im using a blackberry bold 9700, and ive tried downloading apps from appworld, but now when i try to download or visit bbappworld, they tell me "the data service not operational" ? this has been going on for a few months already. when i first got my bb, it worked, but after a week or so it suddenly became like this.

When I switch the SIM card the handset ask for blackberry ID and password, on entering the details it says invalid Blackberry ID. Within two hours of it being up and operational my phone has froze up on me and is making noises as it's connecting to the dock when it's not near it. I called Verizon and they told me to do a master reset of my phone. After explaining to them several times I have done this twice already they said that there was nothing that they could do for me except send me another phone yet again.

View 11 Replies View RelatedRight from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

The same problem occurs whether I have automatic time update on or off.Also once or twice a week it will download emails with the date 01/01/2000 instead of todays date. I can log into my emails via Outlook Express on my p.c and the date will be correct there.I have software version v20 installed, the same problems still occurred on the previous firmware as well.Any help greatfully received

After one week, I think I got my Bold under control, but something still bothers me:I have my calendar set up to display my agenda when I open it. When I want to enter a new event, I open the menu, navigate to Go to date, click on it, the slider with day, month, date, year appears, I set to the date I want to go to and press the pad. It takes me NOT to the date I chose, but to the closest date with an event on it.
Is it because I have it set to display agenda? I"m I using a wong command sequence? Is this program dumb?
When I access the call log from the main screen, highlight a call and select view history, the date displays wrong. Even if I just made a call, hang up and view the log, it shows the date as the next day. Example: Made a few calls last night (Mar 08), then had to report date and time; after all calls made, viewed call log to get times and showed calls made on Mar 09. However, if I go to Messages / View Folder / Phone Call Logs, the dates are showed correctly. Any idea why this is?

It is amazing that this can happen without any warning. This is definitely not the first time I'm loosing all my data. It's so frustrating that I'm considering strongly to leave BlackBerry and switch to another make.Also a helpdesk you can call to and speak to a real person seems to be not in place at BlackBerry. Maybe they hate customers?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning (24th December), and my phone had set the date and time to the 29th November, and the time is 6 hours behind (its now 3pm and it is apparently 8:43 on my phone.) Moreover, I can't read my text messages, I can't see text messages that I send, and my blackberry services have stopped working (i.e.. I cannot send emails or access BBM.) I have restarted/rebooted the phone almost a million times, but every time it comes back on the time keeps being set back to 7:49 every single time. I have no idea what to do!

I recently got a BB bold that's unlocked from ATT. I do not have the Blackberry plan, I only have T-zones. I am able to surf the web and such using opera mini. All my weather and internet radio applications work fine. The only thing I can not get to work is MMS. I can receive but not send. Says no mms service book.I found a generic T-zones service book that I installed to the phone using DM. Unfortunately the service book does not contain the MMS book. Where can I find or add this service book? There must be a way. Is is possible for someone else to send me their service book and have that work?
