View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
i have the curve 8520...it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set.. then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone ran out of battery completely, and turned off, like normal. However, when I plugged it into my 240v wall charger, it came up with a battery symbol and a red cross over the top, something i have never seen before. I have taken the battery out and out it back in many times now and no luck. The LED turns red for a few seconds upon inserting the charger, but goes off and will not allow me to turn the phone on as usual.I have looked at my battery and next to the gold contact plates, is a little white strip, its turned partially red. I heard somewhere that the batterys have a device to notify you if the battery has become wet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone will time out, then reboot then when it comes back the battery is totaly drained. Has this ever happened to anyone? and how can i fix it
View 1 Replies View Relatedi recently bought a curve 9360 about 5months ago. recently my battery drained and the phone shut down, when i plugged the charger in the red led stays on for about 10-20 secs then goes off. is my phone still charging but just wont turn on? or could there be a problem with my phone as my charger works in other phones
View 4 Replies View RelatedI left my phone in the rain and did my best at drying it out. On recharging the red light goes off after a couple of minutes and soon after a battery with a red cross icon appears on the screen .Does this mean the battery, phone and sim card are wrecked. Does the water short out the junctions on the processor, power management, screen etc? Can anything be saved?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the Blackberry Curve 8520 for about a year and a half and today it suddenly switched off and won't turn back on. I've taken the battery out and checked it and it cant be the battery because I had full battery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo expect a problem you've all probably heard of a thousand and one times!.. But do please help! This thing is very frustrating! I'm hoping there's some professionals on this forum!
Here's my problem....As soon as I turn on my BlackBerry, it heats up quicker than a kettle!
I bought a brand new battery for it today as well. So it can't be the battery.
Someone suggested holding shift, alt and delete (for a soft reset)...which didn't work/help. They also said it could be the OS.. but it's currently using the latest OS?! Perhaps I need a downgrade?! I'm really not sure.
My Curve 8530 has been turning off spontaneously power cycling then the Blackberry download screen comes on. It will then fully load and when it powers back on the battery will be completely drained. It will do this in the middle of phone calls, texting and browsing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife bought a new factory-sealed curve (on ebay) because her old one broke. works perfectly in all regards. except - when connected to PC, won't prompt to go into Mass Storage Mode. We went into Options -> Media Options, and everything is set up properly. We even tried changing options here and changing them back. We called VZW blackberry support - they were stumped. we tried KB19717-The BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB Mass Storage Device when connected to a computerand the Microsoft hotfix it references - no luck. (of course, they're all for 8520)the VZW support guy had her "hard reset" her unit (whatever that means). We reformatted the card. no luck.
We tried a battery pull (several - would have to in order to swap memory cards). didn't matterWe uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop Manager 4.7 -059Putting the card into her old (screen-damaged-but-functional-unit) everything works fine. We tried a different card in her unit. No luck.We tried her unit on a different PC (different USB cable too) no luck. The device shows up in Device Manager, and Desktop Manager (and evil Roxio Media manager) all work fine. Can explore the card fine from the device, and the status in options -> media card says it's thereBut it will NOT show up as a mass storage device
Because of what does work, it doesn't feel like a HW issue - maybe a driver issue?
my blackberry curve 8520 white screens and drains the battery after phone calls. It won't reboot unless I plug it in. I'm not sure why - I've upgraded the software, completely wiped and restored, and I've taken the battery out, left it for 5 minutes and tried to start again. It just started doing this - I haven't had any other problems with this phone ever.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to pull the battery or reboot my phone several times a day because my sound just shuts off for no reason. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there new software I need or something?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve that's frozen up and now all it does is show the loading hourglass.... I've taken out the battery and I've tried letting it finish loading after taking the battery out. Well after letting it sit for 2 hours with this loading screen up it still hasn't done anything. What should I do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone froze. I took the battery out and reset it. I put the batter back in. It turns back on and does the security verifying and then shows the main screen. The issue is that i try to scroll through the applications and it does not respond. I cannot dial numbers or anything. It just stay on the main screen. When I pulled the batter I notice that there is a red line on the white part near the pickups on the battery.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy curve has been fantastic, but after a while its getting really slow, the messages take a week to load, and i have to do a battery pull sometimes to get it to work.and another problem, even when im connected to a wifi network, it uses my sim internet, any idea why?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince acquiring a G4 recently I've noticed something weird going on with the phone's battery stats report. For some reason the Phone App is always listed as the highest battery consumer, even in circumstances when the screen should definitely be at the top with upwards of 4 hours of SOT.
Here's a shot from today after being off a full charge for about 15 hours and 1.5 hours of SOT (a good chuck of this was overnight idle).
This is happening on every full recharge even after rebooting and full charging in an off state.
However, the GSam report looks much more normal and closer to what I would expect to see
I updated to WM10 10586.29 and now when my battery gets to 70% To 75% it will drain down do 2% in an hour. I have location, Hey Cortana and most background apps turned off and still get the drain. Also I just noticed while charging it takes forever, but when it get's to 40% it goes up to 100% in less than 10 min.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI bought Xperia Ray this year. I wanna ask in this forum that Does overcharging of my xperia ray phone damage the phone as well as the battery?
Because, I have experienced in some Mobile of different make, the battery charging goes automatically off once it gets fully charged. And thus protect the phone as well as the battery.
I gave my sister my old curve its about 1 1/2 yrs old. the day i gave it to her the phone worked just fine but after she flew back home the battery would only last her a few minutes. i told her to try a new battery but it still has not changed anything. i even got her to upgrade to 5.0 just to see if it would make any difference but it doesnt.
she barely uses any apps, and mostly uses the phone for emailing.on standby it will every 10minutes or so the battery life will go down by 10%, and after a few texts or a minute or two on a call the phone will just die. she can pretty much just use it when its connected to a power source.Seems like a phone issue but there is no warranty on it
My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I'm on the move a lot, travelling to and from University each day which can take anywhere between 1-2 hours getting there and getting back. I'm always on my phone during travelling as there isb't much else to do and I like to keep in touch with friends. I use Facebook and the internet a lot on their and I understand this is why my battery runs down so quick. Using it for I'd say 3 or so hours and the battery is done, I usually take my usb cable to uni so I can charge it ready for the journey home. Is there anyway I can get the same usage out of it and not drain the battery so much? I am thinking of getting a new battery first off as I'd say the current one would not be able to achieve good life againt, but is there long lasting batteries I can get?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry 8520, I have had it for about 2 months now. My blackberry battery gets really hot than within the hour the battery dies. This happens randomly. First time it happened to me I was in a movie theatre and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I was wearing it on my belt clip and had it on loud. I do not keep any apps running and usually only use the phone for txts and email. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and he has the same problem. My blackberry is updated with the latest software. Any one else have this same issue?

I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
No Browser is running and I dont have any apps. I was on the phone for 15 min and my battery was half dead when I got off. Was never like that before. I've had this phone for almost 2 years. The same thing is happening with the rest of my families Blackberrys. Why is this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
