I have tried to update my blackberry by going on options>advanced options>wireless update. But when I cheek for updates there seem to be no updates available, when my current version os 4.6.1.314. Is there any way I can update to v5 ?

My daughters both have 9300's One is running on 6.0 2949 the other 9300 will not let me upgrade from 5.0 1399. When I plug phone into PC and check for updates I get message saying no Blackberry updates
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 9360 and I go though t-mobile. I have been trying to download the latest update to BBM and it won't download. I click on the "upgrade" button, it says please wait, then nothing. It does the same for the app world update. I've spoken to my carrier and they say it's something on rim's side that they can't fix. Everything else on the phone is working just fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated.On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've only just noticed this today but a part of my screen doesn't respond to my touch. Weird as it's only in a specific area, just to the right of the centre through to the top of the screen. The rest of the touchscreen works perfectly fine. I've ran the touchscreen test via diagnostics and the line I draw breaks whenever I go through that area of the screen. This is getting annoying as I've just sent it off for repairs 3 weeks ago for a faulty headphone jack.

So the weirdest thing is when I try to search for available updates, It would start a search but then stop. No window prompt saying whether there's a new update or no update available.
I tried clearing the cache partition, resetting the phone. But no luck. It'll just search and then stop.
I start going through the update. I do a backup of everything I have and open the PC Companion, then do the update. It downloads and installs the update, then tells me to turn on my phone.when I turn it back on, it's the same thing.

View 7 Replies View Relatedwhy does W395 has no software supports? The phone is really slow,and most of the jar(*.jar)files doesn't support the phone. The phone doesn't support multi tasking either,i tried call recording and got this message that it doesn't support multitasking.
The phone is cute and all but with no software support and being really slow,its a real pain. I hope sony ericsson team comes up with a software update for this model. I'm really looking forward to it. The phone also supports motion gaming and it would be nice if the site provided some games supporting this feature.
Does hard resetting the phone resets software updates as well...

This was because when synching to my laptop, the device manager software indicated updates available. I've previously upgraded to v5.0 no problem.However, during the update, a very aptly named "fatal error" occurred. my Bberry is now UNUSABLE! The LED is flashing red (twice, then pause, repeatedly).I've removed the battery - to no avail!

1. Removed phone from windowsphone.com
2. Did a factory reset on phone
3. Told it to do a new phone from scratch not restore backup
4. Went through all the setup screens reconnected to MS account
5. Phone was reset up on windowsphone.com
Just started doing this like 2 days ago while I was in the middle of updates.
I'm already expecting that someone will tell me to restore, but I'd rather actually fix it. Is there even any way to find out why this is happening?
If I was to unlock my bootloader and root my phone, should I still grab ota updates?

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen i try to update my apps, i click on the app i want updated. i then click on update. the update begins to download, and everything is fine. but when the update is finished it does not install. instead, as soon as it is downloaded i will get a loading icon in the middle of my screen then my blackberry turns off and reboots. this happens with every app, and also happens when i check for OS updates.

I have tried the desktop software about a million times, it keeps saying no updates available. I've tried using the app loader. Nothing. I've tried downloading the specific 5.0 software for AT&T BB Curve 8520. App loader says it is incompatible with the device.

I have also tried doing it OTA style. The damn thing says there's no updates available on this either.I've been reading through just about every OS 5 thread I could get my hands on and nothing has made this process work.
I changed my number because I moved, and now I am not receiving email or facebook updates. I can "send" emails etc but nothing comes to my phone. What do I need to do to fix this?
