View 7 Replies View Relatedmy PC was able to connect to the internet with my 5800 via a USB cable. Now, I can no longer connect to the internet with the 5800 via a USB cable. I had never tried connecting the computer to the internet with the 5800 via Bluetooth prior to this incident, so I tried that. Strangely, it works. My question is how come I can no longer use the 5800 via USB as a modem, but how come the 5800 via Bluetooth still works as a working modem? Sorry, if my sentences are confusing. I have a terrible headache at the moment. While the Bluetooth connection works, I just feel better using the USB connection and knowing that my 5800 has a clean bill of health. BTW, my PC is on Windows 7 Professional at the moment. I've tried uninstalling the Ovi Suite and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. I've also tried using PC suite instead of the Ovi Suite but that didn't work either. What other options do I have, beside hard resetting the phone? Edit: BTW, the message shown when I tried to connect to the internet with the 5800 USB modem was "failed to establish a network connection".

Her phone says it has an update ready to install, but I can't find any way to download that update other than to use the phone's monthly internet allowance. And a message warns that doing so might chew up all her allowance and lead to additional charges. That seems like a pretty brutal way for folk to keep their system up to date.
a) She don't have wireless internet and my Mom is confined to home - so going to a wireless hot spot isn't feasible.
b) I tried using the Sync option of connecting to the internet through her home PC
but it doesn't seem to actually use the home internet - still seems to be using her phone's allowance.
I have just done an update on my phone. Now it can't access the Internet and when I connect the USB cable it doesn't recognise the connection however, it does show the phone as recharging. Does anyone know if there is a problem with the upgrade or is unique to my service provider (Telstra) in Australia?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThat allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. The two inputs need to accept the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the charger and the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the data cable

View 2 Replies View Relatedso im interested into understanding why the nokia video cable for n95 costs around 40€ in my country while you can get a very very cheap one for no more than .hat are the advantages of nokia 1 vs a normal 1? does it scale the image to a higher resolution than the phone 240*320? does it offer anything else at all than basic video/stereo audio output?
Im rly curious since i find the price just ridiculous if its the same!
Anyone else notice this? Not sure why Apple would shorten the cable by an inch. Seems rather cheap. Maybe I missed something?

I use a PC at work and the stock sound card is garbage, so the audio quality of music when I listen to Spotify or Pandora is terrible. I have an iPhone and was wondering if there is any way to route the audio output through my iPhone for improved sound quality. I've found a number of applications that do this (WifFi2HiFi, RemoteSound, AirFoil), however all work over WiFi and my PC is not connected to a WiFi network. Is anyone aware of how I can accomplish this through the USB cable? (I realize I can use the apps directly on my phone but am trying to minimize data consumption on my plan).

I have an iPhone 3GS and a Composite AV cable, but my tv won't recognize that the iPhone is plugged in (no video or audio). I've tried it in multiple ports, including the one my dvd player is usually plugged into (so I know that one works). The booklet that came with the cable said to make sure that the iPhone was set up to send a video signal to the tv, but none of the support manuals nor Google has been able to tell me how to do that (at least for a 3GS).
