set up the same account using gmail and email, and it seemed redundant. While the message app and the universal inbox worked, I would get double icon notifications. So, is there any clear choice here, on the gmail app versus the email app?

I reply to it, then go back to the PC and when I go to reply back to the phone, I see that it has a 1 in front of the email address and it doesn't go through to the phone.Is there some kind of setting that I could change so that it doesn't add that 1? Wht would it be adding the 1 in the first place? Maybe when the phone replies it has the 1 and Gmail is just copying that and adding it to the email address?
