I am getting a replacement 8530 for my current 8530 because my trackpad is off centered and recently I am now able to move it around. However, how do I put stuff on the new one? I use blackberry desktop manager, and click "Backup" and it backs up. When I connect the new one do I just click "Restore"? Also when I back up, the tab for contacts is grayed out and I CANNOT click it. So I wont be able to restore that, why?

I'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

I am trying to switch from a Sprint 8330 to an At&T 8310. For some reason many of the apps don't transfer and I cannot transfer the contacts - Using the backup I tried to restore the address book from the 8330 to the 8310 bu is showing this as read only - I am assuming this has do to with the fact the the sprint system is not GSm and does not store the contacts on the SIM card (no card exists).
I lost my blackberry curve and am using the exact same one my sister let me barrow. How do I transfer the contacts and calendar items from my backup on my computer to the new blackberry?
I just got a curve 8330 from a friend and had the service switched to it from my LG voyager today. Went to the Verizon store and they were unable to transfer my contacts. The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.
