Want to connect my Sprint Curve 8330 blackberry to a high speed internet connection through a USB connection. Have yet to succeed. Getting messages like 'tunnel timed out' Seeking some troubleshooting guidance if there is some protocol barrier.

Now it can't access the Internet and when I connect the USB cable it doesn't recognise the connection however, it does show the phone as recharging. Does anyone know if there is a problem with the upgrade or is unique to my service provider (Telstra) in Australia?

Last weekend she asked me if i could update her software, and i did so from the Blackberry Desktop Software and updated to OS6. Everything was working fine until we found out that it only connects to the internet if i use data service, but i dont want to because we have wi-fi at home. When i turn data services and while roaming OFF, and put wi-fi preferred, and when i try to open a web page in the browser it pop ups a window saying "Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable".

When running any of the apps first time (after installing) connection tru 3G or WiFi is OK. Usually i turn off 3G to save battеry.When i run an app next time - it requires internet connection (Curve 930 internet access is OK. Then - the same problem. What can i change in Curve 9300 settings to solve the problem?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9300 with a preinstalled OS 5.0 as I connect it to a the Blackberry Desktop software it prompted me to upgrade to OS 6.0. now my problem is during upgrading and downloading of modules my internet connection went off several times and error has occurred, now as I connect my 9300 to my laptop the desktop software cannot detect the unit and an error stating that my BB is rebooting thus I cannot connect with the software. 1) I can't configure my personal email because in config panel I only see "blackberry enterprise server" insted the manual represents

2) when I try to connect to internet opening the browser, it appers that I should have Wi-Fi connection on. But has my model GPRS/EDGE connection?
1- wi-fi connected , name of wi-fi comes next to service provider name at top of screen , wi-fi symbol comes at corner
2- mobile network is at off mode
3- browser option at hot-spot
4- the wi-fi diagnostic says status : ip address no longer valid , VPN profile is not found on connected to web the answers comes it is not connected to internet
My phone will only connet to the internet when the wi-fi connection is working. I can have a full signal for text messages and calls but when i turn the wifi off, i cannot connect to the internet or use the app world.
does anyone now how to fix this or know how i need to direct the settings or to see if the settings have been reset or something?
Really loving this phone (8520) and a massive leap from my last phone.
Having trouble with connecting to my or my works wifi. It registers both routers and displays the name across at the top of the phone and in wifi settings I have a black square with a white dash line and a green wifi symbol.
I have a Asda pay as you go sim which is fine for the calls text etc but I hearing not so good for the Internet.
I have managed to get the browser going with the Hotspot setting but I'm guessing this isn't using my home wifi as it as slow as a snail and keeps cutting out.
Without Hotspot enabled it tries to use VodaphoneLive and I get the message "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider"
I am with orange and I have 500MB data per month. When I try and use the mobile network internet it says 'This is a WiFi service. Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again'. Why is this? Also, when i try to update to 5.0 it says I need a data package but it worked on my old phone. And because of this I can't download the app world. The signal goes to SOS a lot as well but I think my house blocks the signal. Currently it says 'gprs' with 2 bars beside it.

View 7 Replies View Relatedmy PC was able to connect to the internet with my 5800 via a USB cable. Now, I can no longer connect to the internet with the 5800 via a USB cable. I had never tried connecting the computer to the internet with the 5800 via Bluetooth prior to this incident, so I tried that. Strangely, it works. My question is how come I can no longer use the 5800 via USB as a modem, but how come the 5800 via Bluetooth still works as a working modem? Sorry, if my sentences are confusing. I have a terrible headache at the moment. While the Bluetooth connection works, I just feel better using the USB connection and knowing that my 5800 has a clean bill of health. BTW, my PC is on Windows 7 Professional at the moment. I've tried uninstalling the Ovi Suite and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. I've also tried using PC suite instead of the Ovi Suite but that didn't work either. What other options do I have, beside hard resetting the phone? Edit: BTW, the message shown when I tried to connect to the internet with the 5800 USB modem was "failed to establish a network connection".
