I connected my Blackberry Curve 8900 to my laptop and I saw a new update for my Blackberry's OS. So I thought it would be great to have it and decided to start the installation. After 2 hours of installing the new OS (4.6.1) I noticed that the process hadn't advanced anything more than it was the last time I checked. I waited for an hour but it remained in the same part of the installation. I had to leave so I unplugged my cellphone after getting tired of this and noticed that my Blackberry stopped working. I got back home and tried to install the OS again, but the installation always gets stuck in the same part, which says : Loading module "net_rim_theme_precision_zen_480x360_b.cod"Does anybody know what can I do to get my Blackberry working again??? Or how can I do to make the installation complete
When i reboot my phone after I installed a few upgrades to some applications, as usual.I was asked to reboot. It restarted the phone, however does not completly reboot back to my home screen. Instead, it is stuck on my Network Provider's screen...(o2 Welcome Screen)Im guessing it is still finishing the installation of some upgrades, but it has been like this all night.
I did a baterry pull, and took out the SIM Card and memory card, however it still seems to be stuck on the Network Provider's home screen.I had this issue last time, and I was advised from another forum to turn off the phone from the Off button on the phone, pull the battery and memory card, reinsert the battery without the memory card. This worked perfectly last time. Now, while the welcome screen is showing, if i press the off button, it will "Verify Security Software" and turn off.
My software update has been installing for about 18 hours now, but it's just stuck on 'loading system software'. The warnings said to not unplug the device.do I wait it out? or is there some way to reinstall it?
I have a refurbished iPhone 4S. It has taken me thru all the set up (language, country, wifi, all okay.Â
On the Set Up iPhone screen, I selected "Restore from iTunes Backup". (My previous phone was a 3GS.) Next screen says "Connect to iTunes" so I connect the USB cable. Screen says "Connected to iTunes". iTunes appears to sync everything as expected. The phone's screen goes back to "Connect to iTunes" and sits there. I disconnected the cable. Nothing happens. I press the Home button, and a pop up is displayed with 4 buttons: Emergency Call, Start Again, Wi-Fi Settings, and Cancel.Â
I have tried power off, then power on, but this just starts back at the beginning of the set up (language, country, etc.).Â
This morning I tried opening up my SMS but it wouldn't open.. said something was wrong with the javascript or something. Everything else was opening up fine so I turned the phone off and took the battery out. Now it keeps loading up to about 3/4 of the way and it just freezes there! I've tried connecting it to the computer but I can't backup my files coz there's no way I can type the password in off the phone. I don't wanna have to reset the whole thing coz my files aren't backed up
Just got myself a BB 8900, however it dosent seem to have any device memory, i have looked under memory in the options menu and it doesnt say anything about device memory and when i connect it to my PC i cannot find the phone on my computer unless i have a memory card pluged in,
i was wondering if RIM will change this annoying reboot each time you install something... It's not like the iPhone you can download an apps just for fun, with BB you have to think that you don't need your phone during 5 minutes, that nobody is going to call you, and it's so annoying.I think i would install so much more application without the automatic reboot.
I installed the official release for OS 5... and On boot I keep getting the following error Uncaught Exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app(54) is not responding; process terminated {ok}
I press okay and the phone seems to run okay, but it bugs me, any ideas?
I want to know how to update the device software?! i had downloaded a new update as an exe file from the page below :but as always the operator support from the telecommunication company is having a bad service so they didnt give me the direction of the installation process of installing this update on my BB ( Torch 9800 / 6.0.0.546 )
After recently updating my W705 I cannot get the PC suite to recognize it. There seems to be a problem either with installing the drivers for the device or the device not being recognized because it "doesn't have a signature".?! It can be recognized and connects properly when in USB mode, which is strange, but it no longer has a 'phone mode' option, only a 'PC mode' option. The phone works fine by itself but I need to restore all my data to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software many times and checked my USB ports and cable. Any other ideas for me to try?
I had a lot of issues with lollipop 5.1.1 in my nexus. All Google apps connected to internet only via WiFi and it wouldn't connect through the mobile data connection.
And then there was the battery life problem. So I switched to PA 4.6 beta based on kitkat. I would now like to try Marshmallow.
My question is, will downloading the factory image and flashing it through clockwork mod work? Or should I revert back to 5.1.1 nandroid backup I made earlier and wait for OTA? I can see some post about a feature called verity and the complications it brings to rooted users in 6.0. Does this affect the process of flashing a stock factory image on a rooted phone?
Hello everyone, i have a serious problem with updating my OS. am currently using the 4.6v and i want to update it to v5.0 but every time i try to update it from desktop manager it seems that it cant find the files to update it, it just show the old version4.6 and i tried download the update from many websites and it still doesn't want to show it on the Desktop manager. I've had my Torch for 2-3 weeks now. I do not remember ever seeing the twitter app pre installed. I certainly don't remember deleting it. When I go to twitter to download the blackberry app it gives me a notice."Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones."
