After updating my Neo V to 4.1.B.0.431, contact image in the call screen is very unclear and it's displaying as mixture of pixles. I dint face this on 2.3.4

does OS7 have an option for displaying a screen full of contact photos that you can select to dial the person? I've had this on other smartphones but can't see how to do it on my OS7 torch.It's like speed dial with pictures.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI normally use a rectangle cropped image for my contacts but since I'm using.Google Contacts now to backup and sync my phonebook, I notice that the contact images are cropped to a square. Now this may have been fine but it's positioning the square image on the top left in a very unpleasant manner. People without contact images have the default picture centered and positioned nicely.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI copied from my old phone to the PC, and then to my X8, some pictures from my contacts. They are under the DCIM folder in the SD card.When I edit a contact and choose to add a picture, I can't add those pictures. The following things happen:
If I choose to use the internal Album application to browse and select the pictures, it shows all the photos I took with the phone's camera, plus several others that I don't know where they came from. It doesn't show the pictures I just copied from the PC to the SD card. But the ones that are visible can be selected and used.If I choose to use a file browser (such as OI File Manager) to browse and select the pictures, I can browse to the SD card, under folder DCIM, and see all the pictures, but that I took with the phone and the ones I copied over from the PC. But once I select a picture it just does't go to the contact. The contact editor still show's the default picture of a silhouette, and won't use the picture I selected. So,
how can I add pictures that I moved from my PC to the SD card as contact pictures?Where are the pictures stored in internal memory? Where are all those fancy silhouettes kept?
Recently I am facing this problem in my Xperia X10i. The recent caller photo gets recorded, and when the next call comes, I get the photo of last caller, though the caller number is the current one.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThis is very frustrating! My phone has recently started ringing when I'm receiving incoming call but the screen remains idle and doesn't display who's calling. It also doesn't display the answer/ignore options and will continue to ring until I switch the phone off! I have also been receiving 'Unknown' calls from known numbers too.
I have looked through your forums and have read the Settings/Personalisation/Manage Notifications fix. I am in the UK however and my settings don't appear to have these options at all. I am a carer for my 2 year old daughter and depend on my phone for doctor/hospital appointments, physio, emergencies etc. I have a few months left on the contract and if I am very tempted to settle contract early as the phone is no use to me while it is doing this.
I just got the Z3 and am having an issue with my contacts. When I go to select a contact to call it displays the fax number as default to call. Is there a away to change that? It does it for all contacts that have a fax number, the Phone icon shows up beside the fax number.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when i scroll to the top of the messages between me and my daughter, the call button is not there. EMail face time and Contact are there, but no call. When I press contact I get her contact and her number is right there, face time and email work as well; but I cannot call her from the message screen.
Additionally when I sent her a text and she responds my text to her is not shown and hers shows us as a new sequence of messages.
Post 5.1.1 Android update on my Xperia Z3, whenever my phone is restarted, the contacts and call logs are not showing up. It takes a lot of time to show the contacts. And the device restarts on its own several times and it gets heated up alot. Is this a software bug?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust noticed on my N79 that if I have a contact image assigned, and I delete the original image, the image assigned to the contact changes to a small thumbnail version of the original image, similar to that seen on the old N95 when using contact images. In other words, the system appears to still be storing the contact as a tiny S60 3rd FP1-style image, and the full-screen contact images are being read off the memory card at call time. Obviously this isn't ideal. I'll be throwing my contact images into a special folder so I don't delete them again.

I've been using using my E51 for about 2 years, and it suddenly stopped displaying the contact names for SMS messages.There are no duplicates in the contact list.The thing is, it's started when I synced my phone with Ovi online.Could anybody find a solution for this ?It's quite annoying not having the names of the contacts

Every time I get a new SMS from someone on my contact list, and try to view their SMS it only shows the number of the person and not the name on the SMS list. When I search for the person on my list, and sms him/her it redirects to the conversation, but with the updated name instead of the number. However as soon as I get a new SMS it only shows the number once again.

I recently switched out my Curve 9350 under warranty, since the old one was overheating and draining the battery. The first one I had didn't have this issue, from the get-go it showed contact names, pictures, and broke the messages down into days, but I could scroll and view all of them. My new one has only shown my text messages in the way I described above.
My iphone 4 no longer has the edit facility when displaying contact details, thus preventing any updates. Phone has latest software and has never been jailbroken.

Many names in the address book not showing up. Hence, when I get a call or make one, the name doesn't come up with the number. After the call, the number with the name is visible in call log as outgoing or incoming or missed. In the database details it shows my address book having 238 numbers (these are the numbers currently visible). So how is it that the names are visible in the log and not in the address book and also not visible during a call.
