i am using bb9380 curve, suddenly when i turn off my mobile because im charging then turn it on again, i cant find call button. right now i cant make a call and received as well?what i will do?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8530 last month, and everything has been going smoothly up until the past week or so.Every time I hit the "End Call" button it results in the Blackberry typing out the letters "NM" repeatedly. If I keep hitting it, it just types out "Nmnmnmnmnmnmnm" ... I have tried a battery pull, multiple times. I've tried a software update. I don't know what else I can do to fix it.
It's driving me insane, I'm in love with my new BB (first time user!), but this is really killing the enjoyment. I've read about this problem with other phones and I'm worried it might move on to other letters and keys, forcing me to not be able to use the phone at all.If anybody can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I've combed these forums for hours looking for a solution, but to no avail. Someone want to give a BB newbie a break?
I did all the relevant updates, desktop software to v6, and phone to 5.0.0.862, but since plugging the phone in, and then taking it out once it had done all the updates, everytime i turn the phone off then on, or battery pull, i recieve a new sms message indicator. However, the message that shows up isnt new at all, EVERYTIME, it is the last message recieved in just one conversation with one person, whether they sent it, or i did.its starting to get annoying as, if this is occuring what else could be.
Plus everytime i plug phone into laptop, and i then go into Blackberry messenger, all the conversations have been wiped and i dont seem to get updates from people.
My lock button on the upper left and call button is not working. Is this an OS problem? how will i solve it?

View 7 Replies View RelatedA couple weeks ago I put a needle (needle and thread) on my phone screen for like 2 seconds, the needle rolled to the side and went between the screen and he side of the phone, as I tried to get it out it went in further and was pushed behind the screen on Saturday I took the phone a part, managed to get the needle out and put the phone back together. Once it was back together I switched it back on and now the call/menu/return and end call buttons are not working. They do click when pressed but they don't actually do anything anymore. So I retook the phone a part just to make sure I didn't snag anything or move anything to which I found I had not.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.

I'm trying Hidden Lock now and it does allow me to remove the emergency call button entirely, but after unlocking, I still have to slide to unlock (so it's a double-action to unlock from the PIN).

View 7 Replies View RelatedAs a fairly new X2 owner (I just switched from an X1 a few weeks ago), one thing that really bugs me is that when I'm on a call that I originate, the phone does not remain on the "call in progress" screen. Instead it goes back to the home screen and if I want to access any "call in progress" options, I have to pull down the notification shade.
Is there any way to change this? Do I have any options?
