Im having problem setting up my Hotmail account, it used to work fine until few days ago. It says ive entered an incorrect username or password which i can sign in fine with them details if i use laptop or safari through the phone.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
I cant seem to set up my emails on the phone it wants me to activate my enterprise account, I dont know what this is, all I want to do is set up my hotmail account with the phone but there is not an option to do this.

The settings I'm using are :
Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?
I have had my phone for ages and all of a sudden it will not connect to my work gmail account. It's telling me my user name or password is incorrect and even thought I make sure, shut the phone down and restart it, it still says the same. When I delete and try to set it up again it tells me can not connect to imap?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought this phone approximately 2 months ago. The dealer claimed the phone was new but upon usgae of the phone everyday, I began to believe otherwise. I have a full 4G internet plan on my phone and when I tried to setup my email for the first time, I was unable to access the option on my phone. Everytime I selected "setup internet mail account" , nothing happened. It was like the option didn't exist.Upon calling my service provider, I was informed that someone had my phone before and had their plan on it and it somehow blocked my ability to setup or change the previous email options and that it can only be accessed if I get the email address of the previous user, which is impossible because I bought it thinking it was new without any previous records. I tried everything! Factory restore etc! Nothing works because the option is somehow disabled. Is it possible to somehow rectify this situation? There must be some history attached to the PIN of this phone.

Ive type in my name and password correctly numerous times. Ive even tried 2 different gmail accounts, yet i keep geting the same response. All my other email accounts work find but my gmail doesnt. I have now created a new email account, but am unable to set it up on my blackberry. On the setup menu it still has my old email address and asks for the password, which I type in but as the accounts deactivated doesn't connect! View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.
