how do you send a phone number that's not in your contact list to someone through a text message? I was looking for an option to send a phone number in my recent calls, but not in my contact list, to someone through a text message and i couldn't find one.

View 14 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has a BB curve and has a problem sending text messages to one of her friends. She gets a message back saying that there are insufficient digits in the number. However, she has the correct number in her contact list and has also tried to reply to a received text from the friend but gets the same message. I have the same number in my BB Bold 9700 and she is able to send messages successfully from my phone. She has also re-saved the number of her contact but still no luck. This is the only number she has problems with.

So my N79 is refusing to let me send text messages on the grounds that "Text Message: Not enough memory to perform operation. Please delete some data first". So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the X8 a couple of days ago, but not being able to send texts is bothering me. I am with Vodafone Ireland, I refreshed the SMSC number and it says "+35387699989,145". The +35387699989 part is correct, but I'm not sure why the ,145 is there. I have tried removing the, 145 part and hitting update, but I get an update error. The phone has 47.27MB Available Space. It's running Android 2.1 (I purchased the phone with it already installed). I have tried several different sims including a new one I got today.

So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... With my previous smartphones, I had the possibility to dial tel. numbers directely from a text message or from the agenda. For my client visits, I alway put the complete address and contact info in the subject of the agenda item. When I have some traffic problems and will be later then forseen, I can contact my client directly from the tel number in that agenda subject, without havng to put in the number again. Also from text messages. Whan someone speeeks a message into my voicemail, I receive a text message from my provider with a short phonenumber to listen to the message directly. I have now an iphone, but it doesn't recognise the number in the agenda or sms as a phone number, and I can't mark them. Is this an option that has to be set on or so? Or is it just not integrated in the OS? Would be handy, I had it in all my other phones, Nokia, HTC,...
