When I select a contact from my list n hit call button or dial a number and hit call button the screen switches off even though the call is going on still. For example if I want to give a missed call it is not possible as the screen is going blank. Is there any setting for it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble to dial any phone number. When I press the dial symbol, immediately it returns the error message "contacts stopped" - "o Contatos parou - in Portuguese".
I already tried to clean the cache and data of all related apps, tried hard reset, and still the same error. What could be possibly wrong? The errors started after I dialed a huge telephone number (XX XX xxx xxx xxx xxx) 16 numbers total. Could it be related to this?
My touch screen has been playing up for several weeks nowWhen I try to touch the main screen it will select an area to the right of where I am touching, i.e. clicking the dial pad button will actually select the contacts button, clicking 'answer' on the keypad will put the caller on hold etc etc. Other times the scren will not respon at all.
The funny thing is, when I remove the phone's plastic casing, the touch screen works fine! Similarly, if i push the top part of the case to the sides (so it is not in contact with the digitiser) the touch screen will work again until my phone goes on lock and then when I unlock it the touch screen is stuffed again.
I'm not sure if this is a software or hardware problem. On one hand its as if the plastic casing of the phone is rubbing (putting pressure on) against the side of the touchscreen and causing it to not work (hardware) while on the other hand it could be software in that the problem keeps happening everytime the screen goes to sleep (it's not initialising right).The other problem which started at the exact same time is that the green button is not working sometimes when I try to answer calls or turn off my alarm.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should try? I've already done a hard reset. The next step is to buy a new digitizer/plastic case and see if that solves the problem.
If my C7 screen is on and I receive a call, the screen switches off. I have to either use screen unlock to turn it back on or hit on other buttons to bring it back on and receive a call. And if the screen is off it remains the same when I receive a call and have to go through the same process to switch it on and receive a call. Well I cal receive a call using the green button

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was still on kitkat on my xperia z2. One day, when trying to make a call, I just couln't anymore. Basically, I can bring up my contact list, recent calls etc. But when I go to press a contact, which would usually start ringing them, it does nothing. If I manually enter a number with the keypad and press the dial button - the keypad disappears and it isn't dialing.

I tried restarting my phone, which will then allow me to make calls as usual, but as soon as I close the "phone" app and open it back up again, same problem - pressing contacts/ dial buttons etc will just do nothing. Every time I restart my phone I can pretty much call someone once and that's it.

I went in to my apps list and founf something very strange - two standard "Phone" apps. Why there are two now, they are also different sizes (one is 1.11mb and the other is 2.0mb). I obviously cannot disable or uninstall either of them. I don't know if this is the problem.

I have updated to lollipop, thinking maybe that may work, but everything's exactly the same.
See this call screen? This just started happening to me the other day and I don't know why. Something must have changed, but I don't know what it would have been. Instead of the normal 6 tiles at the bottom, I have only three now. I cannot mute the line or go to a dial pad. I am chatting with Samsung support about it but they are clueless so far. We have tried a soft reset, resetting the Cache and Data for the Phone App, resetting app preferences and Safe Mode and nothing has worked.

If I am calling a customer service line, or my voicemail, I need to enter keypad entries. However once the call begins there is nothing I can do to be able to press anything, unless I pop the keyboard out and back in again. I understand there is a proximity sensor but head isn't that big. Am I doing something wrong? I just updated the OS to the latest version of Android 2.1

The easiest and most logical way to end a call is to press the top lock screen/power button. I recommended this phone to someone and they got a massive shock when they realised they had an active call going for over 8 hours! add this feature in your next update, if not could you at least have a visual clue to let the user know that they have an active call when the screen is off, eg notification light blinking purple or something.

i have recently brought a sony xperia z3+. Love the phone and everything is fine. Until a day or two ago. Everytime i make a call the screen goes dark. I can't have access to the speaker or mute button or the dial buttons nothing. Until i press the power button which then terminates the call.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Galaxy S6 and noticed that when I swipe to call the phone does nothing on the first try (except for showing the green bar with the words "call"). Sometimes it opens the calling screen for a millisecond but then reverts back to contacts. On the second try however it does connect the call. The same happens when I'm in the phone dialer. I'll type in the number, press dial and then it just goes back to the dial screen as if I didn't type in anything. After typing in the number and pressing dial a second time does the phone actually call the number.
It also sometimes happen that the phone will call (showing calling), but the call never connects. After ending the call and redialing does the call go through and connect.
While I am under a phone call if I want to search the browser or sending a text message the keyboard will be unavailable so do the back button will become unavailable...
