IPhone :: 4S Keeps Asking To Upgrade To ITunes Version 10.5?
Mar 23, 2012
It keeps asking me to update to iTunes version 10.5, I did so for my computer as well as the iPhone. But after that, when I plugged in the iPhone to the computer, it asked the same question again.
So, the mobileme deadliner is approaching and I need to upgrade my 3GS to iOS 5 and my imac to LION. I've sorted out the iweb histing via another server (phew) and have tried to upgrade to iOS 5 via itunes (10.6.1) but the message I get is that my iphone software is 4.2.1 and is the current version.
After attempting to upgrade software for my iphone 4s via itunes, the upgrade failed and my phone froze with a picture of an usb plug.I even uninstalled security on my computer.
I'm using version 4.3.5 on my iPhone 4, each time when I connect my iPhone 4 with iTunes, I was informed that IOS 5.0.1 is ready for my upgrate. I couldn't finish the updating for each time I download to around 2xxMB, the connection stop.
an iPhone 4s is given to me as a present. how do i upgrade it from version 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 without it being locked. how do i know it an unlocked iPhone?
My iPhone 3gs is stuck in that mode where I can't get pass the white Apple logo even after several hard reboots (holding down the power and bottom center button. After a reboot the white apple logo appears and then it just goes away.I figured out how to get the phone to into recovery mode so that iTunes can do a restore, but I am getting the message that says "Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone to its factory settings" All of your media and other data will be erased and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed.
Is there any way to do a restore without allowing my iPhone's software to be upgraded to the newest version of iPhone software? I have 3.0 and want to keep it because I use my phone to tether. During the restore phase is there a way to cancel the portion of it that attempts to upgrade my software to the latest software?
I am trying to download the latest iTunes software, but I can't because I cannot locate the old version of iTunes. How can I work around this without losing all the songs in my current library?
I used to make my ringtones from the AAC version in itunes but with the new update you cant anymore? Can anybody tell me how I can put ringtones on it now?
When I connect the iPhone to the PC the PC makes a sound as though it recognizes something being connected to the PC however even Windows does not show the iPhone as connected.
I updated itunes to the version 10. whatever then updated my jailbroken iphone 3Gs to IOS 5 that i use for T mobile and i followed all the steps it gave me and now it doesnt read my SIM card or anything!!
I have synced my IPhone 3GS to the newest iTunes version to get IMessage, it worked for a while but now it doesn't work and I have tried resyncing my phone but it still doesn't work.
Changes to playlists on my iphone are not syncing to I-tunes on new version. The new music purchases I make on my i-phone sync, but not the playlist additions/deletions. Once I sync the i-pnone to itunes, my phone's playlist is replace with what the playlist setup previously in I-tunes. I keep getting generic responses from support.
Ever since I upgraded to itunes 11.2.2, I am unable to sync/backup my iphone4, the sync goes only half way through and than it crashes right before "Transfering purchases".
I'm trying to upgrade my iphone software to version 5.1.1 and I receive an error message (-5000) telling me an error occured while backing up my iphone. What's my next step?
I am conidering buying a used PowerBook G4/1.5ghz 15' and I wondering if it will allow me to synce my iPhone with iTunes and if so, what version should i download & what is the highest OS I should upgrade too?
I got an new old stock iPhone4 from a relative a couple of days ago and am now trying to set it up. Everything went smoothly until I tried connecting it to the computer. When I hook it up, iTunes tells me that the iPhone will only work with iTunes 11.1 or later versions. I have a Macbook Pro (not too old, Duocore, 4Gb Ram, etc.) with MacOS X 10.5.8. Apparently I can't install iTunes 11.1 or any later version on my operating system and I really don't want to upgrade to a new operating system just for my iPhone. Is there any way to sync my iPhone to iTunes without buying anything additional?
I updated my iPhone to the latest version (7 point something) but my iTunes no longer recognizes the phone when I connect it via USB. The iPhone permanently shows the connect to iTunes logo but does nothing when I do connect it. I'm using a Windows PC as the platform. When I open Devices in Control Panel, there's a small yellow exclamation mark icon next to the Driver, it says in recovery mode...Â
I cant reboot the phone because the Home button is bust.Â
At this point I'd be happy if I could simply get the phone to work properly again - even if that means I have to use the old iOS.Â
I've tested the USB cable and its working 100%Â
I've updated iTunes but that didn't workÂ
I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes but that didn't workÂ
I've followed several apple support steps which didn't workÂ
