I just got a blackberry curve. I want to delete an e-mail without opening it but cannot find an option to do this. When I have the e-mail open and I hit the menu key (the one with the spots) there is an option to delete. I would like to be able to do this without having to open the e-mail.

I use Gmail to forward everything to my handheld. but when I login to gmail i cant see whats new and unread because when i open it on my phone it opens it on gmail.
I have been able to read email attachments before (.pdf, word, .xls) but for some reason,I can no longer receive them. There is an attachment which cannot be opened which is a winmail. dat file.To my knowledge, I have not done anything to stop the attachments opening!I upgraded to Version 5 of the software in the hope that this would resolve the problem, but it did not. I can however open .jpg files.I synchronise with Outlook which is still working normally and I can see the attachments OK in Outlook.

After that, if I try to open the e-mail, since it's still on my screen, nothing happen. The message is "empty" but it's still on my phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday, all my incoming emails will not let me delete them. Each time I delete the message it immediately shows up in my inbox again. I have a Gmail account and my Gmail Inbox on my PC is not mirroring this problem. Not only does it not stay deleted but it adds the message as if I've had a reply. For example: "Subject: June 5 Campout (8 items)" Well, the 8 items are not replies from others attending the campout, but rather, it is the same message in my inbox 8 times. Can someone please tell me how to stop this. tried to see if a setting has been changed, but am unable to determine if this has occurred. I am trying to see if somehow, the option, leave a copy of message on the server has been selected, but again, I do not think it has been changed. The only other possibility I can offer is I recently added my work email account to my personal Gmail account, but that had been working correctly for a week or two before this problem began. Could IMAP options/activation cause this to occur? I had looked into my Gmail settings yesterday before this began but I don't think I changed anything but it's possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 a few weeks ago and I've added 3 e-mail accounts to it the same day to see how it works, it worked fine on the first day but on the next one it stopped working. Only then I created a BIS account - which TIM is my carrier -. Now the problem is: I can't delete these 3 accounts I've added earlier. I've tried to add them again trying to make it work properly, but I am unable to re-add them. On my BIS carrier website, It says that I've reached the maximum e-mail accounts.
How can I delete these e-mail accounts? I've tried the methods found on the web, like the one to "reconciliate"(?) the e-mail account option through wifi (on the phone). PS: My Blackberry is running a 6.0 bundle 2391 OS.

I can open attachments (have docs to go and attachment service) on all but one of the pop addresses (''this attachment type cannot be viewed on your device'). have resent service books, registered HRT (?) and double checked I have both docs to go and attachment service. It can also take several minutes to actually update or delete emails. It has taken me 40 minutes to open and send 6 emails.

If I want to check again 1 minute after and the app is "open" it takes ages (about 2 minutes) before it actually checks the server ?? It's like a 2 minutes delay...
However, if I close the app and open to check again.... it's no problem. So basically I have to close the app (by double clicking the home button) EVERYTIME to be able to check my mails.... isn't that strange ?

Also, I moved a message from my sent folder to the inbox and then decided to move it back. Inbox and Trash are the only locations available when I select the message and then select move.
There is oneemail msg in my mailbox that whenever I try to delete it it freezes up my mail program and then my entire iPad . I have to shutdown and restart to use the iPad.

Earlier today, my BB started doing something weird. When I get a new email, I highlight it and press the trackball to open it, but it opens the previously received email instead. If I hit the back button (taking me back to the email list) and then hit the new email again, it still takes me to the previous email. The only way to open the new email is to scroll up to the date and then back to the email, which will then open the correct one.
Also, if the new email is highlighted and I delete it, it deletes the previous email instead.
I've tried a battery pull and it doesn't help. I'm on a TMO 9700 running OS .330.
When i get a new email from yahoo, and check it on the BB and after I read the email and delete it, it will not show up on my yahoo email when I check on my laptop. But when i check my email for yahoo on my laptop, it still shows up on my BB and doesnt delete unless I personally delete it. Is there an option that when i check my email from my laptop that it will delete on my BB??
