My phone is Curve 9300. Having this problem since 3 weeks ago.
Error message appear: The server returned the following error "Access denied: Insecure SSL Request"
Tried with a phone of same model, same error. Tried with a phone of different model, was able to log in.
Prior to this has been using my phone sending and receiving email from the hotmail account without any problem.
i have a blackberry curve 8530 through fido with a valid data plan however i'm unable to use my hotmail. i have gone through the setup added my information but in the end it still won't send or receive email?

Mail: name@live.de
Username: name@live.de
Password: xxxxxxxx
Domain: [leave blank]
and then Server: m.hotmail.com
The first sync is ok. Mail for Exchange shows me my mails.
But it keeps showing the error message: "Cant sync. Please contact Administrator...". And if I try to write an E-Mail it shows me: "Can't send E-Mail".
What's wrong with the Mail for Exchange ?
I've recently purchased a N900, and I'm trying to create a new e-mail account to connect to my hotmail/msn account.
The settings I'm using are :
Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?

Now when I send an email from my blackberry / hotmail account, the signature either gives my my name twice followed by </div> or if i delete my name from the signature, the resulkt is that i just get the </div> appended to the bottom of my email.
I have searched for a solution to this problem, activation and deactivating HTML etc, but to no avail. Is there something I can do to get this resolved?

The e-mail account and Blackberry seem to reconcile well except for changes I make to the e-mail account on my PC. These changes are not reconciling with the Blackberry.So, if I read or delete e-mails from the BB, this shows up on the PC. But if I read or delete e-mails on the PC, this is not reflected on the phone. The BB does, however, receive e-mails from this account.I also have another e-mail account connected (Outlook) which is working perfectly.I have searched through the options and can't find anything that looks like it will resolve the issue.

However, I still cannot send or receive my emais and when I try to send it comes up with an error message: 'User account is in INVALID mode'. I did change my hotmail password the other day; don't know if this is of importance. In addition, I have tried to modify the email account set up on my blackberry but it will not allow me to access the current account settings or allow me to add a new account, the option just doesn't exist or appear, which had not been an issue up until now. I could, however, set up an enterprise account if wanted. I am not sure who to contact about this so thought I'd post here first...

The only problem is that all of my old emails/texts are on the old device and I need them in my new device.Is there any way to download/sync the new device so that I get access to my old messages? And OH I almsot forgot Im taking my precious time and the added pain to write this post to get a resolution instead of a diplomatic happy go lucky and irresponsible answer saying that "We are very sorry that feature is yet not available" or "We are sorry to hear that we will do that in near future", I've heard lot of Sorry's and Apologies over this issue, so please don't feel sorry about that if your not really sorry!My problems described step by step:
A) Whenever I receive an email on my Hotmail which is successfully configured on my BB, if there is a filter to sort it into a predefined FOLDER, then BB fails to retrieve that email?
B) Its logical to sort your emails into folders if your getting tons of email and your business relies on that medium of communication?
C) This is a GLOBAL issue faced by every BB user? Oh Yes I already did some research on the BB Support Forums and everywhere else.
D) Since my Blackberry model is 8520 aka. SmartPhone which is an understatement? SmartPhone I mean come on ? Its a Dumb Phone that cant detect Email Folders!
C) I don't want to pile up my other emails by using a solution which youre about to say -> Forward your email to another email address Inbox! Or asking me to upgrade my Hotmail?
D) Gmail works perfectly under this scenario, ie. I also use Gmail thanks to my conscience I can successfully receive all emails even if they are sorted or filtered into Folders!
E) Should we urge to ask Uncle Billy to modify Hotmail so that this work on everyones BB? Sure that would be fun but I think he's too busy!
So, the Answer I can predict with my super powers is -> Either NONE you wont respond at all! or this post might get deleted because of the nature of this issue being over reacted upon or you will say "Sorry we are working on that since our Programmers, Technicians and Engineers goofed up big time, but hopefully we will be able to fix it in the next BB so you should throw this one as soon as a new one arrives and make another Dumb purchase of a Dumb Phone !
