BB Curve :: Only Way To Tun-off Phone Was To Remove Battery
May 17, 2011
went for a long bike ride on Sunday in wet conditions with my Blackberry in my cycling jersey.May have got wet.Keyboard will not now work.Switches on, receives text and some email messages but no phone calls and will not respond to any keys. Have taken battery out and re-inserted.No "joy".Tried the "reset" (Alt, Del, R Shift) again no "joy".Flying today, only way to tun-off phone was to remove the battery.
I did a security wipe on my phone because I previously encountered a problem with my phonebook. The wipe resolved my phonebook problem but caused me a new dilemma. An unusual battery icon started appearing and it won't go away. I tried draining my batt, rebooting the phone, full charging the batt, security wiping again, nothing seems to work.
I recently have been having some weird problems with my HTC One M7. My battery has been draining a heck of a lot faster than it used to. It has also been lagging quite a bit. Sometimes extremely.
For example. One day it drained 40% in one hour. As I am typing this, it has drained 6% in like 3 mins. That's insane.
For an example of lag, it has been registering short presses as long ones, or taking a long time to pop up the lock screen, or open the app drawer. Some times a few seconds.
I recently installed the newest sense update, and installed tasker from aptoide, but then deleted it.
When I tried to factory reset it, it does nothing. Same for removing device admins. ( I was trying to uninstall ac display).
I purchased second hand Blackberry curve 9360 one year old. But it frequently hanging in a day for one time and than after I have to remove battery and start it again, than it will run for 8 to 10 hours.
Around a week ago I used a friends 'selfie stick'. The same day I was walking around Windsor and noted that the phone had powered down. I tried pressing the power key, but the phone did not turn on. I took the battery out, replaced it and then the phone came back on.
The problem now seems to reoccur when I have put my phone in my back pocket and either walk some distance, or keep it in my back pocket in the car (for some reason).
I have a curve and I want to sell it. I tried to wipe handheld and when I did the wipe the apps were not wiped, I saw a post about dialing ##000000 and some setting I can do to wipe the apps, but no clear discreption. Anyone have any ideas on wipeing this apps not one by one so I can sell this phone.
I am still trying to remove pics from my 8330 BB to my PC. When I do this my PC tells me to insert a disk. Why? I just want to remove pics from my memory device.
My wife just lost her BB 8520 and we now have a new one. Im just worried that the emal sent to her other BlackBerry phone will still be sent there. How can this be stopped?
I have a second hand blackberry curve. The previous owner thought everything had been cleared but I started receiving his emails the other day. I took the phone into a phone shop and they cleared the phone again but I am still receiving his emails. When you go to email setup the only address/account showing is my email, so I can't just disassociate the phone from his account that way.
I have a blackberry 9300 3G curve with OS 6. Since past two days my battery is draining off very fast. I have changed the battery but the problem still exists. Even if i switch off the phone and switch it on again the battery is discharged.
I have only basic blackberry apps + facebook + whats app + google maps only. Rest i have uninstalled.
i have the curve 8520...it was working earlier today I changed my sim card so I put my phone shut off. After this when I switched on my hand set.. then I found a battery symbol with a red x and the phone is not booting OS. I am not sure what that means but my phone won't turn on and won't charge. I tried taking the battery out and now it turns on but the symbol is still there and the loading bar is on the screen and it won't change. I also took outmy sim card & memory card.
My phone ran out of battery completely, and turned off, like normal. However, when I plugged it into my 240v wall charger, it came up with a battery symbol and a red cross over the top, something i have never seen before. I have taken the battery out and out it back in many times now and no luck. The LED turns red for a few seconds upon inserting the charger, but goes off and will not allow me to turn the phone on as usual.I have looked at my battery and next to the gold contact plates, is a little white strip, its turned partially red. I heard somewhere that the batterys have a device to notify you if the battery has become wet.
I'm looking at the schematica and I can't make out how I get this battery door to open. My phone is non-repsonsive. ican't turn it on and the troubleshooting guise said to remove the battery and put it back in. I can't figure out how to open up this device and get the battery out.
i recently bought a curve 9360 about 5months ago. recently my battery drained and the phone shut down, when i plugged the charger in the red led stays on for about 10-20 secs then goes off. is my phone still charging but just wont turn on? or could there be a problem with my phone as my charger works in other phones
I left my phone in the rain and did my best at drying it out. On recharging the red light goes off after a couple of minutes and soon after a battery with a red cross icon appears on the screen .Does this mean the battery, phone and sim card are wrecked. Does the water short out the junctions on the processor, power management, screen etc? Can anything be saved?
I've had the Blackberry Curve 8520 for about a year and a half and today it suddenly switched off and won't turn back on. I've taken the battery out and checked it and it cant be the battery because I had full battery.
I have just purchased a 1208 and I having problemns removing battery cover. Do you need to press a release button and if so where is it as it just won't slide off.
My xperia x8 keeps restarting-I tried to remove the battery & turned it off; and turn it on again, but the same thing happens. I cannot get to the main menu. It just keeps repeating the same process over & over again. This happened when I was using an app. The app lagged and it restarted and now it keeps restarting. When I connected it to a charger and turned off, it's fully charged.
How do you properly remove the battery cover on the XPRT? Do you lift the little slot on the bottom next to the mic or what? Nothing really seems to slide out..
