Just upgraded to 7.1 on my 9810 and now the maps app screen locks after 10 minutes of use.... Very frustrating and unsafe while driving, having to remove phone from dock to enter password to unlock.
View 1 RepliesEvery time i lock the screen the SIM locks as well, meaning I have to enter the SIM pin code every time I unlock the phone! Also no one can call me since the SIM is locked. This happened once in a while on 1.6 but since my update to 2.1 this morning it happens every time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently updated BlackberryTorch 45 to 7.0 Bundle 2404. Ever since, whenever I make a call, the screen locks. I can't browse while on a call, and I can't even activate speaker phone or dial an extension after the initial number. The only thing I can do is hang-up. Once I hang up, everything returns to normal. Is there a new security setting I am missing, or is this some new undocumented extra feature?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have 3 Ray phones in our family. I have upgraded my to ICS, but the other two still have the original android OS - GB. Problems that we experience on all three phones are as follows; If I look at the video file and turn the phone 90 degrees (it does not matter if I turn it left or right), then screen lock lock the screen immediately. I can not unlock the phone as long as the phone is in the same position. I have to turn it back 90 degrees for it to go to unlock it. The same happens even if I want to play games and have to turn my phone 90 degrees, or if I want to photograph or record a film. If I do not turn my phone 90 degrees, then everything works as it should, but it is supposed to be able to rotate the phone, depending on what you do without screen lock locks my phone immediately?

I've been a customer of blackberry and Telus for the past ten years.Blackberry, or Telus doesn't seem to give a care about the substandard quality of their product or their customers.I had a Storm and traded it in due to the buttons simply not working. Bought a Torch and six months later the buttons failed. Sent it in for warrantee and Telus blamed me for a problem I didn't even have to avoid the warantee until I complained so much they reoplaced it a few months back. Now this piece of **bleep** is giving me the same heartache.Called for support and they said to send it in for warrantee work. I'm a realtor and can't anmswer my phone half the time. I can't use the back button or the menu buttons. I get charged every time I send the phone back for an evaluation even though it's not my problem and its under warrantee.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince getting my new phone - Samsung s6 in September I have been using it for screen mirroring with my TV to watch some movies and stuff. So decided to watch some more today and the screen locks after a time, say 10 mins.
How I change this? Non of the options I have seen allow this to be disabled they just allow for it to be longer. 10 for screen turn off and 30 mins for lock is the most I can get.
So I ran the update to v 5 BB desktop reccomended. My phone now locks up on the ATT screen and does not work. I tried running apploader and it sticks on reading device. Both places hung on "connecting".

It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
When I dialed a number today as soon as I presses the call button my screen locked and when I tried to unlock it it just went on lock again the touchpad was not working nothing

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm on my second Lumia 900 (first was preordered, current one is in-store replacement). Both had the 12084 software update. And both did this - when on a call with the headset plugged in and the mini USB plugged into a computer or wall socket, the screen would lock me out.
If I pressed the side button to get the lock screen - nothing. The call in progress would still be there, but the device would not allow me to do anything until I either unplugged the mini USB or pressed the side button enough times for it to return and show me the call screen.
My blackberry curve will power on and boot but as soon as it gets to the main screen, it locks. If I hit any button, the screen goes black and I am not able to do anything. I have removed the battery several times. It comes up with a meeting reminder and as soon as I try to get rid of it everything is locked....

For example if I have been scrolling down a web page and gone past an article but not clicked on it, locked my phone and then unlocked it a few minutes later and it has that article open like I have clicked it.
I know people may think I've clicked it by accident and then locked my phone but I can assure you this is not the case.
I am trying to track when it happens and it does appear to be mainly when I'm on the browser.
The screen of my 3GS iphone went completely white, itīs not really shuted down but I can not see anything. It comes back to normal (although it works quite slowly) when I restart it, until the screen blocks again or after I receive a phone call. Iīve already tried to reset and restore the phone, but it continues with the same problem.

Media Player on my bold 9790 closed after the screen is locked. I have activated the screen lock after 60 sec. and apparently media player also closes with the screen lock. How can this be solved?

She says she has not changed any settings and my D3 has never done this. Don't see any new apps installed and the phone has been rebooted.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had to reset my phone using the factory reset option after it started doing some strange things. This is the second time I have had problems - the first after installing a few apps (only 2 - a free pool game and a free solitaire game), the second was after my niece surfed some possibly suss sites looking for Santa jokes! It may also have been installed apps causing the problems - I installed the app for the NSW Live Traffic.
So now, as soon as I make/dial/place a call (hit the green phone), the screen closes or goes black, and I have to press the power button to reactivate the screen. If I do this quickly, the actual screen lock has not yet activated, but if I do it after a few seconds I also need to swipe.
I cannot locate any setting which seems to be causing this. Last time I factory reset the phone, I didn't get this issue, so it may be something which is still installed which is causing the problem. I have tried uninstalling the NSW Live Traffic app plus anything else which wasn't part of the phone's operating system.
My new sony xperia z2 has problem of screen lock automatically when i receive or make calls. I cant lock off screen pushing power button as mentioned in settings. Its completely turn dark and i have to wait until the other party hang off the phone.Specially when i mistakenly make a call i have no control on phone to cancel it because of automatically screen lock and same problem when making a call and converts into voice mail.

It does it whether using the speaker or headphones. I never used to do this and I'm wondering whether I've clicked something in settings /preferences that is making it shut down the player.
I updated today to Maps 3.01. (To be noted that Ovi Suite still considers there is a new version of Maps available and would download and install 3.01 again any times I click on update.) When starting Maps the load screen with progress bar appears, then I can see an "empty" map. No keys work. After a few seconds (around 10 or so) the phone restarts.I deleted Cities folder and the file QF, rebooted, reinstalled etc. nothing helps.

I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.
