View 3 RepliesEvery time I open my phone with my password, it will lock itself within 10 seconds unless I keep "active" on whatever program I'm in. I've had the phone about 3 months. It didn't do this until I called AT&T last week and did some things that were suggested to me to save data. I didn't do anything with the display settings--in fact, I've gone back in to be sure the sleep setting is 10 minutes (unless I otherwise lock it myself).
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince first day I'm having problems with music player. When I click to play a song it takes several seconds to update screen, moreover hardware buttons doesn't do anything. After a few seconds mobile starts to work again, and everything seems well.
It happens with any application that play music (Microsoft, Nokia and mine), and with any music file. Same files where working perfectly on a Lumia 800.
I need to know if you have this bug or it's just me. I have E72-1 with 023.002 FW and whenever in stand by mode I press a number key several times quickly, the phone locks for a couple of seconds before displaying the numbers. If I press different numbers in sequence it's fine but whenever I press the same number quickly several times it happens. For example try to press the number 0 five times or more very fast and tell me if it displays them as you are pressing. I formatted the phone but it didn't cure the problem.

It will also occur when the phone is in keylock mode, not the "clock" but just be unresponsive.I've installed no apps, made mods, or anything. And this occurs whether the battery is full or not (the phone does get quite a bit slower when the batt is almost dead as well). Is there a new OS available? I didn't see anything on the rogers site.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Nexus 5 phone for 16 months now - generally worked great. Occasionally it dies and wont power up, but tends to be fine once you leave it charged for 10 minutes and give it a go a few times.
However, now, it wont boot up at all. It has a mind of its own of turning on and off every few seconds, and then just staying on the Google logo before switching off again.
Very occasionally it gets to the 4 circles but again shut offs after a few seconds.
I've read a few threads that suggest pressing Vol button and power on button. I've tried that and get to the android robot screen, but it switches off like 1 second after, so im unable to select any options.
When I have connected to a charger, it constantly boots up and switches off the google logo after couple of seconds all by itself. But if not connected to a charger, then it remains off unless I press power button or give it a little knock.
Recently updated BlackberryTorch 45 to 7.0 Bundle 2404. Ever since, whenever I make a call, the screen locks. I can't browse while on a call, and I can't even activate speaker phone or dial an extension after the initial number. The only thing I can do is hang-up. Once I hang up, everything returns to normal. Is there a new security setting I am missing, or is this some new undocumented extra feature?
View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time i lock the screen the SIM locks as well, meaning I have to enter the SIM pin code every time I unlock the phone! Also no one can call me since the SIM is locked. This happened once in a while on 1.6 but since my update to 2.1 this morning it happens every time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I downloaded the new OS months ago, I noticed that every time I hung up the phone, it locks and I have to enter my password. I tried to disable my password function I can't do it either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is the second torch I've gotten with button problems. I've been a customer of blackberry and Telus for the past ten years.Blackberry, or Telus doesn't seem to give a care about the substandard quality of their product or their customers.I had a Storm and traded it in due to the buttons simply not working. Bought a Torch and six months later the buttons failed. Sent it in for warrantee and Telus blamed me for a problem I didn't even have to avoid the warantee until I complained so much they reoplaced it a few months back. Now this piece of **bleep** is giving me the same heartache.Called for support and they said to send it in for warrantee work. I'm a realtor and can't anmswer my phone half the time. I can't use the back button or the menu buttons. I get charged every time I send the phone back for an evaluation even though it's not my problem and its under warrantee.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOnce I take 9810 out of case, it takes 5-10 seconds to update current time and display new message if any. It also behaves similarly if it went into sleep mode and I press any button to bring it back to active mode. Sometimes hourglass is displayed and takes a while for this phone to become operational. This was not the case with 9800 or any other blackberries I had in past.Is it normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800 phone. Lately I have had issues with the phone dieing after a few seconds of looking at an app or taking a picture. My battery reads 98% and after looking at the app the phone shuts down in seconds as there is not enough power. Some times I can reboot the phone and it will show a high percentage then dies again. I have re installed the OS a few times now and have not added any apps. Is this the battery or the phone having issues? I do not want to waist money on a new battery if it is the phone because for the most part it keeps a charge only not when your using it for more than a phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone just went off on its own. The LED shows for about five seconds on n off when i plug the phone to a wall charger. I have pulled the battery and reinserted but nothing changed. I charged it over night and the phone flickered on and off this morning the went off again to its off status.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Torch is freezing up for a few seconds at a time and a small black square appears mid screen, with a clock hand whirring round. Then it 'un-freezes' and continues to work in a normal way. Until it freezes again!
