i am a first time blackberry user, and im loving it. i was just wondering why in all the videos on Internet show a personal e-mail and a company email setting to choise from, when im only giving the company e-mail one, and not the personal one. my blackberry curve 9300 3g is up to date on the os and stuff.

I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.

I have a new-to-me device, after my original Curve 8530 had to be sent back to the carrier. I restored old settings from a backup re Desktop Manager, but now there are messaging problems. One, my setup folder doesn't have an e-mail setup option. Two, in "Email Reconciliation" option, only chloice I have is to change the e-mail account on "Message Services" drop-down. Related to that, if I'm in "messages," my Options screen lacks "Reconcile Now."
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

Tried with a phone of same model, same error. Tried with a phone of different model, was able to log in.
Prior to this has been using my phone sending and receiving email from the hotmail account without any problem.
Finally got an answer from a technician at Windows mobile / hotmail. They are redirecting me to this page for support. They tell me that there is a compatibility problem between hotmail and the BlackBerry software. They state that the problem rests with BlackBerry and not them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to reset or retrieve my hotmail password.the setup was easy.but I wanted to change the signature at the bottom of my emails.I managed to do that and set that a copy of the email will be sent to my bb email add everytime I sent one from my hotmail add.it become very annoying though lol.now I want to change it bt it keeps telling me that I must verify my account information.the address is right so it has to be the password.I have tried everything I think I would use and what I normally use bt it doesn't work.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to the Blackberry Curve 9360 from a previous Curve model. I used my hotmail account as the primary account on my old blackberry with no issues. Now when I send an email from my blackberry / hotmail account, the signature either gives my my name twice followed by </div> or if i delete my name from the signature, the resulkt is that i just get the </div> appended to the bottom of my email.
I have searched for a solution to this problem, activation and deactivating HTML etc, but to no avail. Is there something I can do to get this resolved?

The e-mail account and Blackberry seem to reconcile well except for changes I make to the e-mail account on my PC. These changes are not reconciling with the Blackberry.So, if I read or delete e-mails from the BB, this shows up on the PC. But if I read or delete e-mails on the PC, this is not reflected on the phone. The BB does, however, receive e-mails from this account.I also have another e-mail account connected (Outlook) which is working perfectly.I have searched through the options and can't find anything that looks like it will resolve the issue.

The information you provided is incorrect." message.I even changed my password again to see if the new password was the problem, but no joy.

I have a little envolope with a number at the top of my screen, when i click on the star envolopes in the menu, there are no emails showing. I have set it up as I was told, but still can not recieve my emails. However, I still cannot send or receive my emais and when I try to send it comes up with an error message: 'User account is in INVALID mode'. I did change my hotmail password the other day; don't know if this is of importance. In addition, I have tried to modify the email account set up on my blackberry but it will not allow me to access the current account settings or allow me to add a new account, the option just doesn't exist or appear, which had not been an issue up until now. I could, however, set up an enterprise account if wanted. I am not sure who to contact about this so thought I'd post here first...
