BB Pearl :: Phone Will Not Charge?
Nov 1, 2012I have a blackberry pearl 8130. My trackball was missing for some reason when I tried to use it some months ago. I do not have service with T-Mobile and the phone will not charge. I had another battery for it but I cannot find it. I used a friend's battery and even updated the software. Nothing works. There is just a battery with a red slash.

Jul 3, 2010After dipping my phone in water for about 10 seconds at a depth of 15 cm, the touch screen went crazy. Brightness was at its maximun ignoring the ambient light sensor. 20 minutes later the phone was off. I thought was the battery, but before this, the battery was at 60 %. I let it in rise for two days, but it doesn't start or charge the battery. Is dead. Two times, when I connect the usb charger a red led light turns on, but turns off after a few seconds.

Oct 29, 2011I want to connect to my Wi-fi network, but the phone doesn't have the option to set it up. Like the button for it does not exist.If I go to the browser, it say I need to connect to a wi-fi network first.And when I say the setup wizard isn't there, I mean it is not on the phone period.I dunno if it ever had it.One day out of the blue a bunch of things went missing.Namely ever ringtone on the phone was deleted.The names are still there, the files are just missing.No idea how it happened.All I know is I didn't do anything to cause it to happen.The main thing I want to do is update the OS and get some ringtones on there.I don't have a USB cable for it.

Once again, I tried several different outlets, my dad's charger, and my USB cable.I've let it sit on the charger for a while, and nothing has happened. I am completely clueless. Since it's not the battery, it's the phone.Did I accidentally post this in the wrong subforum? I noticed I'm in the "Smartphones" section and I got my phone in December of 2009.

Does not respond to a hard reset, and not charging. I tried to charge it for 2 consecutive days. He did not turn on. When I tried to connect it to a PC, the red LED lights up. Do not run any mode fastboot nor flashmod. The LED is still illuminated. Although the phone is not connected to anything.

Aug 9, 2011I recieved a warranty replacement a few weeks ago and have been unable to get it to connect to my pc via the usb or the bluetooth. Support at ATT couldn't figure out the problem so they sent me a new device. The second device has the same problem and I have even installed the BB Software on a second pc and it also would not recognize the device.
If you look at the device in device manager in windows it says there is a problem with the driver installed for the device. It looks like the BB desktop software didn't install the correct driver. I have de-installed the software and re-installed it and no change.

It does not update minute by minute as a 'normal' timepiece would. I unplugged the charger from the phone and checked the battery - it was at 20%. Normally, this phone would have charged 100% in an hour.
I plugged the charger back in - the phone charged properly.
