Jul 14, 2010Anyone else notice this? Not sure why Apple would shorten the cable by an inch. Seems rather cheap. Maybe I missed something?

Mar 19, 2012Apple requires 8 characters, some numbers and some letters and at least one capital. On my iPhone or iPad this becomes a real pain when I want to get another app or update my apps. Is there any shortcut. Why does Apple need my password so often?

Now you have apple, at&t best buy, radio shack and walmart.I think alot of people will still go to apple and at&t but having it available at these other retailers should still curb the lines a little bit.

Mar 20, 2010So I have finally gotten my parts from sw-box and I was excited (matte black bezel + top cover + new keypad). The bezel is decent quality. It fits nice but...... it was fragile and I managed to break a tab for some reason? It is now stuck in my phones midplate which I will later remove by taking EVERYTHING out! I've taken out my stock silver bezel so many times the tabs have never broken so I know I wasn't doing anything wrong.
The only problem I didnt have was the battery cover it fits nice and snug, has a nice weight and the BMW etching on it is nice. The top cover... I have compared the stock cover and the sw-box cover and I noticed that the sw-box cover was shorter AND harder than the stock cover. This resulted in a gap on the top part of the phone and EXTREMELY hard force required to press the lock button and mute key.
The keyboard... well it definitely is NOT a oem! i even ordered the "OEM" or any modeled keyboard like on cnn.cn the buttons are bad, lighting is uneven I will be ordering from CNN.cn next to see how everything is there.. I have ordered many parts for my 9630 there and had no problems for anything what so ever

I know it is too soon to tell -- and I'm playing with the phone more, so that has an impact -- but, if anything, I think I'm getting shorter battery life than I was before. May 7, 2012I use a PC at work and the stock sound card is garbage, so the audio quality of music when I listen to Spotify or Pandora is terrible. I have an iPhone and was wondering if there is any way to route the audio output through my iPhone for improved sound quality. I've found a number of applications that do this (WifFi2HiFi, RemoteSound, AirFoil), however all work over WiFi and my PC is not connected to a WiFi network. Is anyone aware of how I can accomplish this through the USB cable? (I realize I can use the apps directly on my phone but am trying to minimize data consumption on my plan).

May 27, 2012I have an iPhone 3GS and a Composite AV cable, but my tv won't recognize that the iPhone is plugged in (no video or audio). I've tried it in multiple ports, including the one my dvd player is usually plugged into (so I know that one works). The booklet that came with the cable said to make sure that the iPhone was set up to send a video signal to the tv, but none of the support manuals nor Google has been able to tell me how to do that (at least for a 3GS).

The phone has just over 1,000 contacts on it and they only exist on the phone. If it's connected to the iMac and in iTunes, contacts are set to sync, will they transfer to the empty Address Book on the iMac or will the iMac wipe them off the phone?

Jul 5, 2010I just switched over from the 1st Generation iPod Touch to the iPhone 4. I also have iPod/iPhone integration in my car.I noticed with the new iPhone, that the volume on my radio must be turned up much higher than was required with the iPod touch. The problem that this causes is excessive electrical noise from the car, plus a lot more noise from the radio circuitry in the iPhone. On top of that, if I switch over to radio without changing the volume, I get blasted.
I believe if Apple just bumped up the volume a bit for the dock connector, that this issue would be alleviated.To give you an idea... I have a 2006 Mazda3 2.0L. I installed a Neo ProLink PODMAZ-R2V1. With my iPod touch, I usually listened to music on 15/40. With the iPhone, I have to crank it up to about 28/40 to match the iPod Touch.
Increasing the dock volume output will quiet down the electrical interference shared between my car and the iPhone itself as well as keep the volume level between switching to the radio and the iPhone.I know the volume varies from car to car, but the amount of electrical noise heard from the iPhone should be a clear indication that the volume is set too low.Just a little curious if anyone else has noticed this? I know I'm taking quite a big leap from a 1st Gen iPod Touch to a 4th Gen iPhone, but this still shouldn't be an issue.
