Why? What does the Pearl 3G have in specifications that the 8900 doesn't? Is the Curve 3G even going to see an update? Will people running v5.0**** be forgotten about?

I have a prorotype Pearl 9105 with OS 5.0.0.925. The phone doesn't read any memory card, I was thinking, is it a problem with the firmware?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been looking around and I'm not really finding too much information.First of all, I need to know the dB Gain of the internal 1900MHz antenna, which is just a piece of aluminum curved around a few times. Second of all, I need to know what the external antenna plug is called. It kind of looks like MMCX, or MCX, or maybe MC-Card... Although I can not be sure unless I order these connectors to test out.
I know I can get the Wilson external antenna adapter but I think it is too big for what I need. I'd like to get something I can mount on the board permanently and just add an external 3-7 dB Gain omni-directional antenna for travel usage, or connect a 15+ dB Gain outdoor directional antenna when being used inside. Pictures below are 1, antenna connectors, and 2, screw on SMA 3-7 dB Gain antenna for use while traveling. Added a 2 pics of the jack on the Mogul for the external antenna, first is not a good quality pic though.

I really love my C905a, and I was even thinking about buying a backup. I take a Lot of pictures, and having a cell camera of this quality is a must for me now, and it must also have xenon flash, and also work on AT&T 3G in USA. Do you guys know of any comparable phones in the pipeline with the camera specs of the C905 that will work on AT&T? I would even consider the Satio, but I hear it won't work on AT&T in USA. Is there anything else coming? or should I hurry up and buy a backup C905a before they are really hard to find?

Hello everyone, i have a serious problem with updating my OS. am currently using the 4.6v and i want to update it to v5.0 but every time i try to update it from desktop manager it seems that it cant find the files to update it, it just show the old version4.6 and i tried download the update from many websites and it still doesn't want to show it on the Desktop manager. And when i tried the application loader it says the i have the latest software and its still v4.6

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recieved a warranty replacement a few weeks ago and have been unable to get it to connect to my pc via the usb or the bluetooth. Support at ATT couldn't figure out the problem so they sent me a new device. The second device has the same problem and I have even installed the BB Software on a second pc and it also would not recognize the device.
If you look at the device in device manager in windows it says there is a problem with the driver installed for the device. It looks like the BB desktop software didn't install the correct driver. I have de-installed the software and re-installed it and no change.
I want to connect to my Wi-fi network, but the phone doesn't have the option to set it up. Like the button for it does not exist.If I go to the browser, it say I need to connect to a wi-fi network first.And when I say the setup wizard isn't there, I mean it is not on the phone period.I dunno if it ever had it.One day out of the blue a bunch of things went missing.Namely ever ringtone on the phone was deleted.The names are still there, the files are just missing.No idea how it happened.All I know is I didn't do anything to cause it to happen.The main thing I want to do is update the OS and get some ringtones on there.I don't have a USB cable for it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I got my first BB 6 months ago! I loved it I babied it! I never had a phone do so much keep me so entertained. Keep me so up to date with everything> I left the G1 for the BB and it was still much better I could contact friends I could not any other way with the BBIM. Then one day she died in her track ball! So I had to replace her. That was 2 months into the love affair I was having with the BB.
So I got the replace meant and it was harder than anything to tell her by. I could tell my wife by with ease but not her. I loved her! She was my best friend my companion I never left her behind! So many bars so many experiences SO MUCH TROUBLE ELIMINATED. But she had to go, Like a horse with a broke leg she was worthless!
So on to my second one not so much babying as I still thought of her predecessor. She could never be HER! I however gave here a chance! and we grew a bond unlike no other.
we were inseparable every where together only a handful of hungover days did I forget to bring her with me to work. I m,ade up for that many a time!
She finally committed suicide of the track ball as well. Following her predecessor. So I had to replace her again but this time I had new knowledge of how to use her while I waited. I also had a callous numbness to her loss from my first marriage to a BB! So I was not hurt or lonely!
So as I awaited my replacement BB Curve 8900. I did not care as soon as it arrived she was done she was gone to the wayside! I hope you can be refurbished but I can never trust you ever!
My new mistress arrived I opened her fondled her and loaded her with all I had! Only to find out I had been burned. She did not work for data. or incoming calls. She was a teasing *****! So back to my previous mistress! With no track ball while I fight for a free upgrade due to have gone through 3 BB 8900 in 6 months WTF
my backlight timeout is set for 30 seconds. when i am watching a song or anything on media player, backlight doesnt go off after 30 seconds, which is obviously normal.
however when i am watching a video on Internet using bolt browser, the screen goes black after 30 seconds. it should not!
I have a problem with my BB . Now when i try to turn on the phone the boot up screen/timer appears on screen but does not boot the OS. The timer continues spinning forever.

It does not update minute by minute as a 'normal' timepiece would. If I go into the settings for alarm or date/time then exit the clock is updated. but it will not update again until I do this again.This morning when I woke up for work it was showing 10.50pm last night.

View 5 Replies View Relatedemail syncs fine, but calendar, contacts notes etc (in fact everything else) doesnt sync. as the exchange box is hosted, there is no way of putting BES on it. every other smart phone i have ever hooked up to this hosted exchange box works fine seems to be just the blackberry.
he has an exchange enabled outlook 2007 client on his PC looking at the same account. how can i get things to sync over the air (i dont want him to have to plug it in to the pc as this defeats the entire object of having an exchange solution).
My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi-fi fine, but I have just replaced my home router and it doesn't recognize it when I scan for networks, All other wireless devices in the house (TV, laptop, I-Pad, son's phone) connect no problem.

So I thought it would be great to have it and decided to start the installation. After 2 hours of installing the new OS (4.6.1) I noticed that the process hadn't advanced anything more than it was the last time I checked. I waited for an hour but it remained in the same part of the installation. I had to leave so I unplugged my cellphone after getting tired of this and noticed that my Blackberry stopped working. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.
