Feb 18, 2010I have Nokia Messaging installed which I use primarily with my gmail account. While experimenting with adding accounts, I inadvertantly added two ovi.com accounts to the preinstalled "Messaging" application. One is listed as ovi.com and the other is listed as ovi.com01. There seems to be no way to delete or undo those accounts on the phone. At the very least, I wish to delete the ovi.com01. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include reformatting the phone? I really don't have the time or patience for that. I've already put way too much time in removing AT&T crapware and rearranging program folders/icons.

Aug 15, 2012I have been given a Blackberry Curve 8900 today for my new job. I have a work's email which works fine, and I have also set it up to receive my Hotmail emails as well. However, whilst my work emails go into my works mailbox, my hotmail ones seem to go to my hotmail mailbox & my works mailbox! Obviously I would rather keep business seperate from personal so is there a way that I stop my hotmail from going to both mailboxes?

Jan 13, 2010I had my home network setup sweet for a while but then my phone started dropping the connection like crazy. One second I could go to a webpage and then the next it would say WLAN not found. Keep in mind this was literally 10cm from the wireless router.Now at work I tried connecting to the WLAN after following a very comprehensive guide put together by our IT department with all the required details. I also downloaded the required certificate and opened it (selecting all 3 of the options that come up, whatever they were).Another person at work has the E65 and they connected fine. I have attached the settings I used in case you can spot something wrong.

I cannot seem to connect to the Internet via WLAN. Does this version of the E72 come with Wifi at all?And also, does anyone know whether the Topaz Brown colour comes with an English keypad (North American), without the Chinese symbol strokes on the keys? But after connecting i was unable to access any sites as it gave error: invalid server name. Ive tried at Mumbai Airport as well, but still the same error. I tried many different site but still the same error. Also sometime when i try some sites after connecting to WLAN, it prompts to connect via GPRS which should not be the case I believe. Both GPRS and WLAN are different. How do I access Internet via W-fi and not with the GPRS.

Feb 7, 2012I have just updated to Nokia Belle and I am having a few issues with Nokia Store (as are a number of other people by the looks of it).
Although I have correctly set up my access points (the update wiped them) and have selected my wifi as the access point with the highest priority, Nokia Store is refusing to connect via WLAN and is giving the warning "mobile data off - no connections made" (this is with mobile data turned off and Wifi on), clearly there is something that is preventing the app using this access point and is sticking to Mobile data only. I have re-installed the program to no avail.
I can still access Nokia Store via my O2 wap access point (priority 2) however as some of the apps I will need to reinstall are quite large I want to do this via Wifi.My browser works correctly through Wifi as does Ovi music. I have tried setting the browser to ask which access point I want to use, however to no avail.Out of interest the other programs that I have noticed do not work like Nokia Store (Mobile data turned off and Wifi turned on) are Shazaam and Weather. Not sure if there is a link.

Sep 10, 2010Models having the problem: Nokia E71, E72 Basically, Ovi Store keeps on Loading for sometime then gives me an error of "Unable to connect to Server". This only happens whenever i choose a WLAN connection. However it works fine on packet data connection.I was able to resolve this on my E71 with a workaround, by editing the access point information, and changing the data carrier of my WLAN to Packet data so my phone sees my WLAN as a packet data connection. I tried doing the same on my E72, but it didnt allow me to change the data carrier field.This problem prevents me from enjoying Ovi Store, because Packet data connectivity is more expensive than WLAN here in Saudi Arabia.it seems that many are experiencing the same problem and Many are suggesting to reset and format the phone or re-installing ovi store, but I will not be doing trial and error on my phone which can result in losing valuable data.it seems that Nokia has not provided a cure for this, and I am seriously looking into leaving Nokia for good, till they come up with more reliable and creative phones and services.It seems that Competition has blinded nokia about Quality which me and many others are missing lately.

