Media Player on my bold 9790 closed after the screen is locked. I have activated the screen lock after 60 sec. and apparently media player also closes with the screen lock. How can this be solved?
View 1 RepliesI have a BB Curve 9330 (Verizon). While playing MP3's on my phone, media player stops suddenly for no reason. It's not due to an incoming call or message or notification of any kind. It just stops. It happens at random times. It can be after just a few minutes or after a half hour of playing. When I check my BB after this happens, Media Player is completely shut down. I have to manually restart my MP3's all over again. This is very annoying. Does anyone know of a fix for this

It does it whether using the speaker or headphones. I never used to do this and I'm wondering whether I've clicked something in settings /preferences that is making it shut down the player.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI still have not been able to stop the Atrix music player from stopping after 4 minutes when the screen timeout is set for 2 minutes. Strangest thing. The screen shuts off after 2 minutes as it should but the music keeps playing for exactly 2 more minutes then stops. When the screen is set to never time out, there is no problem, (except unnecessarily buring out the screen and the battery, of course.) The auto-end list in the stock task manager has Music, Gellery, Files and Purchased Media set to NOT shut off. I have read that there are other apps that should be on this list, like News and Weather

Every time i lock the screen the SIM locks as well, meaning I have to enter the SIM pin code every time I unlock the phone! Also no one can call me since the SIM is locked. This happened once in a while on 1.6 but since my update to 2.1 this morning it happens every time.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI recently updated OS 5 to OS 6 on my Bold 9700 and I was not impressed. OS 6 though smother has cluttered main screen with solid blue highlights - OS 5 is way better in that respect. But my main beef is Media Player. On OS 5 I can copy and paste videos from my computer to media card (without desktop manager) and they all play flawlessly; slider works and I can pick up movie at the point I have left it off. Files are coded for 480x320 resolution for .wmv, .mp4 and .avi. And card was properly formatted. In OS 6 however only .wmv are playing properly. Rest of them are always playing form the beginning and when slider is used video becomes scrambled. .mp4 flies are coded through Nero and are not recognized by BB desktop software. Can anybody shed some light on this issue and have a workaround.I have downgraded back to OS 5.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB used to be able to play the .wav files that I received by email from my office phone system. I just ran the BB updates it wanted to and now when I attempt to play a .wav file, media player opens but then says - an error has occurred attempting to play media. The media being played is of an unsupported format.
I found posts saying I needed to install the BB attachment service but I can't get the option to show in Desktop Manager even following the instructions to download and run the OS on the PC.
I used this with absolutely zero problems when I was running 4.6. I recently upgraded to 5.0 (681), and now none of the streams I used to use work. I get an error message, saying that it could not be open.Any suggestions as to A) how to fix it or B) a free app that will stream custom URLs? My phone has been reset several times since I first noticed this problem, and it is still an issue, so a battery pull/reset is not solving this at all.

As of yesterday, whenever I open and use my music player and select shuffle and repeat all, the player will only play 2 songs, and then stop- not playing anoter song, and not shuffling to the next song. Furthermore, when I's listening to a song and press the menu button, I see on the menu list, that besides the shuffle and repeat options there is this "{2}" which I assume, means to play only 2 songs.
If anybody could advise me how to get the player back to it's old fab way of shuffling all songs and playing them throughout, rather than just 2 songs then stopping- i'd be eternally grateful
does anyone have a problem with lowering the volume when playing media player ?? because sometimes when i did lower the volume it's like i did track down.i had this before and after the upgrade, i'm using .442 now

Up till a few days ago I had no problems using You Tube. Now it won't work anymore.Everytime I try to watch a video on you tube, it says "loading." then I get a screen pop up saying "Error occurred while attemping to play media player"
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been having a blast exploring and customizing my 9700 over the past few days and last night installed a 16GB microsd and began the process of transferring some of my music to the device via the Blackberry Media Sync app on my pc. Transfer went just fine and all files show up on the card, however when I use the Media Player on the device and select by "Album" or "Artist" the tracks are listed alphabetically rather than by track number. It's not a huge deal except when I want to listen to a particular album in track order (The Wall is just made to played that way, isn't it? ). I have looked around for a menu option or something to list by track, but have had no luck. Does anyone here know how to do this? Also, if I connect to my pc via "Mass Storage Mode" and drill down to the album folder in question the track number shows up in the windows explorer folder and all my mp3 files are saved in a "Track Number" - "Songname".mp3 format.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince first day I'm having problems with music player. When I click to play a song it takes several seconds to update screen, moreover hardware buttons doesn't do anything. After a few seconds mobile starts to work again, and everything seems well.
It happens with any application that play music (Microsoft, Nokia and mine), and with any music file. Same files where working perfectly on a Lumia 800.
My music player has disappeared from my Media Player folder. I did nothing to delete it. It was working fine I closed it and when I went back to media player it was gone. find it or download a new one. I have a Torch with the latest software upgrades.

I'm sure I changed it to this at some point from something else however I don't know how or where etc. My friend's Blackberry (same Bold 9700) has a lock screen that shows a padlock to say it's locked but I don't get this? Any ideas? This lock screen displays her background image and a little padlock in the bottom corner etc.

When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
Well I got a black berry bold 9790 about a month ago; however, the touch screen stops responding and doesn't work again until I switch the phone off and remove the battery, it doesn't work even I reboot the phone without removing the battery.

It stops responding to touch and the phone has to be shut, battery taken out, phone restarted and then the touch screen starts responding. This happens atleast once a day and I'm getting fed up of this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have now tried three separate music players (ATT Music Player, Google Music and Winamp. All three have a common problem. I begin playing music, and then after a minute or so, the music stops.I've tried several fixes over the last couple of weeks to rectify the issue including:
-Music players are not on the "Auto-End List."
-I've taken programs that seem to be associated with playing music off the "Auto-End List"
-Phone battery savings setting: Performance Mode
-Screen timeout is set at 1 minute. (I know that this should not affect the music player.)The only time that this doesn't happen is when I set the screen timeout to never. So when it is set to timeout, or when I turn the phone off via the power button, the music plays for a minute or so and then stops.
When I connect my Motoactv via USB to Motocast I receive and error message where it says that MML has stopped working suddenly and windows is looking for a fix.Then nothingI have ripped and re-installed the program several times and still doesn't work. It worked once when I first set up Motoactv then hasn't worked since.Anyone know of a fix. I just really want to update my Motoactv with the new software and manage my music through Motocast via MML.
