I have a blackberry pearl 8130. My trackball was missing for some reason when I tried to use it some months ago. I do not have service with T-Mobile and the phone will not charge. I had another battery for it but I cannot find it. I used a friend's battery and even updated the software. Nothing works. There is just a battery with a red slash.

I want to copy all the data, address book, etc. and setup from the old 8100 to the new one. I backed up the old 8100 using Blackberry DM but when I restored to the new 8100 nothing was changed.

Like the button for it does not exist.If I go to the browser, it say I need to connect to a wi-fi network first.And when I say the setup wizard isn't there, I mean it is not on the phone period.I dunno if it ever had it.One day out of the blue a bunch of things went missing.Namely ever ringtone on the phone was deleted.The names are still there, the files are just missing.No idea how it happened.All I know is I didn't do anything to cause it to happen.The main thing I want to do is update the OS and get some ringtones on there.I don't have a USB cable for it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

I don't want to delete the OS and have to reinstall and all that, I just simply want to remove my own personal information that I've put into it.From everything I've read, I simply go to Options > Security Settings > General Settings > Wipe Handheld. On my 8330 I can find this perfectly but on my 8230 it's nowhere to be found? That option is just not there and I can't find it anywhere else either. I know the phone had been restored to factory settings when I received it so there's gotta be a way to do this. Any ideas anyone? Running v4.6.1.234 ETA: Okay, I just went back into General Settings and scrolled down to a few random things listed under Services.I see that when I click those, I'm given the "Wipe Handheld" option. I'll give that a try!

The phone will not allow me to disable the password function. Beside where it says Password: there is a red lock symbol and the word Enabled. I dropped my phone and it cracker and only the speakerphone was working. I opened it up and a few things became disconnected including the ear speaker and camera so I reconnected them and they worked but then speaker stopped working after I had taken it apart. Did I somehow manage to disconnect that or ruin the connection? Any tips would be appreciated I think that the speaker is located on the plastic housing that the keypad is attacked to but im not sure.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI own a blackberry pearl 8130 and recently saw a new icon appear at the top right hand side of my screen. When placing calls, the icon appears. It looks like a rectangle with a line of plus signs going through it diagonally from top left to lower right. That breaks the rectangle up into 2 triangles. One of them is dark blue and the other is black. Has anyone seen this before?The only thing that I have noticed since the icon began to appear is that my alarm no longer works. The volume works for everything else and I can set my alarm. It just never makes a sound when it's supposed to go off. I've already checked to make sure that I've marked AM or PM and I checked to see if it is on tone, so that's not the problem.
