Jun 28, 2012I have a software version 5.0 bundle on my celfone then I install GPSLogger, after installing it the GPSLogger wont work on this version 5.0 it to run only on Version 4.6.1 only, then I downgrade my software version to 4.6.1 but I dont like the version 4.6.1 then I upgrade it agisn to Version 5.0, but I cant upgrade it, always keep mee asking that this software is for users with an active Black Berry Subscription, To learn more about BlackBerry service, [url].... What does It mean? I already get Blackberry ID so that everytime I update some software to Appliaction World, what will I do or what what is the best thing to do to I get back to Version 5.0?

Aug 3, 2010Ever since I downloaded something like "Blackberry OS version 5" from the web, and updated my device using the desktop manager, I have been unable to download new apps.Somehow I managed to get BBM back on -- the phone would have been useless otherwise -- but no more apps will get downloaded.Everything seems to work, whether I download via the web, or use desktop manager to install the apps, there are no errors and it says it worked -- but there is no icon for the app in any of the folders.For example, BB App world: The desktop manager says it is installed, but it's not accessible because there is no icon anywhere.My carrier say they can't help me any further as it's a device issue.I have got "show all" on, so the icons are definitely not hidden.I have tried a battery pull dozens of times.I have tried a backup using desktop manager, then factory reset the device, then restored -- several times.I have tried uninstalling the apps through desktop manager and installing them again.I don't understand what settings are supposed to be changed after I do a factory reset and restore from backup.

I can find the software to upgrade via desktop manager but i want to deploy this through our BES 5.0.1 also I have BES 4.16 which i am migrating the users onto the new BES via the transporter tool, but i've found our IT Policy creates issues with device version 4.3 and needs to be reactivated when migration is complete. So i would also like to upgrade the devices on the old BES before migrated them across.
So is there a way of upgrading a device version from BES 4.1.6 if so could you also provide instructions? Is there any issues when upgrading device versions? would i need to resend the service book? it policy? re-activation?

Nov 20, 2011Iam a BlackBerry Bold 9780 user and my current device software is 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546) using Blackberry desktop Software version 6.1.0.35 for windows pc. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is a unlocked phone using vodafone network at Mumbai India.
I recently installed new official release O.S 6 device update v6.0.0.668 meant for Bold 9780.But when i connected my phone through desktop manager and check for update the desktop manager is unable to find new installed device software on my windows pc. But when i check the supported resources in the desktop manager the new o.s version installed reflects as New installed BlackBerry Software.
I would like to know why current desktop software or manager for my Bold 9780 phone is unable to find new official released device o.s software..I have been able to update my device o.s version when installed on a earlier desktop sofware installed on my windows pc.
