Nokia :: Unable To Assign Image To Contact Says Not Enough
Jul 31, 2010
I am Disappointed with my Meamo contact app, I want to assign an image to my contact file but it says not enough memory, it didn't specify why.I didn't have any problems with S60 third edition or other Symbian devices, the size of the photograph did not matter. It was a more difficult process to assign an image to a contact file with my N900, with my other S60 third & fifth edtion phone, only had to choose a picture from image & use image to assign to contact, has anyone experienced this problem? Where to find other "Contact apps" that is more user friendly?
I just went through with the newest update (system version 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US) and I am now unable to assign ringtones for contacts, and can't change my regular/universal phone ringtones to anything other than the defaults. Anybody else having these problems, or know how to get around them?
is it possible to assign for each contact which SIM card to use when making call? All I could find was just either set the default SIM for calls or ask every time which card to use. I have SIM where I can make free calls to particular numbers and second SIM for all other calls/sms/data and I don't want to select every time which SIM to use when making a call.
Just noticed on my N79 that if I have a contact image assigned, and I delete the original image, the image assigned to the contact changes to a small thumbnail version of the original image, similar to that seen on the old N95 when using contact images. In other words, the system appears to still be storing the contact as a tiny S60 3rd FP1-style image, and the full-screen contact images are being read off the memory card at call time. Obviously this isn't ideal. I'll be throwing my contact images into a special folder so I don't delete them again.
Is there a way for a blind person to assign ringtones to contacts usin the Cliq2. I am blind and working with an accessibility app called mobile accessibility. I can get to contacts through the applications list but can't seem to get it to work from there. I need to know how to select the contact and go from there. I can't find additional info thusly I can't do the rest.
If I assign a picture to a contact using the gallery i.e. pictures that I took and store on my SD card. Then I say delete the picture(s from the SD card do I lose the picture assigned to the contact? Or is the picture assigned to a contact 'special' and also resized and kept somewhere else?
Is it possible to assign a unique ring tone to each contact? I understand the process of bringing in ring tones to the SD card, so having enough ring tones is not a problem.
I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.
How do i assign a tone to a different tone to an individual contact email on S 6 Edge. I am able to do for all favourites. But if I need to set an alarm kind of tone for say my Boss only then how do i do. I could do it on My blackberry. In the Samsung S6 Edge i am able to do for Phone and Message for a specific contact but not mail.
just getting to grips with my new android phone ( dragging myself into the 21st century as my daughter informs me ) so using the functions is still new to me. However one thing I have found is that, unlike my old Samsung Monte, I can't assign individual test alert tones on a contact basis so that all have the same alert. Looking through forums it seems the way to go is to use a separate app that will do that and seems that there are three mainly recommended - chomp sms, handcent sms and Go SMS Pro. So I have two questions, firstly does anyone have recommendations as to which may be the better to go for of the three or have a better sugegstions. Secondly anything I need to do when installing an app on an android phone, probably a dumb quetion to some but I'd like to have use of my phone for more than a week before managing to blow it up
I have stored contacts on Exchange but I tested also Google and Samsung account and there is the same issue. When I call somebody or somebody calls me I see only small contact picture in the circle. On S5 I had the image on half screen. I have Galaxy S6, my friend has Edge and there id the picture bigger.
I normally use a rectangle cropped image for my contacts but since I'm using.Google Contacts now to backup and sync my phonebook, I notice that the contact images are cropped to a square. Now this may have been fine but it's positioning the square image on the top left in a very unpleasant manner. People without contact images have the default picture centered and positioned nicely.
I have iPhone 4s and I want to display full screen contact image when a contact calls. I have taken a picture from iPhone camera and assigned to the contact (both by assigning the photo to the contact from the options on the picture and by editing the contact and assigning the photo) and it still continues to show the small thumbnail.
I copied from my old phone to the PC, and then to my X8, some pictures from my contacts. They are under the DCIM folder in the SD card. When I edit a contact and choose to add a picture, I can't add those pictures. The following things happen:
If I choose to use the internal Album application to browse and select the pictures, it shows all the photos I took with the phone's camera, plus several others that I don't know where they came from. It doesn't show the pictures I just copied from the PC to the SD card. But the ones that are visible can be selected and used.If I choose to use a file browser (such as OI File Manager) to browse and select the pictures, I can browse to the SD card, under folder DCIM, and see all the pictures, but that I took with the phone and the ones I copied over from the PC. But once I select a picture it just does't go to the contact. The contact editor still show's the default picture of a silhouette, and won't use the picture I selected. So,
how can I add pictures that I moved from my PC to the SD card as contact pictures?Where are the pictures stored in internal memory? Where are all those fancy silhouettes kept?
After updating my Neo V to 4.1.B.0.431, contact image in the call screen is very unclear and it's displaying as mixture of pixles. I dint face this on 2.3.4
I had to download an update from Go Media but this wasrelated to video. To solve it do I need to buy a new SD card or is there something else I can do,
After upgrading to 5.1.1 I am unable to assign my mp3s as custom music to contacts. I can assign default ring tones but even if my mp3 seems correctly associated to a contact, when I receive a call the default ringtone plays.
I only received my Galaxy S2 today so am very new to this, I want to have my own ringtone instead of the ones already set up on phone, on previous phones I've just been able to assign any of my music to ring tone but I cannot seem to that with this
This is probably a n00b question, but is there any way to assign a specific ringtone to a specific contact? I just switched from an LG Lotus, where I was able to give each contact a specific ringtone. I'd love to be able to do that with my Style..
On the N8 user guide page 37 & 38, it is written that we can call/search for a contact by entering the contact first or second name characters by selecting each number key once for each letter but I am unable to do that on my N8.
There isn't any soft key to activate/deactive the "Contact search" under option which is also written on the user guide.
