My blackberry 9300 came back from a repair due to an issue re battery not charging correctly. Since then on one particular mobile number can ring through to it but when trying to send a message to this same number it states 'identified subscriber'.
For some reason I am unable to send text messages to one of my contacts. Even though the tick sign comes up in the outbox, they do not get the message. This doesn't happen with any other contacts??
I got my blackberry curve 9300 back from repair and it is working fine until I try and text someone. I type out the message and a little message pops up and reads "unidentified subscriber" but if I call the same number that works fine.
I don't know if I'm just being stupid, but I don't seem to be a ble to text to a number. When I enter a number the phone tries to "lookup" a contact and then send option is not there
How do I save the mobile number of somebody who has sent me a text, to my Contacts list? It seems that I have to make a note of the number and type it in! There must be a quicker way!
I keep getting texts from the following number 07800002015 it appears that this number is replacing the number the text was actually sent from. I am using vodaphone business account, anything i can do to stop this?
I wonder if there is a way to increase the number of characters in a text message. I'm sick of the words "field full" when I just want to finish a bloody sentence!
My daughter has a BB curve and has a problem sending text messages to one of her friends. She gets a message back saying that there are insufficient digits in the number. However, she has the correct number in her contact list and has also tried to reply to a received text from the friend but gets the same message. I have the same number in my BB Bold 9700 and she is able to send messages successfully from my phone. She has also re-saved the number of her contact but still no luck. This is the only number she has problems with.
Every once in a while I would get one SMS message from an unknown number which was spam. Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. Is there a way to block any spam text messages? I've just been deleting them, but didn't know if you can filter or block SMS msgs like you can with emails. I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 through AT&T
I have only one cell number that will show up in my text messaging with just the number not the name. I have deleted it and reentered it. It has a + in front of the number.
I am new to this whole Blackberry thing, so please... take it easy on me.Anyway, whenever I add a new contact from a phone call or whatever it, by default, goes under as their "Work" number. Even when I transferred numbers from my Envy to my Blackberry a lot of the contacts went under "Work" rather than "Mobil".How can I change it so that by default it comes up under mobile (since that's the majority of numbers I add to my contacts)? Also, is there a way to easily switch the classification of a number? Lately I've been just going into the contact and retyping it, but doing that for all of my contacts will be a pain.
I just recieved a text message from myself! And everytime I reply, the same message I send just comes right back to my phone immediately. What does this mean?
I have transferred the number from my old phone to my Blackberry Curve but the phone stills shows the original number. Is it possible to change it?, and if so how is it done?
Which connection is needed to send messages while using a BB Pin number? Is it at the same cost as a text message or would I get charged for making a short connection to the internet?
just like to say that this is my very first post in this forum. I have been the proud owner of my Samsung Galaxy S II for the past week now. Couple of things to ask that is annoying me a bit though, and just wondering if there's a solution to these. Consider these scenarios:
First one: I receive a text from a friend who says that he has a new number. Because he's in my contacts, I can simply add his number to it. So I open the text, I press the menu key and tap "Add to Contacts". I then find him and tap his name. Usually it appears underneath the rest of the numbers, but because he has Facebook and I've selected to have my friends from there appear in my contacts, it doesn't. Apart from manually typing it in myself, is there a way to add his number?
Secondly: I play some music using the built-in music player (Applications > Music). Once the track starts playing, I press the back button continuously until I reach the home page/idle screen. To go back into it quickly, I pull down the status bar down from the top, and tap the Music panel. From here, how can I go back to a previous screen within the Music player to select a playlist, switch to a new artist, etc? The back button this time returns you to the home/idle screen. The list button just shows the current playlist that is being played. What would be good is to see that scrolling menu at the top again.
Is there anyway to enable this feature like on the c3, When i get a text it just comes up saying 1 new message, With no name or number with who its from, Is this normall for the E5, Why did they leave this feature out?
I have "secret" phone number so I't doesn't show to receiver at all, but I can send my number using *31# in front of actual number... So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... Is there anyway to change text message number within numbers in contacts... I have noticed that when I have two numbers without this *31# I can choose which number to use... but not with that..
I have a contact with two numbers, one from Google, one from Outlook. However, I can't identify which number the person replied from when he sends an SMS. How do you find this out. I remember in older phones, it was message details.http://www.sassco.co.uk/ Soccer and basketball events in the UK andEurope.http://www.sasscodesign.co.uk / Freelance website design service
I have transferred my current wireless number to a new phone and I want to ensure my blackberry storm 2 is wiped clean which I've completed but my callback number is still displayed in the SMS Text feature.
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 on the T-Mobile network and as of two months ago now, I have been unable to call or text my girlfriend. She has an iPhone 5 also on the T-Mobile network.
When the problem began, we had been texting for half of the day and she suddenly stopped receiving my texts.
Now the texts show as delivered on my end, but she never gets them and when I try calling it goes straight to voice-mail. She can receive texts and calls from everyone else, while I can also text and call anyone besides her.
We went through both our phones and I'm most definitely not on her blocked list. Tried restarting and re-adding each others numbers but nothing happens.
With my previous smartphones, I had the possibility to dial tel. numbers directely from a text message or from the agenda. For my client visits, I alway put the complete address and contact info in the subject of the agenda item. When I have some traffic problems and will be later then forseen, I can contact my client directly from the tel number in that agenda subject, without havng to put in the number again. Also from text messages. Whan someone speeeks a message into my voicemail, I receive a text message from my provider with a short phonenumber to listen to the message directly. I have now an iphone, but it doesn't recognise the number in the agenda or sms as a phone number, and I can't mark them. Is this an option that has to be set on or so? Or is it just not integrated in the OS? Would be handy, I had it in all my other phones, Nokia, HTC,...
Why is it hat when my contacts text me some will with the name and the others just come up as a phone number? I am a new I product user and it's got me stumped.
