My SMS/MMS list has gone crazy, it is displaying a couple of messages from months ago rather than the usual chronoligical display. If I hit ALT S the list reverts back to normal and I can see all of the messages that I have sent in the correct order.

I've had my 8900 for two years. I really love the phone, but around the beginning of December 2010, it started doing something funky. It seems that when I am either talking on the phone for a long period of time (around 15 minutes or so) or in the middle of a movie or while taking a video, the phone will go to a plain white screen, and it is impossible to turn it off or have any other interaction. In short, it freezes on that white screen. At other times, it will power itself off, and it also appears frozen, with no possible interaction. In either case, when I remove the battery for a few minutes and replace it, sometimes it comes back on, and other times I have to plug it into a charger, whether it's a USB cable or AC charger. In any case, I may have started with a full battery, but after this, the battery now only shows three and a half of five battery blocks. This is not limited to the OS, since it happened with the original OS back in December (4.6) and continues to occur now that I have upgraded to OS 5. It seems to be hardware related.

I uprgraded to .681 about a week ago, and have done a battery pull since, so is it related to the upgrade?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 8900 which I love but which I think may have broken my spirit this time.When I go into my contacts to search for a contact it just goes on to 'Add contact' - when I type the contact name into the 'find contact' option it then decides to add a new one instead.It will let me search my SIM card contacts but, not being the cleverest of people, my contacts aren't all on my SIM.If I go through the Search icon on my desktop and search through contacts it will let me find them through there but I don't understand why my contacts bit has changed, and how to reverse this?
The contacts are there when I go to SMS someone but if I am trying to send a message through MMS (ie a picture) then the same contact search problem occurs.I am not the most technologically-minded of people but I really love this phone and I don't know what I have done wrong!!
Any one know how you unlock the speed dial list? A few of the letters are locked like A for lock, W for voicemail etc. Would be great if I could change them but not sure how?

orange dont have a clue. I get SMS messages from 40001, 91240, with AL (then a small black square) r. They come at all times and i have to turn off phone at night. I have tried texting stop back , they seem like network based messages, and i think it may be due to wifi or reception as they seem to come through when entering or leaving wifi areas or going in and out of reception
View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving an issue with the calendar on my iPhone 4S. Events display one day late in list view, but display properly in month view. For instance, an event I just created for tomorrow, Thursday April 5th, will display under Friday April 6th in the list view, but display properly in day and month views. Also some events are simply not shown. For instance, for a three day consecutive event, the first two events are shifted forward a day and the third drops out of view. All events are synced and display properly on my iPad, however.

My Curve 8300 Randomly does NOT Ring when people call me.. or sometimes will not receive texts untill I make a call or something and when I hang up the inbox will have like 10 new messages that it I guess forgot to download untill I made a call.The big thing is though the ringing,, it will randomly not even ring when someone calls me.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOn my curve 8320, I had a folder "SMS & MMS" for just SMS and MMS messages, and separate folders for email accounts (***@gmail.com & ***@tmo.blackberry.com) and another folder "Messages" for all messages.
On my 8900, the only folders I have is just the "Messages" folder, and my email folders. Is there anyway to get the "SMS & MMS" folder back? I hate going through all my emails and whatnot for my text messages.
I backed up my data. How do I open it now? For example, how do I read my SMS messages on my PC?

My total contacts list both online and in phone are fine, but my quick access groupings of my contact list are in random order! No one seems to know how to correct short of hard reset.... IT's A WEEK OLD!!btw, online those groups are in alphabetical order.

I could send MMS and everything else was fully functional.I figured it was an OS problem and upgraded to 5.0.0.592, but still no luck.I guess I'm a complete novice at this since the last BB I owned was the Pearl and that was two years ago, so is there a way I can clean the whole device and put everything back to factory settings and start from the ground up?would this tactic solve my issue, anyway?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from a MotoRazr2 V8 to a BlackBerry 8900 Curve so I wanted to transfer my data from the Moto to the BB. Well, I learned that Moto doesn't play nicely with Mac so my MacBook Pro was not much of a help. I had better luck with my HP running XP and managed to get the contacts switched without too much trouble.
The SMS records are another matter. I couldn't find a way to transfer them using BB Desktop Manager so I made a text file copy of them into a Windows folder I created. Two actually - one for inbox and one for sent items. Now I can't find a way to load those text files onto the Curve. I've tried every way I could think of using Desktop Manager but no dice. I would love a solution that does not require buying more software.
All of the sudden I am no longer receiving SMS text messages. I can still send them, but don't get any response. Any ideas on how to correct this?

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy phone is constantly putting o's into every word, and often just straight up barely types. It also is continuously calling numbers even after I've deleted them from my phone.
I called Bell and they had me wipe my phone and that didn't do anything, so I upgraded the software which also did nothing.
Is there a way to list ONLY emails in the Messages screen? I don't want to see Twitter alerts or call log info, JUST emails.Also, is there way a to check for emails manually? When I am home, I don't care about getting the emails on my phone so I want to be able to set how often it checks.

My friends just sent me a message and I cannot click and read it. I cannot reply or do anything about the messages. Then I just delete the whole thing. That means I lost all msg from that friends in 6 months. Then the SMS thing works again. Then after a few messages in our txt conversation, the problem came back
