View 4 RepliesHowever the last few weeks, it's been cutting out, Crashing, freezes up. Boots up, goes to the White Screen and goe's black, doesn't come on for at least 5 minutes before it boots up.I've been trying to reload its software but unable to because the phone freezes up and cuts off. So i have no clue what to do at this point. It has little episodes where it spazzes out goes white and the screen flickers for 20 seconds and shuts off. Battery pulls have been tried to fix the issue but even that isn't even working.i'm a Blackberry Guru myself but i've never seen this issue ever before on my Curve 3G. The odd occasional crash maybe due to over load on the memory, but this is getting beyond a joke, i can't even boot it up for at least 10 minutes or even a minute after it boots up it goes like Hell is decending into the thing.
UPDATE: I'm also being informed i'm not the only one with this issue, a fair few blackberries have gone insane in my area. Like if a hacker is tapping into the software and destroying it inside out with a virus or something. < An idea but not accurate.
a few months ago, I had to update my software to fix issues with my browser, it has solved my browser issues but since then my phone keeps freezing. Iv tried wiping the phone but still having problem?
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy daughter has a 9300 she only got it at xmas but its starting to play up. Several times a day it completely freezes and she has to remove the battery to reset it, it has also turned itself off a few times even thought it has a full charge.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BlackBerry 9300 curve is (usually) freezing after the booting progress bar has reached the end. Occasionally, I can get it to connect to my Desktop Software. And very occasionally, after trying to connect, it goes into some unrecognisable text version of its screen. I'm able to scroll about on this and try various things, but I keep getting Java errors. After a number of these I got a message saying "AppError 601" and the phone rebooted. Hasn't shown particular signs of life yet (back to freezing at the end of its boot progress).
I did manage successfully to use the resettofactory command from the MacOS terminal to get it to wipe. However, from the text-only screen, and judging by the documentation as well, it doesn't remove apps. And I'm guessing this is app-related.I've tried booting it in safe mode, which left me with a frozen screen with text in the background and a rectangular logo screen in the foreground (there's also a screenshot in the attachments).Even if none of this rings a bell with any of you, do any of you know how to delete the apps from the command line?
i have a curve 9300 and the stupid trackpad keeps freezing :'( im getting pretty frusterated cuz i cant do anything at all with my phone and its starting to really piss me off.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Curve 9300 keeps freezing and then the screen will go white and the LED light will go red, after about 10 - 20 seconds it'll reboot. It does this ATLEAST 5 times a day. Is there anyway to fix this? I've tried "reloading the OS" tried a sytstem wipe and fresh install but no luck.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy trackpad keeps freezing, I have tried: taking the battery out leaving it for a night, turning in off for a day, turning it off and taking the battery out. I give up now, I have tried all sorts and this was a gift for my birthday a month ago, I'm quite disappointed as this was my first blackberry and I don't think I'll be buying another one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had issues with the trackpad freezing before but after a few hard resets it's always fine. 30 resets later, it still doesn't work, so I can't scroll or even press it to get to any of my applications.I've read the forum posts on finding the screw at the back, but this doesn't seem to be there for the 9300...can someone give some helpful and specific to the 9300 advice?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been having problems with my blackberry curve 9300 for the past month, quite often now I get the timer come up on my screen and I cant do anything for sometimes hours, I have done a software update and I end all my apps every night but it still happens I've even wiped everything off my phone and still getting the same problem. This happened with my last blckberry as well but I sent that one off and your company didn't know what was wrong with it and it got sent back to be with even more problems than it did have. Is there a way of resolving this without sending it off?
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy girlfriends curve 9300 has been randomly shutting itself off. It's a little over a year old (no longer in warranty) and has no water damage. Once shut off, it needs to be plugged-in in order to start itself back up (hard restart process, taking apprx. 3 minutes). We have tried replacing the battery, I have reset it to factory settings, reloaded the OS from scartch, upgraded, downgraded, everythign I could think of, and yet the problem persists. We went to her provider (Virgin Mobile) but they were useless, and told us to make sure the blackberry is fully upgraded and if its still not working then we're out of luck.I understand that the blackberry is now out of warrantly however I am interested in the approximate cost and time for a repair, and we really can't afford a new blackberry at the moment.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a Blackberry Curve 9300 on O2 in the UK. My wife locks the phone, tests that it is locked ok, which it is. Then she puts it in her handbag. She'll then take it out a bit later, and the phone will be unlocked, sometimes with something open. How can this happen? The only way of unlocking it is using the unlock button on the top of the device, which isn't easy, even when you're trying to.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got a Blackberry Curve 9300 about 3 months back and have had no troubles till last week. I have shifted base from India to the UK and am currently on O2. The blackberry was purchased in India. Since the last week my BB has been randomly showing up the wait icon (the small clock), gets frozen and draining the battery very fast. Some specs below.6.0 Bundle 2475 (v 6.0.0.546, Platform 6.6.0.207) just to let you know I was using Airtel (Bharati Cellular Services India) back then.Free Space: 54929611 bytes I feel that my BB has trouble hooking up with the O2 network (not very sure cause I used it for a good 2 weeks without any problem).I have done innumerable battery pulls and quite a few reinstalls including restoring it to factory defaults and reinstalling the OS again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday, randomly the headphone port stopped working, when I play music with headphones in, they are not recognized and music is played through the speaker instead. Do I have to replace the jack? I have rebooted many times. When the headphones are halfway in, the phone recognised them for a short while but then carries on playing through speaker. My software version is 6.0 BUNDLE 2647 (v6.0.0.600, Platform 6.6.0.223).
