Mar 5, 2010GPS is working fine: Applications/Location/GPSdata/position. It finds lat/long within a couple of seconds outdoors. Strong satellites. Great. Also: Applications/Camera/settings/show GPS Info/ON. Seems like it should do the trick for geotagging. Yet with these settings, despite my N97 having strong satelites and GPS fix, I still get no geotagging data on my outdoor pictures. The field remains always blank, even whilst the GPS has a fix.

Feb 26, 2010Just have purchased E72. Having already N95 8GB and E71. That time I found Location Tagger on beta labs and they still work fine on both. I was expecting the option of geo tagging in this new advance device as most of the other brands have but thats missing. Surprisingly when I checked on beta labs or ovi store I found Location Tagger application graduated from beta labs and gone. Any help please how I can Tag my location on photos? Any link I can get location Tagger application or substitute.

Nokia :: N86 - Camera Geotagging / Satellite Icon Remains On
Apr 13, 2010Whenever I snap a picture or record a video and exit the camera application, the satellite icon remains on. I have to switch the mobile on/off for it to disappear. What's weird in that is, when i use the front camera, it appears again. Do you think the GPS remains on even when exiting the camera?

Nokia N97 :: Camera Pics / Videos Not Captured Folder Since Upgrade To 2.1?
Feb 4, 2010As the title says all my images and videos are now no longer within the captured folder when you go into photo's, I have tried deleting all of the _PAlbTN folders, also factory reset the device, still nothing there, any ideas on what I can do to get these back in the captured folder?Otherwise it seems a pointless feature if every firmware update you lose all the data captured over the months since the last update, I have also tried copying all in the camera album over to the PC and put back onto the phone mass memory.It's doing my head in now, I have trawled the forums to find information but nothing. I have a lot of other items on my mass memory which I have accumilated from over the years and transferred to each new phone I get, got something in the region of 2500 images and videos, on the mass memory stored in the traditional way, where E is the mass memory etc:

Instead of the new way i.e.
E:ImagesCamera200910200910A0
Do the files (images and videos) get assigned new tags to allow it to identify them as being taken on the device, my viewby month folder is also not working.

Sep 3, 2010I have an X10 Mini Pro that I want to take on holiday with me for the geotagging function, however, I'm not exactly sure how to use it. Is there some way of knowing if, when I take a photo, it'll actually geotag? Sometimes when I take pictures, I see the icon when I open the camera that says geotagging is on, but then when I look at the photo (either on my computer, or on an app called 'Been There'), it has no tags, which I assume is because the GPS/wifi hadn't located me yet. Also, does the GPS use any mobile data? My plan only has data usage for my country, so I don't want to accidentally pay too much!

I want to take some photos then delete it quickly but in that process I want it uploaded automatically so I can view it later. I know about onedrive but with that if you delete your photos that you uploaded it still shows in my gallery under one drive.
Ive tried cloudsix, mydrive etc but all of them needs the phone to be connected to a charger before it can upload
The other thing is also with the 1020 having dual capture is there anyway for me to keep the bigger 41mp photo even after I deleted the photo I took?

Mar 20, 2011I bought a new X10 mini Pro 2 days back and tried taking some pictures on the phone. The camera does not not get activated when I press teh Key avalable at the side of the phone. When i activate the camera from the application menu, I could focus and also use the flash to take picture. A green dot appears at the top left corner of the screen and blinks for some time indicating it is ready to shoot. I also get a beep sound as it should normally happen when the shot is successful. But, the pictures are not saved on my phone. I tried both inserting a sim card and without it.

Feb 26, 2010Just noticed on my N79 that if I have a contact image assigned, and I delete the original image, the image assigned to the contact changes to a small thumbnail version of the original image, similar to that seen on the old N95 when using contact images. In other words, the system appears to still be storing the contact as a tiny S60 3rd FP1-style image, and the full-screen contact images are being read off the memory card at call time. Obviously this isn't ideal. I'll be throwing my contact images into a special folder so I don't delete them again.

But now when I am using the build in browser to surf to the mobile Facebook website i have broken image links.I don't see the facebook logo, the mobile phone icons But, i can see the people's pictures!When i completely reset my phone it all works again.But a day or two later I have the same problem. And only the Facebook page has this problem, no other website.I don't have the problem when using Opera as a browser, but I want to use the build-in one.The only software I have installed on my phone is Skype, Ovi shop, and Nokia E-mail... May 14, 2010I just discovered that since the last 2 weeks photos I take no longer appear in any of the media image galleries - to find a photo I need to go into the Office folder and use the file manager. It seems that the problem may have coincided with me removing the memory card - hopefully not coinciding with firmware update! Is there a way to reset the image gallery to show all captured images?

Aug 25, 2010I set a photo as my background on my X6, but the image re-sizes itself so its bigger in the home screen and not all of the image appears on the screen, alot is cut off.
I cant quite figure out how to adjust the image so that it stays the same size when its used as my back ground, or how to re-adjust the image back! Its annoying because it means my pictures are limited as to what can be on my background, im having to chose really far away shots becaus they appear close up when used as a background!

1) When I am purchased mobile it continuously hanged. After that I went it to nokia customer care gallery. They update my firmware & replace my MMC card. Then problem was reduced but now it hang when I use any application more than 1hrs. Like music player.
2) There is another problem it was related to image format. When I captured any image the process was too slow. 1st it capture in .nrw format after some time i.e. min. 30sec. It will convert into Jpg format (Standard).
3) When I connect phone to PC, Getting any data via Bluetooth & every re-insert time of mmc card one log file was created (BGSA_UPLOAD)

Apr 5, 2010Using the MP3Tag program on my PC, I added an album cover (from my own jpeg image) then transferred it to the N900. Worked fine. Later I wanted to change the cover so deleted the original via the the MP3Tag program and transferred to the N900, but the original image was still used by the N900 media player. I even deleted the N900 folder containing this album before re-transferring it from the PC. I also tried searching the N900 while attached to the PC in Mass Storage mode and found nothing, and I searched ALL folders, files and file types, hidden and not, on the entire device, and it was still not to be found (yes, including the localmediaart folder).So even though I deleted the original image in the MP3Tag program's metadata files and on the N900 itself, that first cover art image still remains somewhere. I do know there are some files not visible/searchable on the N900 and that must be where this image remains. I did solve the problem in a undesirable way by re-naming the album in MP3Tag, then the new art appeared on the N900.Any ideas on how to truly delete a file on the N900?
