I start going through the update. I do a backup of everything I have and open the PC Companion, then do the update. It downloads and installs the update, then tells me to turn on my phone.when I turn it back on, it's the same thing.

2. Did a factory reset on phone
3. Told it to do a new phone from scratch not restore backup
4. Went through all the setup screens reconnected to MS account
5. Phone was reset up on windowsphone.com
I have a question. Let's say I want to do a factory reset or system repair and I want to back up my apps and my data via the Back Up and Restore, will my apps AND the data on it be restored? Because the previous times I did a factory reset on my Z and backed up data, it didn't have a lot of effect, because I still had to re-download all the apps and lost all the data (except if gaming data was stored on Google Play)

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got a new iPhone 4 the other day. I was charging the phone and it fell, only a couple feet at most. There is a small crack in the back of the phone now, and it won't turn on anymore. My friend has a iPhone 4 as well and we swapped out the battery and the back housing (just to make sure that the crack didnt short anything out) but the symptoms persist.
I have it plugged into the wall charger now, tried doing a hard reset (holding home and power for some time) but nothing. This is very frustrating to think that the iPhone 4 is this fragile. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try to get this device back up and running? Any help at all would be very appreciated.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had Xperia Z2 for almost two months now, today when I was at work I noticed that it was off, although it had more than 40% of battery still remaining. I tried turning it back on but as it didn't work I figured something was wrong with it.
I tried hard reset and it did vibrate three times, but it still wouldn't turn on. I thought something drained the battary and waited till I got home to charge it. Now that I am at home it doesn't even charge, none of the LED lights work, it won't connect to pc companion either and hard reset now does nothing (as in, it doesn't vibrate 3 times anymore).
I tried volume up/down+power button combination, hard reset, held the reset button for longer than 15 sec, I removed sd card and sim, nothing works the phone is just lifeless. I haven't dropped it or used it intensely, it never overheat or anything of that sort.
I bought a z5 compact few days ago, and now my fingerprint doesn't work. My password also doesn't match with the one that I've wrote. The reset took some time, and, because i wanted to restart all over again, i decided to manually restore the app-collection (so i turned off the auto-restore option in my google-account).
I've been busy with this during the day, and last night I turned my phone off and connected it to the powercharger.

I could't send an iMessage, so I followed some online troubleshooting tips and tried to reset -- BIG MISTAKE. When I enter my Apple ID, it tells me that account is already in use (yes, by me) and if it's me I have to reset the password. I reset the password from my Mac, but I still keep getting the same message and I can't get past it to reset the phone, which is now completely useless.
