After a reboot the white apple logo appears and then it just goes away.I figured out how to get the phone to into recovery mode so that iTunes can do a restore, but I am getting the message that says "Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone to its factory settings" All of your media and other data will be erased and the newest version of the iPhone software will be installed.
Is there any way to do a restore without allowing my iPhone's software to be upgraded to the newest version of iPhone software? I have 3.0 and want to keep it because I use my phone to tether. During the restore phase is there a way to cancel the portion of it that attempts to upgrade my software to the latest software?

I can find the software to upgrade via desktop manager but i want to deploy this through our BES 5.0.1 also I have BES 4.16 which i am migrating the users onto the new BES via the transporter tool, but i've found our IT Policy creates issues with device version 4.3 and needs to be reactivated when migration is complete. So i would also like to upgrade the devices on the old BES before migrated them across.
So is there a way of upgrading a device version from BES 4.1.6 if so could you also provide instructions? Is there any issues when upgrading device versions? would i need to resend the service book? it policy? re-activation?

Nov 20, 2011Iam a BlackBerry Bold 9780 user and my current device software is 6.0 Bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546) using Blackberry desktop Software version 6.1.0.35 for windows pc. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is a unlocked phone using vodafone network at Mumbai India.
I recently installed new official release O.S 6 device update v6.0.0.668 meant for Bold 9780.But when i connected my phone through desktop manager and check for update the desktop manager is unable to find new installed device software on my windows pc. But when i check the supported resources in the desktop manager the new o.s version installed reflects as New installed BlackBerry Software.
I would like to know why current desktop software or manager for my Bold 9780 phone is unable to find new official released device o.s software..I have been able to update my device o.s version when installed on a earlier desktop sofware installed on my windows pc.
