Jun 28, 2010So i had an old gmail account and all my contacts were synced with that one and so then i deleted that one and created a new gmail so now that im trying to sync my gmail contacts with my new gmail it wont let me it just syncs new contacts that i add not the ones that have been on my phone and in each contacts it says "synchronized with: (my old gmail)" and i wanted to know how i can change the old gmail sync with my new gmail sync i've also tried google sync and that doesnt work at all either so i would appreciate some help with this problem.

Jan 7, 2010I'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

May 11, 2010Verizon BB8530. And Desktop 5.0. BB8530 has all the updates.Had a 8320 maybe and lost it recently.Running Vista on the laptop and everthing seemed to work before I lost the old phone.Now I am trying to download all my information and contacts into the BB8530. All my files seem to have downloaded except the contacts.I get an error message stating something to the effect that my files are set for/to a wireless and will not transfer. I am new to all this so. For some reason many of the apps don't transfer and I cannot transfer the contacts - Using the backup I tried to restore the address book from the 8330 to the 8310 bu is showing this as read only - I am assuming this has do to with the fact the the sprint system is not GSm and does not store the contacts on the SIM card (no card exists).

Nov 24, 2011Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.