View 4 Replies View Relatedi had my new torch just over a week ago and recently its started too turn off and freeze, yesterday it froze so i took the battery out and tried resetting it, now it wont turn back on?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was on the internet earlier and it said the pages security certificate was out of date but I knew it was a trusted site so I clicked continue and finished using my phone and put it in my back pocket. When I next check my phone the LED light was permanatly stuck on and the battery really quickly drained so I charged it up but it will only charge to 50% and the light is still on, I've pulled out the battery and left it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy does the Torch constantly freeze. I did not have this problem initially, swapped out for a new phone and since it still happens, I realize that this must be an OS issue, yet I have not seen any updates.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi've had my Blackberry torch for less than 24 hours and i am already having problems. It was working fine until i had synced some music onto it from my pc. When i disconnected it, it flashed red in the LED indicator and turned off then rebooted. Problem is, it will reboot then turn on and verify the security software, it will stay on for about 7 seconds, then the LED flashes again, turns off, reboots and does the whole thing over and over continuously. However, when i connect it to the computer in the few seconds it is actually on, it appears to work fine and I don't have this problem at all. It starts again as soon as i take the USB out though. Oh, and I have done a battery pull & it didn't make a difference & the phone is 100% charged.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9810 with the OS 7. Outside of the apps that were preinstalled with the phone, the only apps I have added are gmail and yahoo mail. I have 201.9 MB of free space in app storage, 6.2GB free in total media storage, and 3.2 gb free on my media card.
The device restarts on its own. Started off gradually, maybe once a day. And it would do it then, after sitting idle for a while and I pick it up, sliding out the keyboard would trigger a reboot. Then it would do that 2-3 times a day. I was thinking it had a defect in the slide out qwerty. Now it does it more frequently and has started doing it in the middle of calls. It has rebooted 3 times already this morning within an hour. One time without me even touching it, I just happen to see the screen come back on as it was booting up.
My device constantly freezes up, a timeclock appears on the screen and remains for a few minutes. This happens almost every time I use it.

My BlackBerry Torch 9810 refuses to start-up and while trying to rectify this issue using Desktop Manager, it fails to get passed the "Reconnecting to JVM" phase.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I hit the lock button, my screen turns off, but turns back on only 5-10 seconds after by itself and then stays on until the battery dies. It does stay off if I insert it into a Blackberry belt holster, so as long as I leave it there, it's fine, but I want to take it out and not have the battery drain so quickly.
The only way I can ensure the screen is off when not in the holster is to power off, but I need my phone to be on 24/7 for business.
My BB Torch 9800 on my AT&T network is constantly not holding any battery charge, it's constantly dying on me even though I constantly have in plugged into a car charger or a wall charger at all times, it also started to reboot itself and then once its complete it reboots itself again and again and again. I've tried leaving the battery out for 15min and then trying to reboot it again, that does nothing. I've gone into the Options section under Device and disables the Compression, that did nothing, I've check the CPU Usage for the day and the week nothing is really eating the power up. I have also held down the menu button and switched off all my apps in there and still no better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery single solitary call, sometimes multiple times, my cheek brushes near the screen and I put the caller on hold without realising it. It's enough to make me not want to use the phone for talking it's so constant. Yes I have a screen protector.Surely there is a software update now that freezes the screen?