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy curve 9300 just randomly stopped working I cannot txt or receive texts or use bbm and when I try and make a phone call it says 7ut1 your phone is not activated on the network what does this mean and how can I fix it? I've tried taking out the battery.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAs above on o2 had it almost a month now, had a few freezes in the first week but were few and far between. In the last week or 2 though they have been getting progressively more and more and now in the last couple of days have also been joined by random reboots.
I haven't been able to trace them to any installed app as they happen completely randomly, it also seems to be independent of any connectivity setting. o2 will exchange the phone for me but I can't make it crash to prove to them its faulty, if indeed it is.. Have looked on the site but can't find anyone with similar problems or any indication of what it may be.
I just upgraded my x8 to the 2.1 version. After the upgrade im experiencing reboots a lot of times. What can I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've had the Turbo for about a month now and am extremely upset with the constant reboots. For the first few weeks the phone worked fine, nothing was out of the ordinary.
However, within this past week the phone has started freezing... I'll be using it and then suddenly the screen freezes and sits there and reboots itself. It does this a few times a day....
My 808 reboots itself randomly and without any user input. This happens every now and then. Sometimes goes a couple of days without problem, sometimes it restarts couple of times a day. This mornig, for example, I was using Maps and Public Transport apps to find my way to work. When I got to office, I put the phone avay for a few minutes and during that time it had restared itself, while being in my pocket and screen lock on. All I managed to see was the white dot animation, which is shown at early stages of the startup, followed by home screen icons loading one by one.Device had and still has no third party apps or background services running. In fact, only apps I had used recently were offical release versions made by Nokia and downloaded from Nokia Store.Nokia should really get their act together and improve software quality of the both firmware and utilites running on top of it.
View 19 Replies View RelatedOk so basically, I have owned this phone since new, it's never been Jailbroken and the only "modification" that has ever been done is I've had the back glass replaced with a custom one I had made up.
The last 3 months or so, the phone during standard use tends to just reboot, the screen goes black, I get the little spinny wheel then it will either turn back onto the lock screen and behave, or it will continually do this.
I've also noticed that if it does automatically go back to the lock screen, some apps do not re-open, even after they have been closed properly from the home bar, they open then just close almost instantly which forces me to reboot the phone.
The worst case scenario is I have to do a full reboot - hold down home and power buttons till the screen goes black, then turn it back on, this can take upto 10 minutes sometimes which in my experiance is rather long..

Tried a few searches, but didn't find anything specific to the subject.Received my Lumia 920 last night, and since then it has either hung or rebooted randomly over a dozen times. It seems to happen mostly when navigating through screens or accessing apps. It will sit and stream music from the Nokia Music service fine... I have to perform a reset to recover the phone when it hangs.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am on my 2nd blackberry 9700 bold on tmboile and have the same issue where it randomly reboots during the day. I don't have any third party apps and have wiped and reinstalled operating system and tried reinstalling the bbm messenger. I primarily use the blackberry group chat on bbm messenger during the day for the phone and am not sure if thats causing the issue because other members of the bbm group chat are not having any issues. The network is 3G for tmobile in chicago, so I doubt if coverage is issue.

My Z3+ randomly reboots multiple times/day(30+). I've tried restoring with PC Companion, hard reset, factory reset, safe mode, everything. I tried running diagnostics but it's a crapshoot. Sometimes I will get a neverending loading loop and sometimes I'll get a error message, "Unfortunately Diagnostics has stopped." and then the phone will reboot iself.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Lumia 920 today, and now have the problems described in the thread subject... Every few minutes while idle, the phone will power down and immediately power up again. This does render the phone useless to me.. When trying to shut it down to remove the SIM card I noticed I cannot even shut it off. It would instantly turn itself back on again.
Did anyone else notice this kind of behaviour from their Lumia 920 (or maybe other phones as well)? I was really looking forward to this device and this really ruins it for me
