Nokia :: Unable To Send Emails Via Messaging
Jul 26, 2010I have had the device for about 3 months and I have never had problems sending emails before, however over the last 3 days when I try and send an email it just sits in my outbox and then after a while it says failed. I receive emails fine so this is baffling me. I've noticed a similar problem was addressed however that is specific to getting an error 500 message and I don't get that. I tried the work through anyway but it still didn't solve the issue.

Feb 22, 2010I am unable to add my Yahoo email account using the Nokia Messaging Mobile Email <https://netac72.vie.hosting.nokia.com/account/home.action> I was able to use it before and I canceled my subscription in yahoo because I signed up a new subscription using my Gmail account and it works with the Gmail. however, when I try to add another email account again which is my yahoo mail, it won't work with my yahoo mail anymore. Where using the Nokia Messaging you can add up to 10 email accounts. When I click the button that says ADD ANOTHER, it will lead you to the page where you ad your other email accounts and that email add must already exist, but after i fill up the box typing the correct existing yahoo email add, my correct yahoo password, and after clicking NEXT button, it just doesn't get across. the error shows "This email address must be added on the phone". So, i added my yahoo mail on my phone using the Email setting wizard on my Nokia E72 with the correct email ad and password. After adding it on my phone, I tried to do it again on the Nokia messaging Site and did it all over agin. And still it won't work on my yahoo. I still get the same ERROR!

Mar 30, 2010I have recently downloaded the new version of Nokia Messaging for the E71. My principal problem: It successfully installs, although when I setup an email - it gets placed in the messaging folder. It does not look anything like the image attached. Rather, I access my email through the messaging / SMS folder directory. The version of Nokia Messaging is 9.07 from the messaging.nokia.com website. Has anyone had success in setting up the email client?
I have tried several setting, and changed my default email setting to "Nokia Messaging". Furthermore, when I select the "@" icon for Nokia Messaging (Not the Install Icon) - I am asked for a password? What password would that be? I am slightly lost? Any pointers. Right Now, we are ready to just uninstall the Messaging Client completely.

Jun 16, 2010Basically, I can't change my messaging centre name or number, can't delete it, can't change it, can't make a new messaging centre "profile". I have:
Restored the factory settings.Contacted my network.When contacting my network (o2), I was told to try resetting the factory settings and if this didn't work, try the sim card in a different (unlocked) phone to see if I could send text messages. After trying it in my old phone I found I could send messages, so I called my network back and was told to contact Nokia.
When trying to change the messaging centre (Even with NO sim card in the phone) I get the following error message:
"Unable to change setting. Value read from SIM card".

Feb 11, 2010Since downloading the new Nokia Messaging client 10.2.0.4 (Main) on my N97 Mini (11.0.045) it refuses to sync with my gmail account (it worked prior to downloading the new client via Software update on the phone).
I've tried changing the "When to Sync" setting to soonest or 15 mins etc but that makes no difference.If I change the access point it will open a connection (which it wont have done until this point) but still no sync. It never seems to close the connection, unless the phone is rebooted.Anyone have the new messaging client working ?

May 2, 2010I have a Nokia E71 just update to the firmware 410.21.010. I did not recovered backup after the upgrade and I formatted the memory card, so it's completely clean.
Now, Nokia Email has appear as new included application so I would like to use it, but when I configure my email account (form a supported services: ovi, gmail, etc...), the wizard only configures my mobile for the typical IMAP client. It's strange, because I have a different E71 also update to this same firmare and Nokia Messaging works fine and creates the Nokia Messaging account.How could use Nokia Messaging with my E71?. Is there some way to create a Nokia Messaging account form the web instead from the phone?.
Nokia :: 5230 Unable To Install Update - Says "Unable To Find Device"
May 20, 2010I'm having a problem when trying to update my Nokia 5230 using the Nokia Suite.Please note; my phone is plugged in, there is an update for my phone as the last time it was updated was when it made manufactured (nov 09). The USB mode is on 'PC suite'. I have downloaded all the latest versions of the Nokia Suite.
When I click 'Update Phone Software", it takes me to the updater. When it comes to the 'Searching for a connected device', it hands for about 1-2 minutes, then says "Unable to find device".

Jul 25, 2010Unsure if this problem is the same as other threads but here goes:
The podcasting app from URL...doesn't want to install on my E70; it objects with "Expired certificate".I've tried with the certificate verification both enabled & disabled in the Installer plus also allowing unsigned apps to install.This is the only app that won't install on my device - I have a dozen others including Opera, Google Maps and all the std Nokia ones like SMS Accelerator & Zip Manager.
Is this really a certificate issue or does my E70 have it's knickers in a twist? If it's a question of getting an updated cert' then how do I do this?If someone from Nokia is able to respond that'd be great - perhaps they can vouch for the following app: URL...

Feb 24, 2010I bought a new E55 unlocked.I have a problem with it, i am only able to install j2me but cant install any sisx apps.ive tried downloading new ones e.g. from www.fring.com for my OS directly on the phone and also gmaps, stright from the phone browser but all in vain it gives an error "Unable to install" i checked the settings in App manager and set it to all software installation and online check is desabled, tried to install again, no victory, same error. tried to update firmware to this new version from pc, it failed, halted the ongoing update then tried OTA , it succeeded but the version it updated it to is 022.009 and not the latest tried software installation again, got the same error my mind is boggled as to what is going on any ideas guys.Ps: i went into *#0000# and then into options and update still gets the 022.009 version my variant is "asia pacific" region.

Jan 21, 2010I can't install the new ovi maps version 3.03 on my 5800XM (firmware version 31.0.101). installation is always aborted by "unknown error: -5", when i retry installation my mobile says 3.03 is already installed, but when i check the version-number it shows 3.01 (maybe it's interesting that nokia maps updater didn't find any updates.)

Jul 15, 2010Ever since I updated my Nokia 5230 software from version 10.xxx to 12.xxx to 20.xxx and yesterday to 21.xxx, I'm have not been able to install any sis/sisx theme onto my mobile and have also checked the application installation settings. Its goes through the entire installation and finally reads "No Access Unable to Install" finally when i remove the memory card and put it onto my frnd's Nokia E71 / 72 and install it to the memory it goes through and i'm able to use the theme. I've downloaded these themes from non-Nokia sources but expect support as both my frnd and me updated software yesterday to 21.xxxx for my 5230 and 31.xxx for his E72. He able to install themes but i'm not. Enclosed is the snap shot of the same. Couldn't get better than this Pls help expecting and early reply

Dec 31, 2010Nokia e63.I was able to download n use apps for 2 days and phone restarted and the apps dissappeared. Now whn i try downloading them again eg ebuddy, apps frm ovi then after download, its says unable to install. It does for all software downloads. May 28, 2011I'm having a lot of trouble getting any Nokia software to work on my PC.(This was the same for my previous Nokia 2730.)The first time I connected my N8-00 to my PC, running Windows Vista 32, my PC worked out it was an N8-00 and a window appeared asking me to confirm AutoPlay settings - there was a checkbox (which I checked), but no OK button.
I could go to Start > Computer and see the N8-00 there though.I opened the device and found the Ovi Suite Installer and tried to run that (because the downloaded version didn't work either - I'll start another thread about my troubles with Ovi Suite) but it didn't work.I then removed the phone from my PC.Now whenever I connect my phone to my PC Windows tries to install the N8-00 drivers and fails, giving me these messages:
