Well Im going to apple to fix my phone in a bit. My phone only turns on when in the wall charger so once i move it to my computer it has no power. How do I back it up while its still connected to the wall? Is it possible?
My friend has a Motorola Charm but the internet on it is broken. Before she gets it replaced she wants to back up text messages of her husband who is no longer alive.I don't own this phone so not sure where to start but is there anyway to back up the text messages via a USB cable?
That allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. The two inputs need to accept the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the charger and the 5-pin male mini USB connector from the data cable
I have updated my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 and I can't restore my backup files because when I try to restore my backup iTunes shows that the backup is corrupted or not compatible with the iPhone
When setting up my new iPhone 4s, should I restore from icloud or itunes backup? Or set up as a new iPhone? The phone number is staying the same from my iPhone 4.
Trying to do a backup in anticipation of iOS 4 and the backup process still is taking a long time in 9.2.Also, what steps can be taken to increase the speed of the backup? How would you remove items like photos, music, videos and then be able to easily put them back on the iPhone?
Unable to backup my 4S phone after loading software update 8.1.2. My MACBOOK tells me the last backup is corrupt and wants me to delete it? How do I delete my last backup ?
I have lost ~20 pictures I took during my family's 4th of July event this weekend. It was the first time they have met my 17 month old daughter. Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).
I backed up my iphone to my computer before going to Apple Store where my phone was replaced. Once home I synced up and my apps were restored but not the pictures and video.
Are they there or were they not backed up? If they are there why weren't they restored and what can I do to restore them?
so im interested into understanding why the nokia video cable for n95 costs around 40€ in my country while you can get a very very cheap one for no more than .hat are the advantages of nokia 1 vs a normal 1? does it scale the image to a higher resolution than the phone 240*320? does it offer anything else at all than basic video/stereo audio output? Im rly curious since i find the price just ridiculous if its the same!
I have been backing up an iPhone 4 to iCloud for a while. I then purchased a new iPhone 4 as the old one was damaged, and set it up as a new phone. I haven't got around to setting up icloid backup yet. I now realise I want some data from an app in the old backup. Here is what I propose to do:
1. Backup new iPhone to iCloud
2. Restore new iPhone from old backup
3. Use the app's 'Email me my data feature' to get a copy of the DB
4. Restore new iPhone from new backup
Clearly I can only do this if during step 1 it doesn't overwrite the old backup. Can I have two separate backups?
I just updated to iOS 5.1.1 on my 3GS phone, previously using 5.0, while plugged into the computer and iTunes 10.6.3. I had the phone set to backup to iCloud, and ran a sync operation before updating.Does that not also create a backup? When the restore process began, it asked if I wanted to set up as a new phone or restore from backup. However the list of available backups did not have anything from today. The last one listed was from October 2011.So I cancelled that operation, went through the new phone setup and then it asked if I wanted to restore from iCloud. So I chose the most recent iCloud backup which was from around 6 AM this morning. Now it is in the process of downloading all my apps, pics, and perhaps music as well. I don't know but it's going to take HOURS to finish this.
Anyway I opened some apps that have already downloaded, and some app data appears to be intact. But other apps have nothing after October 2011. And I'm talking apps that have tracked my fitness and workout progress over the past 6 months, bike rides in the past few months, car fuel fillup and maintenance history since October, I'm talking LOTS of data that appears to be gone. What did I do wrong here? Did I not do what I should have done regarding backups? What is the point of backing up to iCloud if it's not going to back up all my app data?
I have a 4s 16gb. I am unable to run the update to iOS7 as I cant back up my phone. So I dont have any access to facetime and some of the new apps. It says it is too big to back up to icloud and then when I plug it into my (new) laptop it is asking me to connect to the original backup PC which is no longer in existence?Â
How I would do this as looking to get a new iphone5 handset but need to back everything up before I can get new handset and restore?Â
I use a PC at work and the stock sound card is garbage, so the audio quality of music when I listen to Spotify or Pandora is terrible. I have an iPhone and was wondering if there is any way to route the audio output through my iPhone for improved sound quality. I've found a number of applications that do this (WifFi2HiFi, RemoteSound, AirFoil), however all work over WiFi and my PC is not connected to a WiFi network. Is anyone aware of how I can accomplish this through the USB cable? (I realize I can use the apps directly on my phone but am trying to minimize data consumption on my plan).
I have an iPhone 3GS and a Composite AV cable, but my tv won't recognize that the iPhone is plugged in (no video or audio). I've tried it in multiple ports, including the one my dvd player is usually plugged into (so I know that one works). The booklet that came with the cable said to make sure that the iPhone was set up to send a video signal to the tv, but none of the support manuals nor Google has been able to tell me how to do that (at least for a 3GS).
Info: iPhone 3GS (8GB), iOS 5.1.1, Composite AV Cable
When I connect my iphone 4s with the AUX cable in the car there is a static noise and very soft music (barely audible) playing. This has been the case in two different cars. How do I fix this issue? Other people have tried their phones with the AUX cable and it worked.
I have Windows 7 installed and have seriously tried everything to fix this, deleting old back ups, cheacking my firewall, unintalling and reinstalling itunes, deleting pictures that may be corrupt. I just plugged my phone into a USB connected to my sisters MacBook and it backed up perfectly! Is this something wrong with my computer?
Only problem is, I'm using the same exact USB cable that I have been using for nearly 2 years. It all the sudden is switching between not being supported and charging (which is annoying, as the phone is vibrating twice every 15 seconds now). Anybody have any clue?
I have an older iPod (3G I think) and the end that goes into the iPod fits into the iPhone 4, but it is slightly bigger. Before using it to charge my iPhone I thought I'd check to see if anyone knows if this will work.
