I keep getting a notice saying 'The data service not operational' whenever I try to access Appworld..this occurred after I downloaded and deleted an app I didn't want and after restarting the phone this has happened. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to access web sites from the Blackberry browser I get the "Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service. Please try again later" message. This happens whether connected through the T-Mobile network or Wi-fi.When I change the browser settings to the T-Mobile browser I am able to access web site just fine. However I would prefer to use the Blackberry browser because not all pages load correctly with the T-Mobile browser.
I have an active data plan and am connected to an enterprise server. My outlook and webmail e-mails work so I don't think it's a problem with my carrier. I've tried a battery pull, re-sending my service books, etc without luck.I think the problem may have started after connecting to my desktop for the first time in about a year, but I'm not completely certain. T-Mobile support and IT administrator have been no help.
Just received my second replacement phone today and already I am back to having issues once again with this phone. Within two hours of it being up and operational my phone has froze up on me and is making noises as it's connecting to the dock when it's not near it. I called Verizon and they told me to do a master reset of my phone. After explaining to them several times I have done this twice already they said that there was nothing that they could do for me except send me another phone yet again.

My signal is strong, and I am connected. However, when I call the BB browser or the recently installed Opera, both tell me that there is no connection. I don't want to pay ATT for a data plan when I basically want to access the Internet as I would with a laptop. Don't I have all the elements in place to do that?I suspect I have some parameter set wrong, but I don't know which.
i have i phone 3g and my service is airvoice pp service which is i do not have data service but iphone has tom tom gps so time to time i'm used tom tom gps. and i like to know how good is nexus one batt life.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got a Blackberry Bold 9000 in my hands so after the first set up i had to do i tried to install blackberry app world via WiFi. It didn't work. I had to download from the site to my PC Install Desktop Manager and after that finally after a long time of searching i installed blackberry app world on my device. Worked nice and i installed Bolt browser (one of the apps). After this though i tried to access again the App world and a pop-up message appears that says "The data service is not oerational". I searched google a bit and many guys say that you need a data plan with your provider to download apps. The problem is that i downloaded Bolt with WiFi internet access and having "Mobile Network - Off" when i did it but i cannot do it again.

I notice the signal for my reception bar is full however I it doesn't say 4g or anything at all next to it. I restarted the phone, drove to different locations same issue. I think this started from yesterday. I also checked my mobile data setting, seems to be set correctly and it's on. Attach is a photo of signal and no data works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 new 9850s, both on US Cellular network, one is mine and the other one is my wife's. No enterprise, both BIS. They are both running OS 7.0 2048. I am having the same problem on both phones. Battery pulls do not fix the issue. Resending service books and pushing the HRT temporarily fixes it.Whenever we enter a spot that drops the data connection (the symbol in the top right changes from 3Gwith the 4 dot blackberry symbol, to just the 3G only SYMBOL) we stop receiving emails. This also happens if we are in an area that is 1X and changes to 1x. I understand why our emails stop, because the data service is unavailable. That's not my issue.My issue is this...when we do move back into an area that has data service, the data connection is not automatically restored. I have to manually go into each phone and push the host routing tables to reregister the devices to get them to receive data again.US Cellular said that they've done everything and that their end is working fine. We just changed from curves and never had a problem getting emails before. If I did lose the data signal, it would immediately reconnect when the data signal was available again.It seems like the Torch units simply stop looking for a data signal after a time of unavailability, like it looks for data and says "We'll guess i'm in an area with no data service. I'm going to just quit looking", but then never remembers to check again later.The wi-fi is off all the time.
It really sucks to have to register the phone over and over again after each trip into my warehouse, where there is no data service available. And its really strange that it is both phones.Apparently there are for signal modes on this phone...1x, 1X, 3G, and 3Gwith bb symbol. If mine drops from the 3G with bb symbol, emails just stop coming and I can no longer connect to email settings. Whats worse is that I have to push the HRT to get reconnected.Does anyone have any suggestions?i don't want to have to defect to an Android device, but this phone simply hasn't been reliable so far. I can't imagine it's US Cell network because our Curves have always worked fine. And I also can't imagine that i purchase 2 defective Torches. These has to be a setting somewhere that will force the phone to search for a data signal all the time and not just give up.
I bought a new Neo V and I allow the phone to discharge. I charged the phone and then try to put it back on. The phone is telling me there is no data service and it immediately cuts off.

recently got moved to kuwait and wanted to keep using my blackberry storm 2. so i got the unlock code and unlocked it. after that i got a pre-paid SIM and phone and sms works great, connected to 3g and everything but anytime i try to use something that requires internet it says i need a wifi connection to do that. when i got the pre-paid the guy at the phone shop said it would work with blackberry internet and email. is there a setting i'm missing?

I was not able to restore connections. The only way to get them back working was to go in settings, mobile networks, then perform diagnostic test which usually fixes the issue. I was told today by a VZW rep that this is happening because I have wifi turned on. Is this correct?
I am a new BB user and have recently purchased the BB 9700. I have NEVER been able to use the Facebook App. I had downloaded the v1.7 from App world and it never worked giving me the message: "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support"
I deleted it and tried downloading from the link sent from this website for v1.6 and received this message:
"Notice Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook." I must state that this is not the only problem I am having, it now seems that Bluetooth doesn't work either.
I recently unlocked a Rogers Bold 9700 and began using it with my Fido sim card. I added a small data plan to my current services from Fido but I am not receiving any data. I have called Fido 3 times and they can't seem to do anything. They gave me their APN settings and I have input them manually and still no data.

Now, i'm currently in Ukraine and temporarily i'm using ukraine service provider, Beeline. But it seems like my edge symbol at top right is in lower case and i unable to use my data application at all. I try to put APN setting (internet.beeline.ua) at the TCP but still not working. Is there any conflict if i temporarily change service provider?
