View 2 RepliesI have a 8520 and recently updated my software. After I did this my email envelope has disappeared. I have replaced my original settings and nothing. I do receive emails but in the general message envelope.
View 11 Replies View RelatedEach time my phone has to restart or reboot, my email icon which is AOL(green envelope w/ a blue AOL/logo @ bottom of envelope) disappears and the standard icon appears in home screen. Before to get it back, i go to email setup and delete it then add it back, then AOL icon returns. Now doing it the same way, my green AOL icon does not return anymore! just the standard one, can anybody help on how to get it back? Please!!Thanks!!
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen i compose an email on the curve 8520, the send option doesnt appear, but does so when i reply to or reply all to any sent email. i did the pull battery reboot and restarted the handset. still no luck.
the phone is a month old and this problem appeared since yesterday !
I bought a used 8530 for my Verizon service. When going through setup the phone only gives me the option of setting up email with a Blackberry email account. On my old Blackberry Pearl I was allowed to setup Gmail in the same page. What do I need to do to get Gmail setup and running?I was told that it may take a few hours for the data stuff to kick in from Verizon. Does that have anything to do with not being able to set up Gmail? I do have a Blackberry data plan.
View 9 Replies View RelatedBrand new 8520 on vodafone PAYG UK. email setup wizard says select option "I want to create or add an email address" but the only option available is "I want to use a work email............" which I don't. Have not setup WIFI yet could this be the cause?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a pearl for a few years and just upgraded to the curve a few days ago. The problem is I can't reply to emails. After I receive an email I can select reply and type in my response. I then press the menu key and the only options that come up are "help, save draft, flag, Add to:, Add CC,,etc" I can fwd the email and I can send a new email. For some reason I can reply with my hotmail account no problem but not with my gmail account. This all worked fine on my pearl.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with my Curve 8530, for some reason I cant forward email to another email address, it is not displaying the "Send" option on the menu I also noticed that before when I used to start typing an email address the phone used to give me all the names with the first few letters but I don't get that anymore. I didn't make any changes to my emails accounts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am receiving emails just fine. When trying to forward, I merely hit the blackberry key and forward comes up with other options. I scroll to forward and then it wants the email address I want to forward to. After entering the email address, no matter which key I hit, Blackberry key or scroll button, I only get two choices...."Save Draft" and "Full Menu". I then click on Full Menu and there is no option to "send."

Suddenly a week ago my email and messenger stopped working. I am connected to my home wifi and use O2 data plan otherwise.I did a battery pull to no effect.I rang the O2 helplne twice and they talked me through various operations but couldnt solve the problem. Eventually they said that as it was purchased in London (it was a gift but I have the receipt), I needed to return it to the shop as it was a BB problem. Not so easy as I live in the west of Ireland. If I go to Email settings it says "Your device had a problem connecting to the server".In Service Status - it says BB Internet Service Connection: Not connected BB Enterprise Server Connection: Not connected.Text messaging works fine. Browser works fine too and obviously I can access my email from here but that is major hassle.

I am using a Blackberry curve 8520 and Orange (UK) is my network and I am using the latest OS 5.0The reason I am posting is after a attempted OS upgrade that went wrong (I can't remember exactly what the problem was) I had to restore my phone to it's default OS and then attempt the upgrade again (second time worked).Anyway somewhere during this my phone lost any MMS ability. There isn't even an MMS option in the settings anymore or an option to send MMS in messages.

Does anyone know how I can retrieve the icon?
I recently took charge of a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that after I had linked it to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock was removed from the menu. I've looked in the obvious places in Options to try and re-instate the icon but can't seem to see anywhere which allow me to do ths. I've also searched for hidden items but nothing seems to be hidden.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas an update been made available to os5.0.0.681 to allow us to add to contacts from unknown sms senders?Tired of doing it the long way around when I have at least 30 business enquiries hitting my phone all day.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOkay, I got a new Blackberry Curve 8530, and it's the first Blackberry I've had. I changed the style of my SMS messaging from bubbles to stripes, and now it won't change back. I can go into the options, and change it and save the changes, but it stays the same. It will even say that it's set to bubbles, but it doesn't change the look of it. I know it's not a huge deal, but it bothers me, and I was wondering if it's a user error, or something is up with my Blackberry.
