Jul 25, 2011i am trying to download and install a few apps but it says i have no space available and i should delete stuff. i have tried to delete everything i can see, but despite the fact i have only BB Messenger, Whatsapp and Blackberry App Manager installed, i still have no space!!
im sure these apps cannot be taking all the device memory (64MB) - so what to do? all vids, pics and audio i have are stored on the memory card.
BB Curve :: Space Bar Broken On 8520?
Dec 2, 2011everytime i press my space bar on my bb curve 8520 it carries on instead of using one space. the only way to stop it going across the screen is to keep pressing delete. ive tried taking it apart and cleaning the copper plates but nothing has changed. what can i do?

Feb 3, 2010I have a BlackBerry 8330 and I am having problems with my SprintTV, NFL Mobile Live App, etc where I cannot watch any video or audio from those apps. I took it into a Sprint Tech Store, and they thought that maybe it was becuase I either had an after market App that was interfereing with the audio/video feeds, or that I was simply using too much memory and it was interfereing with the audio/video. Tehy couldn't tell me where to look for the Device Memory and had no idea how much it came with out of the box and how much I was using.
I need to know how much Device Memory comes on a BB 8330, where to look in my BB to find out how much I'm using, and need to know if there are any suggestions or tricks I can perform to free some up without deleting too many apps (if that's even possible). From the other forum answers I've read, I don't think there's a way to free space without deleting content. I see Device Memory in my Options, but it only says:
File Free: 27080648 Bytes
Is that a lot left, or is that close to being depleted? Is that actually the Device Memory, or is that something else? There's nowhere that tells me how much I started with.

Jun 9, 2011I have recently upgraded from a 8520 to 9300 and Im having problems with the application memory free space. I only have 55.1MB of free space and I cant download apps in app world cos it uses up all the free space. My space has been as low as 6.1MB. This is my 2nd phone from Virgin as I had the problem with the 1st 9300 and I had to send it back and they said that it was a problem that cant be fixed so they sent me a reconditioned phone but this phone seems to have the same problem too.
I have a 4gb media card installed to save all my pics and music onto.
BB Curve :: 8520 Space Bar And Other Keys Are Not Working?
Feb 28, 2012I've got a Curve 8520, and yesterday my phone randomly started playing up.The space bar is not working at all, the alt key only works when pressed and released (usually I can hold it down to write numerous symbols) and the answer and hang up buttons have to be held down for around 4 seconds to answer/end a call?? All of these problems occurred at the same time leading me to believe it's a software problem? I've tried several hard resets, without success.I haven't installed any new apps or updated software recently.

I was looking through my settings and was trying to test out a feature, forget exact feature but it either involved hitting the home button 3 times or it was holding the home and volume down buttons at the same time (I am guessing it was some combination of these two that activated my issue). I can not remember the exact feature as I was fiddling through the entire Settings menu for awhile before this happened . Regardless of the feature, I somehow managed to put my phone into a mode where everything requires a double tap to select and it has made using the phone near impossible.
When I attempt to tap something, lets say the Google toolbar for example, I get a blue box that surrounds the selected item and I get a vibration (that didnt happen before) & nothing happens. Unless I do a rapid double tap the app/icon/whatever will just become highlighted. Once I do the double tap and manage to get Google Now open, it becomes impossible to input text, it seems the double tap sometimes will select a letter, but it takes multiple attempts to even get the letter to register and by the time it does i end up with 4 of the same letter.
Oddly if i just single tap a letter or tap on a blank area of my home screen, I get what feels like a quarter powered vibration. This issue extends to every input on the phone, and when I say that everything requires a double tap I do mean EVERYTHING - I had to type this message with my fiances phone because I could not even manage to type it out on my own phone. I can not even manage to bring down my notification pullbar from up top because it ALL requires a double tap!
How to get rid of this and revert back to normal? I would prefer if I did not have to perform a factory reset...

I did not realise that it needed the internet. I have GPS in my car and it seems to connect with the Satellite immediately. The Iphone does not seem to operate in the same way. For example, if I plan a route using my Iphone in a Wi-Fi Area (my own), when I go outside to follow the route and proceed along the various steps, do I still need an internet connection?.

The timeout is fixed to 15 min, after you need to enter the code again if you want to use the phone!When seeting the security code you are forced to enter digit AND letters!I first tought it is a our corporate security rule, but IT department said no, it is the phone.Even worse when entering the security code it does allow only digits.If you keep pressing the lower right key, the alphabetic keys appear and you may enter a letter.(if you manage it you will need to send your phone to Nokia care, because it does not start anymore)Now when ever I want to access my C7, e.g. check my email, I need to enter the security code - accepted. However entering digits AND letters every time is quite annoying.

May 3, 2010I have ATT version of the NEON and I would like it to automatically lock and thus require a security code to dial out or look at my text messages, etc. etc.So for example I would like for it to require a security code everytime I unlock the automatic key lock. (the key lock doesn't require a code just have to open it or hit the yes button). You can set the phone to require the security code (default is 0000) when you power up the phone, or when a new Sim Card is put in or immediately.
Immediately would be ok if it stayed on but the immediately option only works once.So short of going through the menus and setting it immediately each time or powering the phone off and then back on Does anyone know a way to do a lock on the Neon? Don't most phones have a lock feature?