I don't use twitter that much, but would like it installed in case I do. It's really not my main concern, my main concern is that this is a bigger issue that I need to get resolved before I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't work like it's supposed to and won't be able to run other apps. Any ideas? I'm still running the original OS.
My Curve 8900 has started to lock on it's own. Sometimes it happens when I'm typing an email or text, sometimes it happens when I'm waiting for a browser page to upload. Initially I thought it might be a particular keystroke I was hitting but it has happened when I'm simply holding the device and not typing at all. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?
I noticed a few days ago that my berry has been ever so quiet recently.. it took me a while to realize that it's because absolutely NOTHING is being pushed to it. No email. No facebook. nothing.
My home broadband is down. My box is broke.I know I can use my BB as a modem to use the internet on my laptop. All very easy to set up via the pc software...My question is, would my network (02UKy know I'm doing so? I rang them to ask and they told me t'd cost me a bomb. But is that just because they had the chance to throw a charge at me?Would they know by the type or amount of data being used or by any other way?I have a BB Bolt on (unlimited BB usage) on my contract!
So I got my first BB 6 months ago! I loved it I babied it! I never had a phone do so much keep me so entertained. Keep me so up to date with everything> I left the G1 for the BB and it was still much better I could contact friends I could not any other way with the BBIM. Then one day she died in her track ball! So I had to replace her. That was 2 months into the love affair I was having with the BB.
So I got the replace meant and it was harder than anything to tell her by. I could tell my wife by with ease but not her. I loved her! She was my best friend my companion I never left her behind! So many bars so many experiences SO MUCH TROUBLE ELIMINATED. But she had to go, Like a horse with a broke leg she was worthless!
So on to my second one not so much babying as I still thought of her predecessor. She could never be HER! I however gave here a chance! and we grew a bond unlike no other.
we were inseparable every where together only a handful of hungover days did I forget to bring her with me to work. I m,ade up for that many a time!
She finally committed suicide of the track ball as well. Following her predecessor. So I had to replace her again but this time I had new knowledge of how to use her while I waited. I also had a callous numbness to her loss from my first marriage to a BB! So I was not hurt or lonely!
So as I awaited my replacement BB Curve 8900. I did not care as soon as it arrived she was done she was gone to the wayside! I hope you can be refurbished but I can never trust you ever!
My new mistress arrived I opened her fondled her and loaded her with all I had! Only to find out I had been burned. She did not work for data. or incoming calls. She was a teasing *****! So back to my previous mistress! With no track ball while I fight for a free upgrade due to have gone through 3 BB 8900 in 6 months WTF
my backlight timeout is set for 30 seconds. when i am watching a song or anything on media player, backlight doesn’t go off after 30 seconds, which is obviously normal.
however when i am watching a video on Internet using bolt browser, the screen goes black after 30 seconds. it should not!
I have a problem with my BB . Now when i try to turn on the phone the boot up screen/timer appears on screen but does not boot the OS. The timer continues spinning forever.
Why? What does the Pearl 3G have in specifications that the 8900 doesn't? Is the Curve 3G even going to see an update? Will people running v5.0**** be forgotten about?
Yesterday I did a back up on my BB and after finished when I sync the BB it said that I required a software update which I did, Release 5.0.0.1168.However now, my BB doesn't recognize any SIM that I try to use in my BB, I lost all the data which is okay as I have a bakup and I can get it back but I cannot get my SIM working, it says all the time, insert SIM card even thought it is already inserted
As of recently, whenever I'm typing an email on my computer - emails will be sent to my BB as I type... so I get about 10-30 messages per email I type! It's getting so annoying!
I wanted to update my device software (currently v4.6.1) to the v5.0. However when i try to run the update it tells me i must have a data plan. Do you think/know if it is possible to activate my data plan for, lets say, a month, install the new version, and then deactivate de data plan and keep using the v5.0 with no problems? (has anyone tried this?) (is it worth the update?) (is it worth the risk?)
My outlook email account is on my device. In other words, emails to my outlook emails address goes to both my outlook and my device.
Is it possible, if I respond to an outlook email on my blackberry for that sent response from my blackberry to be in my sent folder in my outlook. In other words, can I synchronize my device with outlook so that any responses sent on my device regarding outlook emails get reflected in my outlook. I believe you need to have BES - but I don't have that. My device is a personal one - not a corporate one without any connection to a corporate server. Is it possible without BES to do the synchronization?
I'm trying to update my device software. There is new software that's available for my BB 8900 but my wireless provider has the older version v4.6.1.250 I've tried to download from the BB website but fails to do so. Has anybody updated their curve 8900?
