View 1 RepliesI got a new Blackberry Curve last night - and this morning for the first time I plugged it in to the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. I was prompted to download a new OS and it's taken hours! From what I'm reading on the boards, I think it's probably stuck. I've been stuck on Uploading RAM image for at 3 hours.
My BB has a black screen and won't turn on - the computer screen says don't disconnect. Before I follow what I THINK are the steps to fix it
Unplug the phoneKill the BlackBerry Desktop Manager app (I'm running it on Windows)Wipe the BB using the directions from this page

View 1 Replies View RelatedI ran in kind of problem...I have iPhone 3gs, that needs blackra1n every time i turn it on. Problem began few days ago, when it got stuck, so i had to reset it, and when i tryed to blackra1n it, it got stuck...I tryed few more times and than it worked.
That happened also next day, and i had to do blackra1n like 20 times. Now i this does not work anymore and it gets stuck everytime.Problem is because i have on cydia only files for 3.1.3 so i cannot restore it to 3.1.2 as i normaly did.I have sbsettings and SSH, but i think i turned it off :/I have 05.11.7 modem firmware and 6.4 bootloader.
I updated 3 weeks ago my E72's firmware, after i done this my phone became a "little" slow.
If I use my video camera the image gets to be stuck every 5 seconds, when I watch the video on my pc or even on the E72, the sound is good but the images are most of the time mixed up or stuck...
also: when i put up a connection like making a call or browsing on the internet, the time it takes to connect to the server is ALOT longer...the camera and the connection worked a bit better before the firmware update...(BTW this is my first bad xp with Nokia, normally a business phone is close to bug free. This is close to no-wurth-selling...)
This has happened more than once. I need to power phone off to fix it. Running Lollipop.Watch a YouTube Video, finish it, close YouTube, even end task and verify it isn't running. When phone locks the preview image is visible for the video on the lock screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a new blackberry pearl and connected it for the first time to the laptop, it said there were upgrades available so I clicked yes and now I am very sorry. 3 hours have passed and it is stuck on "Back up third party applications". What can I do? I don't want to disconnect the phone in case it damages it. The phone itself is actually working, making and receiving calls and all the apps and info are still ok, just terrified to disconnect incase it dies.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

View 10 Replies View RelatedCan anyone tell me if the Blackberry Desktop 6.0 properly supports synchronization between Outlook 2010 32-bit and a Pearl 8100 with device software v4.5.0.102 (Platform 2.7.0.85)?I first did a one-way sync from Outlook to my device (replacing all device data). That worked fine. However, using Calendar as an example, the next sync tried to delete all calendar entries from some point in 2009 and prior. It also identified changes to entries that were not changed at all!Sync'ing Task, Memos and Contacts yielded the same problem where items were identified as being changed when they were not. When trying different sequences of synchronization including doing a reset on my Pearl before resync'ing, I get different and inconsistent results. The Blackberry site says I have the latest version of device software, so...
View 9 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
I am stuck on boot screen.. I went into download mode but I keep getting stuck on Setup Connection when I try to flash the stock rom.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust noticed on my N79 that if I have a contact image assigned, and I delete the original image, the image assigned to the contact changes to a small thumbnail version of the original image, similar to that seen on the old N95 when using contact images. In other words, the system appears to still be storing the contact as a tiny S60 3rd FP1-style image, and the full-screen contact images are being read off the memory card at call time. Obviously this isn't ideal. I'll be throwing my contact images into a special folder so I don't delete them again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI built a "frankenstein" iphone out of the parts of a number of broken ones and today was the first-run power up. Happily, most things worked. Then, I tried to pull it apart to fix the minor issues and that's when things went bad. When I lifted the digitizer with a suction cup, I had forgotten that it was not totally adhered to the LCD frame. It had a little bit of adhesive at the bottom and a little at the top, but it separated when I pulled. I put an adhesive strip on the bottom part and let it connect the two so that I could lift the assembly out. I'm guessing in the process of this I strained the ribbon cables, but read on, because its not that simple.
I adhered the pieces and reconnected everything. When I put it back together, the screen didn't light up when I hit the power button. The phone is still on, it still makes audible alerts etc but no screen image. I tried connecting another screen (not connected to rails, digitizer etc) and hitting power and still nothing.
Keep in mind all of these parts should be working, but this phone is built from the ground up. Every single piece was installed into a new frame separately, but it did work when I first put it all together.
Just tried my screen on a different iphone. Works fine. So its the phone, I guess. What could cause it to stop outputting an image just like that?
I was downloading an image from bbm and accidently cancelled it. I can't seem to start the download again. Is there a way I can still retrieve the image?