Mar 17, 2010My 5530XM is acting up again (v.11 firmware). The symptoms are random disconnects from WLAN and, after doing a soft reset, unable to put shortcuts on the home screen (using the Shortcuts theme). I really think the problem is with the memory card because I can't turn the phone on with the card inside.
Is there a way to scan/repair problems with the memory card? I really, really want to avoid a hard reset. Last time I did that, I lost all my apps from the memory card (I have the Games Edition). I can try using PC Suite or Ovi Suite to back up my memory card apps, but I don't trust the suites that much. What I'd like to do is drag and drop my memory card apps to another location in my PC, but I cannot see the memory card apps in Windows Explorer.

But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?

Jul 26, 2010I have had the device for about 3 months and I have never had problems sending emails before, however over the last 3 days when I try and send an email it just sits in my outbox and then after a while it says failed. I receive emails fine so this is baffling me. I've noticed a similar problem was addressed however that is specific to getting an error 500 message and I don't get that. I tried the work through anyway but it still didn't solve the issue.

Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

My principal problem: It successfully installs, although when I setup an email - it gets placed in the messaging folder. It does not look anything like the image attached. Rather, I access my email through the messaging / SMS folder directory. The version of Nokia Messaging is 9.07 from the messaging.nokia.com website. Has anyone had success in setting up the email client?
I have tried several setting, and changed my default email setting to "Nokia Messaging". Furthermore, when I select the "@" icon for Nokia Messaging (Not the Install Icon) - I am asked for a password? What password would that be? I am slightly lost? Any pointers. Right Now, we are ready to just uninstall the Messaging Client completely.

Jun 16, 2010Basically, I can't change my messaging centre name or number, can't delete it, can't change it, can't make a new messaging centre "profile". I have:
Restored the factory settings.Contacted my network.When contacting my network (o2), I was told to try resetting the factory settings and if this didn't work, try the sim card in a different (unlocked) phone to see if I could send text messages. After trying it in my old phone I found I could send messages, so I called my network back and was told to contact Nokia.
When trying to change the messaging centre (Even with NO sim card in the phone) I get the following error message:
"Unable to change setting. Value read from SIM card".

Feb 11, 2010Since downloading the new Nokia Messaging client 10.2.0.4 (Main) on my N97 Mini (11.0.045) it refuses to sync with my gmail account (it worked prior to downloading the new client via Software update on the phone).
I've tried changing the "When to Sync" setting to soonest or 15 mins etc but that makes no difference.If I change the access point it will open a connection (which it wont have done until this point) but still no sync. It never seems to close the connection, unless the phone is rebooted.Anyone have the new messaging client working ?

Jun 18, 2012my BB: 9900 OS: 7.1 Bundle 1424 using BB Businese Cloud Service for connecting my Microsoft 365 email.I have problem after upgraded my BB 9900 OS from 7.0 to 7.1 since 14 June.
Once I active my email in BB after upgrade to OS 7.1.The email send/receive is ok after active, but the email in my mailbox which older than activation time, never download to my BB.Besides, the delete folder never sync with my mailbox, always empty, which my mailbox have many deleted email in delete folder.
And the send/receive of my BB is very unstable in my BB last few days, it will delay receive and fail to send, need resend again and again, I checked with local mobile service provider.They confirmed nothing wrong with their network, the problem only happen in BB Cloud service.
IPhone 5 :: Exchange Mailbox Unable To Get Mail - IOS 7
Jun 30, 2014I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox on iphone 5 running iOS7. After entering the proper parameters, I receive error "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."
I know the server parameters are correct because I have entered the exact same parameters for another users mailbox and mail loads perfectly fine on the iPhone. I dont believe the issue lies with the parameters but maybe the individual mailboxes? Are there settings on our exchange server i should be comparing between the mailboxes to determine why one mailbox loads fine while the other does not?
Could it be an issue with iOS 7 ? Is there a guide or something that will show how the users mailbox settings should be set on exchange 2010?
I verified the device shows up when i log into the users OWA account > Mobile Phones, but still unable to load mail. There are no other devices in the mobile phones section so there shouldnt be a limit issue. Â
